Their warranty was 1year and they fixed it for 'half' the regular price $350+ (later I found. their 'half price' was the full price at other stores & the warranties where 2yrs) Well it happen again, after 2-3yrs the film start peeling off again and eyedol wants me to pay the 'half price' again. when I got the glasses inspected at other stores, they can only speculate the wrong materials were used Hard to think to deal with them again. I took them back to the store, not expecting them to be able to be repaired, or at least, to be expensive to repair. The store owner asked if I would mind waiting a couple of minutes, he took them out the back and not only repaired them but polished the lenses and tightened the not bent side. When I asked the cost, he said 'nothing'. What a wonderful experience!!!! These days, 4th Avenue has a number of glasses stores with all your typical custom styles but if you want real style and real service, Spectus is the place to go.

They act dismissively, as if they're doing you a favor by helping you, and their attitude completely changes the energy of your visit--even if you walk in with a positive attitude and respectful tone. It honestly feels like dealing with mean high school girls. As someone who works in customer service, I can't understand how people with such poor attitudes get hired to deal with clients. It's incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I truly hope I can find another place to go, because this has become the best place to be treated the worst.

I have…read moreSilhouette frames and after my eye exam, I ordered 4 sets of lenses for 4 frames. initially I ordered one pair, and before knowing that I was going to order add lenses, the optician who was dealing with me, told me that my newer frame wasn't good enough to use again. That was my cue to take my business elsewhere...but I didn't. Interestingly, when I ordered additional lenses and spending a lot more, those frames became usable again. I spent $3,300. on 4 sets of lenses. I'm happy with 1 pair, which thankfully are my daily glasses and the only pair that I ordered that had no changes to the shape or colour. The only pair that was exactly what I ordered. One out of four. I wanted an orange tint, but I got rose tinted instead. I ordered plain rectangle reading glasses, but got designer lenses and paid $300. more than I was quoted. I still don't know why! I asked the optician for a breakdown of my readers, I wanted to know why they cost that much more. I received an email with the invoices for my glasses with no explanation. I then asked the supervisor the same. I received more questions from her. I still have no idea why I paid $300. more for designer readers that I didn't order and don't like! But because they are readers that I grossly overpaid for, I'm leaving them as is. The rose tinted lenses and the sunglasses are not what I wanted and so I'll be spending another $2000. maybe less because this place is pricey, somewhere else to get what i want. No accountability, poor communication, pricey. They've lost 30+ years of my business and I can't in good conscience recommend spending your hard earned money here.

They were so fast and efficient with their glasses recommendations and the eye check up- because I chose a sturdier plastic style that was comfortable and non-name brand, they were able to furnish me with two pairs of glasses, and my family member who came in with me got a pair too. Anthea and her colleague/partner checked on our benefits and were able to find the most cost-effective payment plan as well. I walked out surprised that they could make everything on the same day as I came in, and so we went to have dinner in the mall to wait. They texted me halfway through saying they were ready, and surprised me yet again when I came back to pick them up, saying that our insurance allowed us to get everything for free. On top of the two frames I ordered (one with transition lenses and one blue light blocking as I am a frequent biker and also a student) they sent me home with promotional contact lenses, as I mentioned I use those infrequently.
