Had such a bad experience at Kerrisdale Optical. I went in with my friend to get a pair of Victoria Beckham sunglasses. The Chinese guy helping us out was very rude and my friend and I were very uncomfortable the whole time there. A while after trying on the glasses, I accidentally dropped one of the sunglasses and he immediately said "I don't care you have to buy it". While I did not mind as I went in with the intent of getting a pair of VB sunglasses anyway, the whole process just felt forced and we both felt very uncomfortable. He kept repeating the drop issue and made us feel very guilty. When my friend asked the prices of other pairs, he looked annoyed and turned to me and said out loud "I already told her the price why didn't she listen, do you remember what I said". After telling him that we did not catch what he said, he still would not tell us the prices and said "Come next time with cash and I will tell you the price". WTF kind of customer service is this? Super rude, made it seemed like he thought my friend did not have the money to buy it. Also, it was not as though we were there for long at all, 10 minutes tops trying on different pairs. Considering the Victoria Beckham sunglasses are around $1000-$1,500 in price, was it so wrong for us to inquire as much as we like about the products?
We would never go back to this place again. I don't know where this guy learned about customer service but I have never had such a bad sale experience in Vancouver. He was rude and intimidated us when it was not necessary. Cannot believe I spent over $1,000 at this place. read more
