I came in the day before and got an eye exam. Then I went out and got three quotes on glasses and prescription sun glasses. Sears had a killer quote and wasn't sure if lenscrafters could meet or beat it. So after the negotiation with the initial associate I moved up to the manager Jennifer to begin the negotiation dance. I explained to her that I was a 15 year customer and would really like to keep my business with them. I'm very picky about my lenses. I like verrilux and they have a larger progressive window with better side vision. Lendcrafters was $200 higher....than Sears. They met the price and I now have my new glasses and prescription sun glasses! The facility is clean and bright with lots of frames to chose from. Customer service has always been great! read more

I had an appointment on July 12th to get a new pair of glasses. I have SCAN Healthcare. My co-pays are $10.00 for the exam and $10.00 for the lenses. They pay 100% for frames under $135.00. I told 3 people that if my insurance doesn't pay for it %100 I don't want it. I found frames for $109.00 for they were free. When it came time to place my order they said I should pay $135.00 instead of $20.00. They couldn't explain to me what the extra $15.00. The paper showing me my benefits SAYS I owe $20.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! On top of that, my vision is still blurry in my right eye! They said "you'll get used to it"!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me start by saying that I have been a LensCrafters customer for 20 years. Through those years, there have been some issues with glasses, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with and fixed. I order a new pair for myself every 1-2 years as well as bring in family members and my best friend for their eyeglasses and contact lenses. This location has terrible reviews on line. In fact, Macy's (next to them at the mall), recently opened up a LensCrafters within their store so maybe this location will be closing...not sure. With this, I stuck with LensCrafters. Maybe not always this location, but always LensCrafters. I ordered my newest Rx at LensCrafters late October. During this pandemic, their 1 hr lab is closed. A lot of why I go to LensCrafters is for the 1 hr lab but I completely understood....NO PROBLEM! There is a 2 week turnaround. I chose a beautiful pair of frames and I was pleased with my order. The glasses arrived and I went to pick them up. They were made incorrectly and the progressive lenses were not made correctly. The glasses were also too big for my face. Very hard to notice this when it's hard to see how they look on your face when your vision is bad. Magnificat mirrors for their customers would be a simple fix. The frames that I chose were also too large for my face..... It would have been nice for the optician to tell me. I ordered my replacement pair of glasses and waited 2 weeks. That pair didn't work either! I was extremely disappointed. The long term employee told me that they are making my eyeglasses per the Rx and my 30 day guarantee is running out. WTF!!!!!!!! The 30 day guarantee is being held up to me during a pandemic when it takes 2 weeks to get the glasses back and they can't make the glasses correctly?!?!?! THIS WAS THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK.....I AM DONE WITH LENSCRAFTERS. I spoke with the manager who patiently listened to me and gave me a full refund. They no longer need to worry about my 30 day guarantee....I'm going to Costco. The manager didn't apologize or offer any remedy. Costco offers veralux lenses and designers frames for hundreds less....with the poor treatment I received at Lencrafters, they lost a 20 year customers as well as my family members and friends. I picked up my Gorgeous Fendi progressives eyeglasses at Costco yesterday and they are PERFECT THE FIRST TIME and I saved hundreds!!!!! Honestly it was hard for me to give a bad review since I've always had a great experience with this company in Mission Valley San Diego. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with this location. My appointment was at 2 and I wasn't taken back until 30 mins later. Once I was taken back the girl who did some test was rushing. She was nice at times but didn't provide great customer service. I also had to tell her to clean the machines I was suppose to put my face on. They were full of makeup from the previous customer. My wife purchased two eye glasses for a very reasonable price. Did not purchase the eye glass warranty policy as she never has any problems with damage or loss. Returned to have one pair adjusted for proper fit. Was informed by rep that she will not be held responsible for damages during adjustment process and that no work can be done unless we agree to hold her free of liability. It's akin to taking car into dealership and they manage to break a component during repair but I must pay for their negligence. I responded I was not informed of this during purchase process and rep asked if I would like to purchase warranty. In essence LensCrafters is forcing you to purchase the warranty as they will not stand by their work--absolute subterfuge. On the positive side the rep was friendly and very knowledgeable. read more

