I took them back to the store, not expecting them to be able to be repaired, or at least, to be expensive to repair. The store owner asked if I would mind waiting a couple of minutes, he took them out the back and not only repaired them but polished the lenses and tightened the not bent side. When I asked the cost, he said 'nothing'. What a wonderful experience!!!! These days, 4th Avenue has a number of glasses stores with all your typical custom styles but if you want real style and real service, Spectus is the place to go.

I really didn't have more than a vague idea of what I was looking for when I walked in. I was helped by the owner herself, who was extremely patient with me while helping me look through and try on countless pairs of frames. It's not everyday you get serviced by the person most passionate about the business! She was very candid about what she thought looked good and what didn't, which I appreciated.  After about twenty minutes of trial and error, I finally zeroed in on a pair of frames I love. I also bought a separate pair of reading glasses, which I am also extremely happy with. My glasses arrived about three days earlier than promised, and when I picked them up, they spent a good deal of time making sure the fit was exactly right.  The people there truly care about customer satisfaction! As other reviewers have commented, this place isn't cheap. They carry mid to high end brands and it has much better service and price than you'll find at a mall; you can go to Costco and get glasses for about half the price. What you will not get if you go elsewhere is the attention to detail, the selection, and the patience from the staff while you try on your next pair of shades at A&P Optical. Do yourself a huge favor and buy your next pair of glasses there.

Sunny was really great to work with - very friendly and helpful, worked within my price range and didn't try and push me for anything I didn't feel I needed. Helped me pick something stylish and that suited me. Also nice, they direct billed my insurance company and only charged me the difference. Highly recommend this shop! I could tell it's a little gem based on all the friendly customers that kept coming in, and everyone knew each other by name. They even helped me decide on my frames. Felt like a family.

From what I've heard from friends is that they are forced to feel guilt and shame from optical people for buying from CC, and obviously this wasn't the case. I wasn't embarrassed that I went online to save a buck, & no pressure to buy anything extra from him! Woo! Next time I need really nice glasses, I'll buy from these guys. I also got my husband to go in & get his glasses from them, and it was such an easy experience. Their warranty was 1year and they fixed it for 'half' the regular price $350+ (later I found. their 'half price' was the full price at other stores & the warranties where 2yrs) Well it happen again, after 2-3yrs the film start peeling off again and eyedol wants me to pay the 'half price' again. when I got the glasses inspected at other stores, they can only speculate the wrong materials were used Hard to think to deal with them again. To deal with eyedol its an unwanted yearly expense

They offer me again half price, but their 'half price' was the regular price at other three stores I checked +-$20. When I told them that, they stop emailing with me at the other opticals, they were not sure why the lenses peeled like that, but they did say it was very unusual. one venture to say it could have been the un-proper mix of materials (one rigid & one soft) eyedol never explained when I told them ...also, to mention other store's warranty is always two years Just on principle is very hard to deal with them again
