I have been going there for 4 years for my daughter and they have been nothing but outstanding from a service perspective. Rachel and Sheena have always been so kind and helpful! I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Sheena is incredibly knowledgeable about lenses for problematic eyes such as migraines, photosensitivity, visual snow, and migraines. Her team was also very kind and helpful. Sheena took the time to make sure I got the best options available and kept me informed of the process as she checked on the availability of possible lens options and custom tinting, She even brought in samples to make sure we got the right tint. The selection of eyeglass frames at Roberts and Brown is fabulous in terms of fashion, functional designs for special eye problems, and frames for small faces. I feel lucky to have found them as my specialty optometrist had retired. Thank you Sheena! read more

My 16months old son needed a pair of glasses and this place came recommended from his opthamologist. They have kids' frames that are not too expensive and lots of choices to choose from. The service is also great and I have been back few times to replace the nose pads as my little one has a tendency to chew them off and they have been great about replacing the notepads and understands that this happens with kids. I will definitely be coming back to get his next glasses here. read more

My husband and I have been going here for over 10 years with ourselves and our three kids. We were referred to this store as we were told they had a good selection of kids frames. They used to be very good, run by a nice old English man who would always help us as best he could with warranties as our children can be very rough when they play. The staff used to be very friendly , but now they are very pushy and dismissive. The past few years this place has changed. I think he sold the place because now as we walk in the door now, we are treated like money as opposed to before, leaving and feeling like valued customers. Their frames are extremely overpriced, and their warrenties don't ever seem to cover our problems. Instead they'll charge all sorts of hidden fees. Go somewhere else that's going to honour their warrenty. We have spent over $2000 here this year. We won't be going back. This place just wants your money. read more

Bought a new pair years ago and within a week one of the lenses fell out and cracked on the floor. The lens was improperly installed but the owner didn't accept my explanation and said that because I didn't buy insurance they wouldn't offer me a replacement or discount. I haven't gone back for a new pair a couple of years ago and now need another pair. I don't plan to return now either. read more

I have been coming here for years and usually we receive excellent customer service and quality. The last few times, I am unsure what has changed. Although there are some new workers, they have actually been great. But the previous staff who went above and beyond before seem impatient now and not the above and beyond service we are used to. The glasses are not cheap and we always get back up. Something as simple as offering a free spray cleaner with a $400 glasses purchase is no longer compared to previous years where nose pads, sprays, and machine cleanse while there were always offered. Their location is convenient near the hospital and the complex is big with ample parking but avoid after school times. We have referred many people here boasting their care for clients, but I might refrain from referring anyone else for now. read more

Definitely the place to go for children's glasses. We tried a few other places just to see, and most optometrists only have 3 or 4 choices - this place has a whole back wall full. The staff are patient and understanding of wiggly, impatient small people. Try to go on a weekday morning if you can - it can be a zoo on a Saturday morning or directly after school. read more

I have been a customer for years and have turned many friends on to them! Always been very helpful but not today! An older woman that I've never seen before helped me. She seemed a bit off and not as friendly as the people I've seen before. I had broken my Tom Ford frames and asked if my lenses could be put into an old frame. No problem! After I left I noticed a chip on the edge of the lense. I came back and showed her. Nope , that's the way I brought them in. She turned away and that was it! She should not be dealing with the public if this is how she does it! Will Not go back! Horrible people skills!! read more

I went into this store after being to every other shop that advertised having a selection of children's eyewear. I will tell you Roberts and Brown have more selection than any 2 stores combined. Not only that, but the staff showed a level of patience and care with my special needs son, that truly warmed my heart. I have never left an online review before but the girls there deserve to be recognized. Thank you read more

The frames selection is solid. Trendy and up to date. Honestly, I'm not sure how to rate for lenses and pricing. I don't know who to believe in terms of what I'm getting. e.g. anti-reflective this and that done with this and that technology. They are not the cheapest, but they are not the most expensive. I got my glasses done in 3 business days, and I like them. read more

The staff are very rude! Have been coming here for years and the last couple times have not been great, feel rushed and just not a nice environment. We ended up asking for a refund and how we got to this point was very sad, they lack customer service in how they deal with people. Will not ever recommend people coming here, I used to think that the price was high but they were great, not any more they are expensive and just plain rude! read more

Widest collection in BC for kids. Quality is not comparable with other stores. Professional service.

Our #1 choice for our child's glasses despite being far from our home. The selection of in stock frames available for children cannot be beat and the knowledgable staff were once again able to perfectly fit my child's frames. They will finish the lenses and then ship the finished glasses to our home 600 miles away. Third set of eyewear that our child has received from this business and not a complaint. read more

I am signing up for Yelp just to say how much I love this optician! My 15 mo old has been wearing glasses for two months, and I picked Roberts and Brown due to their recommendation from BC Children's. I picked out some basic frames with the best warranty and lens package they had, including Transitions lenses; altogether it came to about $300. The staff here are so professional and friendly about doing repairs. In two months I have come in three times for adjustments, and once for a major repair when I stepped on her glasses after she dropped them from the high chair and I didn't notice. They replaced the broken part quickly and cheerfully. I've got to go in again tomorrow and get them to fix the glasses due to a mishap today at the park. As you can see, toddlers mess up their glasses so frequently that you really need someone who will stand behind their warranty and help keep those glasses on that cute little face, and Roberts and Brown have definitely done that! They have all my future business for sure! read more

