Scheduled a real last minute appointment 1 AM on Sunday because I was paranoid about the redness in my eye. A little after 8 (the same day) he called me to confirm I was really coming to my 9:00 appointment because I scheduled it at an obscure time. When I got there before my 9:00 appointment he welcomed me in and gave me a thorough examination. He explained everything that he did when examining my eyes. Not very happy with the services...he is VERY friendly and accommodating when it comes to timings that is why I am giving two stars, but I would prefer someone who has written price lists or price tags on frames and proper invoices provided during visits (not just writing random numbers on a computer paper and circling a total). Just not my cup of tea....I like to know that the services my insurance companies are paying for have been provided properly, therefore I will be going to another OD in the future. read more

Dr. Weinberger is an absolute gem! When my glasses broke, he was the only person who was willing to accommodate me even though he was near closing. His glasses selection is great! He even carries vintage frames. He is very personable and he does not take patients/customers for granted; he actually appears to want my business unlike other places that will make you wait forever just to rush you out. I called early this morning asking for an appointment some time before the end of the year. Dr. Weinberger was able to fit me in right away, and I saw him later this morning. His office is in his home in a residential neighborhood- so parking is a breeze. Dr. Weinberger is very courteous and respectful. He even asked permission before touching my forehead to give me my eye exam. I really appreciate that level of awareness for consent from a doctor. I saw him for a contact lens fitting and new glasses. He has so many frames, but I have already picked out a pair from another company that I fell in love with. I was a little worried about feeling pressured to buy something from him, but no worries. Dr. Weinberger was completely understanding and encouraged me to buy the frames I already love. I'm going to bring them back to him to put lenses in because he was so trustworthy and earnest. He also fit me in contacts that are more comfortable and cheaper than the ones I've been wearing for the past four years. I highly recommend him. read more

I got called for an earlier appointment time. When I arrived, I waited less than 5 minutes before he called me in. The eye exam was quick and after I selected my frames I was done. Before I got there I had the option to fill out forms online which greatly sped up the process. Overall it was the quickest and easiest appointment I've ever had. read more

I have been wearing glasses since 3rd grade and have been wearing contacts for about 10 years now. I went to Dr. W because i was looking to get an eye exam for my husband and myself that day. I called a few minutes earlier and he said we could come in. We went in and welcomed us warmly. For some reason,he misunderstood me and began to test my eye sight for contacts (lens fitting) instead of glasses. I ended up paying over a hundred dollars for the lens fitting. He repeatedly insisted that he is charging me HALF of his fee where as every place i have previously been to, always charged around the same ball park (which i paid as half his fee). But then again i thank him for his time and consideration. I got my contact lens prescription as well as glasses for my husband and myself. At the end when i went to pick up our glasses, he told me that since my eyesight is really bad, he got me the thinner lenses in the frame as to which i had previously insisted that i would not like to spend a dollar extra other than whats covered by my insurance. So i paid an EXTRA 35 dollars for what i did not even ask for. Overall, i think he is an awesome doctor but only for the people who don't mind spending a BIT more than planned. He is very caring. pros: he is very accommodating , nice and thorough. He had my glasses ready in 2 days !!! - that was AWESOME!! Since the contacts that he gave me as a sample were not comfortable, he offered to give me a prescription so that i could continue to order my lenses online. He is also going to get me some other samples. Cons: Very expensive frames. I feel the frame i got was over priced. We went in thinking we would ONLY Pay the copays and a lil more which would've been under a hundred dollars but ended up paying around $300. read more

He was a wonderful doctor! I have been to so many horrible eye doctors in the past who are only looking to take your money, but Dr. Weinberger is such a genuine, caring individual who is really out to help his patients. The office was located in his home so its a bit small but very high tech and clean. Absolutely 0 wait time the two times I went to visit him! And I even booked my appointment the day of with ease. His office hours accommodate a busy, working individual such as myself. He knows what he's talking about and answered any question I had with expertise. I told him my budget after the eye exam, and he made sure to steer me away from any frames that were out of my price range. He has such a laid back, fun personality and I actually had a great time picking out my new frames! The only reason I didn't give him 5 stars was due to the fact that he told me he was giving me a highly discounted price for everything, and when I went home to do my research it seemed to me that he was fronting a lot on the real price of the frames and contact lens fitting, to compensate for the "deals" he gave me on the anti-reflective glare and lens fitting. Overall he didn't technically over-charge me for his services, but his tactics to lure me in to buy these products from him were very clever. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new eye doctor. read more

This is the worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. You call him, he claims to have ran your insurance over the phone, insists on your social security number, etc so apparently everything will be ready when you come in for your appointment. His office is located in his house (but get this, there is NO one else in sight except him). He leads you to a back, dark room. He does the eye exam and is creepily stating that I have pretty eyes and not to worry that he is leaning close because it's only for the purpose of the exam. He does this several times. He claims everything is covered by the insurance (which it is NOT). He then tries his hardest to make you buy glasses and lenses only from him...in fact, he makes it so uncomfortable for the patient to simply ask for an rx to take elsewhere. When the patient does ask, he makes it extremely difficult. Payment with him includes a random receipt printed from a receipt printer with no necessary information. He then practically begs you to write good reviews (and now I know when he has good reviews). I then took his rx to another eye doctor, when she called him to confirm what the rx said (because it was illegible) he went on and on about how I wrote a bad review (which I didn't???) and how reviews are so important. Not only this, I paid him 60$ for lenses but as soon as I left his office, I called and asked to cancel the order and he decided to keep the money and put it towards my office visit. HE IS the one who assured me verbally several times that everything was covered and then admitted to his own mistake. Such bad practice and professionalism. Not to mention how creepy both he and the location of his office in his home is. Avoid. read more
