I was referred to this store after looking to pick up a pair of prescription safety glasses. This store is located on the exterior side of the mall, facing Hazelbridge directly. I mean that literally. Even after talking to the store owner it took me several tries to find the place. Parking is available in front of the strip mall, but there are way too few spots. Be sure to camp and block up traffic while waiting for a space to free up. The inside is tidy, and has that nice "London Drugs" smell (I think it's hand lotion?) to it. The staff were quite efficient, and answered all my questions promptly. They even printed out my benefits claims forms for me. As for the selection - they actually had a decent catalogue of what I needed. When I needed samples to try that they didn't have on hand, they told me they'd order them, and promptly called me back as soon as the samples showed up. They explained the pricing for the different lens options, and I was in and out in under an hour, with a few hundred bucks missing. Doesn't get any better than this. Recommended. read more

This is my favorite eyeglass store still. Not only selection for stylish glasses but friendly service. Virginia helped me today again to choose my sunglasses. She has fashion sense and practicality. In addition, a pair of my glasses had scratches. There was still warranty. He was happy to reorder the lense for replacement. My father-in-law had Sunny order a pair. He also has unique prism eye condtion. He was able to check what the optometrists prescription the just to double check. For the moment, it's a 2-star for having limited sales, as asked the guy who seemed to be more of the wheeling and dealing type lol. So nothing advertised in terms of signs. They've got some big heavy names, like Cartier and Chanel, even their Porsche Design are locked up in a display case in the corner (why?? lol). Located in one of the world's poorest-design plazas where Li Do bakery and that all you can eat buffet upstairs; at certain times, they even put out a 'one-way traffic sign'. so yes, it's hard to find parking here. read more

Great service. The only place I trust. The Manager, Sunny, is the man you should see. He's very professional and helpful. Anything wrong with your glasses, he'll fix it for you, no problem. Sunny is so nice and friendly........everyone love him!!!!! There are not too many places you can trust out there. Buying prescription glasses is very important if you pick the right place, because you're spending like a good $350-600 for a pair of glasses. And this particular pair of glasses, we wear them everyday, so the glasses should be comfortable and we should see things clearly without headaches. I've misplaced my Wayfarers, possibly at Save On Meats while I was stuffing my face... So I decided to use my pimped out Italian made sunglasses but they were a tad too big. So I dropped in the other day and brought my "not bought here" glasses and they happily adjusted them for me. I've been purchasing my contacts here for over 5 years now and they provide great service with a smile. If you realize too late that you are out of contacts, they have samples that will save you a few days of Miss Four-Eyes while you wait until your order comes in. It does get quite busy here on weekends, but no worry, just pop into Lido a few doors down and indulge yourself in a warm egg tart or freshly baked pineapple bun while you wait. Horrible customer service. Ordered a pair of sunglasses in December, they said it would take 2-3 weeks for the glasses to arrive. 1 month goes by, didn't receive any calls. I called in to get an update and they said my glasses are on back order so it'll take another 2-3 weeks. Ok so I wait. Again, 3 weeks went by, no calls. I called in again and a lady picked up. This was at 6pm, on their website it says they close at 7pm. A lady rudely picks up and the first thing she says is "we're closing". I said I just want to know the status of my glasses. She checks and says it'll take 1-2 months because the sunglasses I ordered is on back order. WTF?!? So she gave me an option to either wait or pick another pair. At this point I was pretty fed up, I went into the store and ended up buying the one on display since I liked that pair so much. They ended up only giving me $40 discount, worst thing was that they didn't even apologize and I could've just got that one back in December if they told me it was on backorder then! Horrible service, would never buy from them again. read more

My mom and I love this eyeglass store. Ask for Sunny, he is always great and super helpful! The store carries the best selection of eye glass frames and sunglasses. Because we come from Victoria, he always makes sure to get the glasses finished and ready as quick as possible so we can bring them back with us! This place is very popular and Vicky or Virginia (I forgot the name) offers good opinions, though I've had only moderate good service from other staff so I'd say it's a hit and miss. One person even tried adjusting my frame without heating it....wouldn't that stress the plastic / metal causing premature breakage? My frame just wasn't sitting properly and I brought it in a shop nearby my apartment and the tech said my frame wasn't adjusted at all. After the tech was done I could see what she was talking about. read more

Excellent prices for brand name frames and lenses. This store is extremely popular with the fashion conscious crowd as the carry the latest and greatest designer eyewear of prescription frames and sunglasses. They carry advanced super thin high index lenses which isn't found at Lenscrafters or elsewhere. I recommend arriving early because when this place gets crowded, you'll have to wait a while until someone will give you service. read more

Really great service!! Staff are friendly and helpful. The store manager is great as well. He can help with any questions you may have. He even fixed my glasses for me on the spot when I came in. They have a great selection of frames. Whenever I need new glasses, I come here because I know I have many options to choose from. The parking lot is terrible as there are not enough spaces for all the businesses in the strip mall. You can find paid street parking across the street though. I have been coming to the Optical Center since 2004. Although they are always busy (which isn't a surprise - they are pretty awesome), they have a wide selection, great service and the best price. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. They take their time to help you find the type of eye-wear that best suits you (sunglasses, glasses, contact lenses, you name it, they have it!) So far, the best prices I have seen. The customer service is pretty good. Although try to come on a weekday because the weekends tend to be extremely busy with long wait times. The selection is large and they can order items in as well. Parking is also very limited. The lens alone is better prices than the quote I received at the office of my Optometrist. read more