I am very upset with Lenscrafters because they double charged me and the lady in charge a blonde lady would not listen to me. I showing her that I had been charged twice on my account (not pending). She simply said no that she only has one receipt and that it's not actually coming out of my account. I tried to show her proof that it had actually come out twice but she did not care and said We only have one receipt and rudely said that's all she can do. The doctor that performed our eye exam was cordial & she gave satisfactory answers to my questions. Their system was down the day of our eye appointment but we returned a few days later for our fitting. They had our glasses ready within a couple of hours! Dr. Zoecklar was the most thorough optometrist that I've encountered since I've been wearing contacts and glasses. The Dr. went through the contact oxygen content and the quality of rate grading as well as being able to take my clear contact OUT of my eye for me since I couldn't see the clear lenses and was having difficulty. The glasses that I ordered seem to not have proper fitting lenses. One side particularly makes a pop sound while cleaning it as if it's moving or popping in and out of place. The prices of the glasses are also extremely overpriced. I checked the price of the glasses I liked online elsewhere, and I was able to find almost every one for over 100% cheaper. I only ordered because I was about to lose my benefits over the next few days so I chose to use them. Now the associate that attended us was called Karen. She certainly doesn't live up to the name. Karen is a gem. She helped us find glasses within our budget. She also helped me realize that it was time for progressive lenses, which have really been a necessity for a while. She also adjusted, straightened and cleaned the glasses we wore in even though they were not bought there. Now when we returned for the pickup we were pushed around between associates and the one helping was nice but seemed pressed and I felt uncomfortable asking for adjustments after he tried twice with fail. My glasses fall constantly. I appreciate their large selection but really I would only go to try them on and buy the ones I like elsewhere. 3 stars because of Karen, if I were only reviewing her it's be 5+. I've been going to this Lenscrafters for probably eight years. It's a bit pricey, but very convenient and the staff has been good. This time I saw Dr. Brandon Zoeckler who was wonderful! He took the time to explain to me why my vision had changed so much, and didn't pressure me into getting additional tests (which in the past did happen with other doctors). I felt like I got a good, thorough exam, and his chairside manner was great. Now for the scary part...picking out the frames. There were alot of staff members in the store that day, and I could overhear some of their conversations at the front desk, some of which was not very complimentary about other customers. (Take it to the break room, Ladies!) But, I was so fortunate to find Stephanie!! She had helped me pick out some frames before my eye exam, and when I came out from the exam, she greeted me and together we narrowed down the big pile of frames I had collected to two - one for glasses, one for sunglasses. Then, when I came to pick them up, she was there again for me! Thank you, Stephanie! Progressive glasses and sunglasses were ready ahead of schedule (4 days) and all went well. Loss of a star: I would caution anyone who does not have vision insurance (or isn't AAA or AARP member) to be wary of the "specials." I had both a print ad and online printout of an offer for $349, even reading the fine print, I thought I would qualify. But no! no deal for me, for some reason (not stated anywhere) the 3.0 progressives didn't qualify. That should have been in the fine print. Really ticked me off paying for an exam and over $1,000 for two pair of progressive glasses, with all the bells and whistles, that they wouldn't cut me a break for $50 bucks. All in all, a very good experience, but I will shop around for prices before my next exam. read more

Do let me start by saying my daughter got insurance so we didn't know where to go for an appointment but after calling a few places we settled on LensCrafters in the mall. While I was making her appointment, I told them what was up with the insurance and they said they will take care of it when we get there. Ok. So we go this evening for the appointment. They finally get to us and tell us we have to pay for everything upfront and then we put in for reimbursement. Not what I was told on the phone. I wouldn't have wasted my time to go if they would have told me that on the phone. Waste of time for sure! And to top it all off, the first guy we checked in with was super rude. After reading current reviews, I was a bit skeptical about this location. However, in the past, I have had fine experience with Lens Crafters. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly greeted, but a woman at the front desk, with a smile and genuine welcome. I was asked to fill out the required paper work, and then directed toward the various selections of Men's glasses. She made my introduction to this location awesome! After being introduced to my greeter, she took me back and said "Oh, I forgot XYZ" about 3 times. Is this a Doctor's office, I thought? I was then given the different eye tests, by their service person. After the initial eye tests - which I understand are all computerized - I was taken to the Dr. He examined by eyes, then provided a prescription. I took my prescription to the front desk, and was asked to pick out a few glasses. I chose a set of daily glasses and after a back and forth about about my insurance, I decided on a pair. I was initially fitted with a