The receptionist or front lady at the eye exam desk there is NASTY. passive aggressive. I went there today because I received a letter telling me my son's prescription expires in 42 today'. I went to get him an eye exam. And obviously new glasses. She told me she didn't understand what I wanted or why I was showing her the letter. She told me they don't take my child's prescription informing the eye exam was 100 dollars. Didn't even ask to see if I would still like to be serviced. Just assumed I couldn't afford it. Suggested another optical for kids at the near mall. Clearly she didn't want the business.. super rude. Please don't go here one persons attitude at a business establishment can differ. read more

I waited 40 minutes for a 10:00 AM eye exam, and when I asked why I had to wait so long, I was told they book many appointments AT THE SAME TIME. They lost my glasses and wouldn't tell me anything until I demanded compensation. I have been wearing glasses for 25 years. The frames their lab "damaged" were almost 15 yr old Persols. I have been a very loyal LensCrafters customer since 2001, getting frames or lenses every few years and this experience alone has put me off them for life. I will never be shopping at any LensCrafters every again due to the way this location mishandled my property and then miscommunicated their error until pressed. read more

Glasses and RX were horrible. Pupilary distance was completely off and glass RX was way off. Staff refused to provide me with my RX and pupilary info. Had to call corporate for assistance, store continued to refuse to give me my own medical eye info. I struggled for the past year to focus clearly, I thought it was my eyes. Just got a new pair from Costco, it wasn't my eyes, it was Lenscrafters crappy glasses. Just because you pay twice the price at Lenscrafters doesn't mean you're getting better quality. read more

The employees and doctors who work here are amazing but the last few times we came here by appointments (always), we have to wait a couple of hours to be seen. It was never like this before, if we made an appointment we would be seen right away or just a few minutes. But I noticed there's a sign that says 'Walk-ins Welcome. So I'm guessing if my appointment is for 5pm, and I arrive at 5pm but if people walked in before 5pm, or right before I come they will take them first. This is not a good business practice. I think I will just go back my regular place for eye exams as they always go by appointments first and foremost. I do prefer Lens Crafters because they do the most comprehensive eye exams but we really don't have the time to wait an hour and a half to two hours. read more

Minal and the Dr Silverman were really amazing help when I stopped in to get an eye exa and new glasses. I brought my insurance paper and they had their own little grid that I was able to match up with my benefits. They were super patient with me from the beginning to the end. I really enjoyed my first visit and left with the coolest frames they had how funny. read more

The staff here is so unprofessional and should not be working in customer service. I had questions about my contact prescription so I can try to order them myself since they wanted to outrageously charge me over $300. The girl kept saying we are busy, call us another time to order them...?! I am a paying customer, why do I have to call to order contacts if I AM RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU?! I understand that you are busy but I should be treated as a paying customer and given the attention everyone else is getting. Anyways, after looking up my contacts MYSELF on a website that was literally charging me half the love they were, the website had the prescription fields abbreviated which I just quickly asked her to explain it so I can order my contacts MYSELF. Everything I asked her, she just kept replying "I don't know. I don't know". WHY DO YOU WORK HERE THEN? The doctor is great! Very attentive and answers all questions regarding whatever concerns you have. Which is why this place gets two stars. Otherwise, 0 stars. read more

I came here for my eye exam purchase glasses. I selected Lens Crafters because I previously used them in Chesapeake, VA where they are super friendly and helpful. Well, this location disappointed me (unfortunately). ONE: They receptionists were discussing company issues that they are dissatisfied with and the fact that they are unhappy with certain supervisors (in detail and I will not repeat). Believe me, I understand not being happy with a job. But, discussing it in front of clients is not acceptable. TWO: The individuals on the sales floor were nice (the Saturday that I visited). They get 4 stars!! Hopefully I'll find out there names and edit this review. But, when I returned to pick up my glasses, the individuals that were there (different ones)...were unfriendly, nonchalant and seemed bothered. THREE: Went back today for service (giving them another try)...I'm done. Only one individual was kind and spoke. The other two...not interested in helping me. read more

This lady there claims she called me and talked to me about my contacts when i clearly told her no one has called me. I'm always calling that location and checking up on my order. First I like to say that I was reluctant to try on the frames on display because of covid, but decided to try one on and wash my face when I get home. I was trying out one of the frames, as I was placing it back on display one of the staff, I think she's the manager because it seems that she's the only one who knows their own policy, started to lecture me with a rude and condescending tone about not placing it back on the display since it has to be sanitized before being placed back on the display stand, she ended her statement by saying "didn't they tell you about that?" I immediately told her "NO, NOBODY TOLD ME!" I really didn't appreciate her talking down to me like I'm a 3rd grader when I'm pretty sure I'm old enough to be her father. I told her that they should have signs saying so about their policies. She told me that she'll inform her staff about reminding the customers. It's obvious that her own staff didn't know or didn't care to say anything to me about it, there was a young lady and a gentleman working at the time. Their approach should be to instruct their staff to tell their customers about procedures as they walk in and also have signs about not placing the frames back on display. Very rude and unprofessional! I've been a past customer for years, but definitely won't be getting my business after this, thanks to her unprofessional way of talking down to customers. My son (who's an adult) was there before me also selecting frames, I ask him if the staff had instructed him about their policies and procedure, he told me they didn't, he said he tried on multiple frames and placed it back on the display and nobody said anything. There's nothing wrong with their policies, but definitely failed in the execution! A better approach would have been to tell the customer: "Excuse me, for everyone's protection, as a reminder, after trying on the frames, please place it on the counter so we can clean it before we place it back on display". Or put up a sign saying so! Thanks to your rudeness, you will not be getting any business from me or my family. read more