We have been going here for many years from when my son was 7 (he's 14) and now 3 years fro my daughter (who's 7). Why? They pass their cards to the ophthalmologist who in turn passed it to me. Now, why am I writing this negative review? This week we went in to get new glasses and patches for my daughter. Sheena, picks out a piar of glasses for my daughter with ZERO regard for what my daughter is interested in. She did not ask her, she did not ask me. I asked her why she was picking these and she said they are flexible, but we could pick if we wanted to in a condescending tone. They are selling ortopad patches for $55 a box. I was shocked at the price. Went home and saw that you can get ortopad patches for $27.95 from Amazon.ca. Albeit they dont have glitter, but who cares at half the price. Anyway I called the store and asked for an adjustment or a refund. They said they would take it if the box was sealed. I look at the box and it is not sealed. So I tell them and they say that they 100% did not sell me a box that was open. Who opened them then? I did not. So they are calling me a liar. I never met anyone who acted more unprofessionally and matter of fact. I come to find out that Sheena is the manager and owner. She didn't care at all to keep a longtime customer and make any of it right, So I look into Lensecrafters and I can get a pair of glasses for $80. 1/2 the cost of this place. Is the uppity nature of this place worth a 100% markup? Not for me. read more

We've been using Roberts & Brown Opticians since 2009, they've always been great until now. I was quoted a price for an eye glass/sunglass box ($150). They only had the box in white, so I asked them to order a different color for me. When they called me back regarding my order, they wanted $250 instead of the $150 I was quoted. The person I spoke to said that I was misquoted. I informed her that there were multiple sales people (3 to be exact) that all quoted me the same price. They even looked it up on their computer to ensure they were quoting me the correct price. I then asked if she was willing to sell me the white color one that was quoted to be $150, and she said no, that it would be $250. How can a business quote someone a price, and then ask for $100 more??!! Needless to say, they've lost my business. read more

I found them great for kids glasses. They told me they would replace them even if my child threw them out the window. Well, one day he actually thew his glasses out our van window. I brought a mangled pair back in and they replaced them free of charge. Please check to see if warranty is the same as this was a while ago. You need a real good warranty with kids glasses...believe me! read more

My wife went to these people and ended up at home in tears after the owner laughed in her face. She went in to inquire about the possibility of having her prescription reading glasses changed from one level of magnification to another. I believe the issue surfaced when she mentioned she was currently not working and therefore did not have a lot of money to spend. Instead of addressing the issue the owner tried to sell her a new pair of glasses at a price completely out of her range. When she tried to get him to simply alter the prescription he laughed in her face...twice. All in all a terrible example of customer service. BTW my wife's family owned and operated a successful family business in South Granville for over 70 years and to my knowledge no customer ever went home in tears. As a result she felt humiliated and diminished. read more

I would give one star just for the store do carry nice frames. However, do not expect any good service in this store. I've visited this store couple times myself. The first time I saw a pair of glasses that is on sale and was thinking about that pair. You can totally tell the sales there are just looking down at you to buy a pair that is on sale. At the end, because of my son really love one pair, I still bought it there. After couple months, I bought my son back to the eye doctor (Meagan Reeze office), I asked if it is useful to have those hook on the glasses. The eye doctor told me I could consider something like a triangle where it will stop it from slipping down rather than having those hook. I came back to this Roberts and Brown store again. Asking for adjustment to the glasses. She bought it in, without even looking how lose is the glasses on my son. Just got the glasses, tighten few things, then give it back to us. Then I asked her about the triangle things that can go onto the glasses. The lady answer me "I rarely seen those things. Maybe people from China would have it." OK, I'm a Chinese but do people actually say things like this?? Especially I'm a customer??? This is a really bad service store. I read the review from Steve B. and I do feel sorry for his wife because you can clearly tell this store is run by some very rude people. read more

i have been taking my kids here for EXACTLY 8 years since they were 2 and 3 years old- this is THE ONLY PLACE you want to buy your glasses from if your children are this young and needing glasses- these people are the best hands down- firstly, they have a huge selection of frames in every size, colour etc, but what makes this the place to go is: THEIR KNOWLEDGE!!! and THEIR EXPERTISE!!! -they look at your child's prescription and say "okay, because of this prescription, your child would do best with a lens that is wider, taller etc-" -as well, they look at your child and say "this frame is too big, too small, just right"- and they think of everything, such as putting the rubberized ends on the arms of the glasses, so they STAY ON your child and they do not lose them- and the QUALITY of the lens and frame are not found ANYWHERE else- trust me on this!!!! as well, if your child smashes them, loses them, scratches them, THEY REPLACE THEM!!!! how can you possibly beat that??? hello??? we live in west vancouver and have driven to this place for years- out of laziness to not want to drive all the way to kind edward, i defected and tried lens crafters near our house once: STUPID idea! they broke in less than a month, went back in and was told TOO BAD, have to buy a new pair!! Well guess what, off to roberts and brown i went with my tail between my legs- lol- Another idiotic time in the last 8 years I went to another place in Park Royal thinking I'd save a drive, they were soooooo dense about children's eye glasses and had no sense whatsoever and made all sorts of foolish suggestions that i just politely pretended my daughter and i had to rush off to an appointment and drove STRAIGHT to roberts and brown- don't waste your time people- just go there! read more