fitting tool. I came back back later to pick up my pair of glasses, and they were the wrong prescription. After waiting for additional 20 minutes, I was told someone "wrote out" the wrong prescription for my glasses. Thank God I was not a patient of some disease, or worse! I then came back THE NEXT DAY, after that initial wrong prescript and waited an additional 30 minutes for the 'greeter' and she couldn't find my glasses. She found them after looking all over and apologizing...for 30+ minutes. The glasses fit partially then but I was assured to "you'll get used to them". I trust their advice. I have my glasses. I was assured, "oh you'll be fine after a few days"...it's been a few days and I fear that the "Opps" is more than that. I will be returning for another exam, as I am NOT seeing clear but cloudy spots...something I was told would NOT happen with my new prescription. I am not happy with this location and I would advise other stay clear. read more

My husband and I came here a few weeks ago and boy what a joke the eye exam was! My husband is still upset that Dr. Wang (pronounced Wong) refused to continue his exam by saying "This is the best I can do" and running out the door. We went to the LensCrafters in Moreno Valley the next day and was taken care of the right way. Dr. Wang is a joke and I hope you get the training you need. We won't ever come here again. Oh and if YOU come here make sure you know your insurance and what it covers. One of the staff kept telling me I would have to pay $200 for what I wanted. I knew it wasn't right since I know my insurance. The next day at Moreno Valley I got what I wanted and didn't pay a dime. I really had a great experience with Jennifer who works in the front. I was told that I needed progressive lenses and was nervous, and she took so much time with me. Really, I can't believe how much time she took with me! She assured me that if I did not like them that I could come back and get my regular lenses. I told her that I was 95 percent sure I'd be coming back to exchange them and she agreed that I probably would, but that there is no harm in trying them. She also was very good about making sure I felt pretty in my glasses. My nose bridge is rather large, so I can only fit a certain type. We discussed our children and I told her about my life so that she could help me decide on the progressives. The doctor who did my exam was not my favorite personality-wise. I will see the other doctor next time. He was sharp as a tack though and knew his stuff, but he was a little intimidating. I didn't quite understand why I was was getting progressives. Jennifer was the one who explained it to me. Guess what? I am gong to exchange the progressives, but I'm totally okay with that. I am not one to leave reviews, good or bad, unless they are really exceptional. When I have a bad experience, I give them at least a 2nd chance If I could leave no stars, I would. I will never go back here. The dr is nice and the selection is what would expect. The rest of the staff is the issue. I have dealt with different people every time, all have been very rude and downright insulting. My first visit was at least 2 years ago, for my husbands exam. I was considering getting one myself, but wanted to see if I liked any glassses, before going through the paperwork. The woman helping (who still works there), pretty much demanded that I do everything before making a selection. Since I didn't want to spend time filling out forms and paying, when I didn't know if I was even going to buy anything, I didn't get the exam and left feeling bullied. My next experience was 2 mo ago, taking my 8 yr old and 5 yr old for an exam for my son. Arriving on time for our appt, we waited an hour. When I finally asked how long, I was told the dr was an hr behind. No apologies, no communication. After another 30 min, we were seen. It would have been nice to know that they were running behind when we checked in, since children that young don't wait well, that long, in a store with nothing to do. Had we known,we would have walked around the mall till we could be seen. My last experience was today. My husband never received a call that his contacts were ready, he had to call himself and was told that not only were they ready, "someone left a vm 2 weeks ago." Ok, maybe it didn't go through, maybe they dialed wrong. I went in, they had to verify the order twice. I asked what # they had on file, confirmed it, and expressed that we never received a call. The woman then said with an attitude that "I am the one who makes the calls, I called and left a vm on the 22nd". When I replied that we hadn't received anything, she just repeated herself rudely, basically saying that we were lying. She never apologised or said maybe she dialed wrong or any other reason, just that she was right and we were wrong. The lack of customer service is apalling, never have I received that from the same place,so many times,with different people every time. Lenscrafter provides all our eye glasses needs. First Dr. Kurt Lundquist is the best, I do not want any doctor but him. Then the 1 hour waiting time to get your new glasses are just so cool. Also I had one time where i really wanted to exchange my new glasses (within 30 days), it was no sweat at all. They helped me find a new pair and waited an hour and gotten it. I really like their lenses quality - it really clear and precise. The guys in the glass lab are awesome..they are so helpful when I need some adjustment on our glasses.