I'm doing a update on this review I just want to let everyone know I've been coming to lens crafters religiously. Since early 2000 now I've always taken advantage of there warranties. This time I finally came around a yr replaced my lens, but when they toon my glasses the scratched it. At the time I thought it was scratch by the ray ban signature. Three months later it was crack !!! Apparently they cracked my glasses while it was being adjusted. The Manager Branden Mendez has this attitude as sales man with no care. Still telling me I have to pay for it, I would understand if something I did. But it's a damage that was done with the LensCrafters employees. I have dish out more money. The reasonable thing would be accommodating the warranties price the most. Not a whole new glasses n lens price. I'm very disappointed in LensCrafters never will trust my best judgement believing they wouldn't do that to my glasses In the end the Manager is acting as though I'm a liar. The rule of customer right is often true. Not everyone's dishonest. Feel as though this Manager comes off bias And doesn't care. Update 6/2/17 I only given it a 2 because I've been w them for so long and this not the first time they've made a mistake and I've come a few months later. They have grazed my lenses with the heat several times and I had to let them know of The mistake, this not something I caught in from early I have to wear them while to see the issues that they caused. I get no one wants to be wrong or look wrong, however they wrong. I've been coming here for yeeeeears I probably know more faces of the employees that comes and goes. I do go when they have have there promotional sales going on. The customer service is good. They are honest when you asked their opinions on what particular glasses lol better. They have an iPad you can take pictures on. They accept most insurance, the pricing range is not moderate. It's really $$$ because it's glasses so your paying for frames and lenses. I have to get those really thin, coated I like ray bans however I'm open to others. But they have a lot names brands to choose from, and any type of lenses needed. It's best to have insurance so it won't be so pricey. But hey you do what you have to for something that's sitting on your face for most of the time. They also do special lenses tinted, extra thin, scratch resistant etc. I've recommended friends and family to go they aren't disappointed. Do check them out. read more

last year i went to Cohen's in Roosevelt Field Mall - (even tho I've been going to Lenscrafters in Valley Stream and Roosevelt Field - for years) and it was horrible. well now i went back to Lenscrafters VS and so happy i did! Cohen's was awful - upsold me on Progressives that i didn't need ( and then would not let me return) and also gave me no insurance discount. at Lenscrafters, they gave me a discount from my Aetna and made choosing glasses a pleasure. nice selection of frames, and friendly staff! read more

This is the worst store and let me say the most corrupt organization- in addition the staff here is racist, ill mannered and never been trained on customer service. They give you the highest price and when you reject the quote, apply "coupons" per their discretion to bring it down. I walk in to get lenses on an existing frame. The Hispanic/Asian looking man is extremely rude. First gives me a quote for "urgent" - a ridiculous price like 450 - just for lenses not the frame. When I ask for regular timeline, he says "maybe two weeks, maybe ten days .... I dunno". It's your JOB to know - which you clearly suck at. He then picks, chooses and throws random quotes at me -not interested in helping me or making a sale. Super frustrated and confused, I eventually walked out - without ordering anything. Lenscrafters wants $380.00 with eyemed insurance. I checked Rayban.com for the same frames and prescription lens and it is only $186.00 with eyemed insurance. Ordered,submitted my prescription, and received after 4 days. Just please check somewhere else before buying in lenscrafters. read more

Got my glasses there last year and the service was great. Went to set up my annual exam and was told that new prescriptions now take 7-14 days. They are no longer done at this location. That means I'm without glasses for that time. Was also advised that the frames I try on are not the ones I will get. Was also advised that if the prescriptions are off or the frames don't fit the process starts all over again. Lenscrafters is more expensive than other eyeglass providers and now are the least patient friendly. How they can stay in business using this model is beyond me. read more

for years i was using lens crafters for the convenience of getting glasses done in about 2 days , the sales people there are horrible frame pushers they try to write you up as quick as possible leaving out important details and price points ! they will not give you discounts unless you ask for them and for that reason i have walked out of the store a few times not closing the deal ! the doctors they had there was fantastic but she has retired and moved away ( according to the office staff) the new set of doctors i guess are ok but the counter staff SUCKS very rude and condescending with that being said me , my daughter and wife will not ever use this company again ! read more

I went into this LensCrafters this morning looking for a new frame. The gentleman was very good and did try to help me. I was looking for Titanium frames as these hold up very well. Another optician, Veronica helped to pick out some frames also, and when I told her that I really didn't like the frames, she told me that "the frames your are wearing are not flattering". I told her that I like them, and she said "that's because you are used to them". I found it appalling and very unprofessional of her to outright insult a customer, especially since the frames that she picked out were of very poor quality. It appeared to me that the only thing she was interested in was making a sale. I would not recommend this LensCrafters location. read more

Sharing patient Doctor information is unprofessional and crass so for this reason I would not recommend this location. Luckily Samantha was a beautiful and sweet help and I'm thankful for her presence in a sea full of ignorance. I was coming here for years . They were very good and knowledgeable . Went last week and will not be returning and actually will be making a formal complaint . Got fitted for new glasses . She didn't even sit me down to see how or where my glasses should fit for my prescription glasses . Left me standing at the front to take pictures for my lens which she wasn't able to do. Instead of sitting me down at a table she leaves me there to have someone else take the picture for my progressive lens . Speaking to her and telling her I was not paying more then $480 dollars she said oh ok I will remove part of your prescription to make it cheaper for you. I said really .
