I have been a patient of C.E.Pro's for a number of years.. I have visited both the Hemet and Temecula offices.. I have had nothing but exceptional service at both locations.. But now, they have out done themselves!! They put Karen AND Robin in the same office. This is an Allstar duo.. The level of confidence I feel when I have an optical need is off the charts... Thank you Robin and Karen for being so knowledgeable, patient and professional.. Simply the Best.. Dave read more

Dr. Richard Burns is the absolute best.. he's a very caring doctor with a great sense of humor.

my gripe is not with Dr. Burns, who knows how to be charming, but with the way his office is run. A consultation with him comes with a warning that it will take 2-3 hours, which is mainly waiting. I waited 4 hours and by then I was so tired I really did not appreciate the snippy, high pressure sales pitch for the most expensive services from the staff or instructions on what to do for surgery that is months away when I won't even remember. My husband had cataract surgery last year for much less than the very high prices charged by Dr. Burns, who is more than willing to charge even more through financing. i am already feeling as though this is just a mill and my eyes are the least important concern. read more

The wait here is awful and staff not very efficient. I was waiting in my car for my wife who had an apt and was waiting for 45 mins. I finally decided to go in and when I attempted to open the doors they were already closed but had not yet even seen my wife. When she was finally seen by the doctor he left her to be given details by the staff. The staff had no clue what to say to her about follow up. Needless to say we will be looking for a new eye doctor. I had made an appointment and canceled it after this mess. read more

Incredibly rude front desk person. I don't think I have ever been treated with such disdain at a medical office. I was there to see the ophthalmologist. The front desk person literally threw my insurance card back at me and said it was a dental card, not a medical card. This was incorrect. After I told her it was the only card I had, she took it back, checked her system, and then said I was not in the medical group system. I told her I would call my insurance. As I was speaking to the insurance representative - who said I was indeed in their system - the front desk person raised her voice, interrupted me, and told me to write down the my 'correct ID number' and to have them send me the right card. I wrote down the number and she ran it through their system. It went through. I checked the number I had written down vs. the number on the card and they were IDENTICAL. Which number had she been trying to process through the system? Who knows? Unfortunately I had to go there due to my insurance. But I would recommend that people try to stay way until they can staff their reception with better employees. It was terrible experience. read more

Dr. Burns is amazing. He did my cataract surgery in my right eye (2022) and did it using the technology that allows me to have mono vision, as this is the type of vision I've had for years with my contacts. I currently have to wear only one contact, in my left eye, which wasn't ready for cataract surgery. But between the cataract and the contact I don't have to wear reading glasses. Except in situations where my eyes have been strained all day or my eyes are dry. I do not carry reading glasses anywhere. It's not necessary. I've just made another appointment for a consultation to have my left eye done. I'm so excited to have Dr. Burns as my physician again. read more

UPDATE: I spoke with the Optical manager a couple of times. First thing she said was "you should have called and asked for a manager". Well I would have but no one would get back to me! We actually talked a couple of times but got nowhere but I wanted to run something by her the next day so I called her yesterday and left her TWO voicemails. She never got back to me yesterday or today. So much for asking for a manager. read more

I haven't been here since the beginning of the pandemic but today my son and I both needed to have the nose pads replaced on our glasses. Sonia was happy to help us, exhibiting superb customer service skills-- professional, friendly, and helpful. The other woman there helped me on my previous visit, and she was equally accommodating. So if customer service is as important to you as the doctors, this place is for you. read more

This is a very nice office. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The office has many services such as glasses, lasik as well as eye diagnostic services. I went there for a one year followup on my cataract surgery. They have all the latest technology to examine and explore your eyes with minimal discomfort. This was my first visit to this office and I was very pleased. read more

Very rude front desk and billing department. When I asked fir assistance with error in billing to my insurance, Amanda, through the direction of her supervisor, said basically that it was not their problem. The time had already passed for filing the claim and basically I needed to resolve the insurance billing directly. No professional help at all. And when I went in for service, I was treated with a cold attitude especially when I tried to change an appointment. The girl at the front desk couldn't be more bugged. read more

I feel like I've received the most thorough exam in a long time! Very happy with that and the lense selection is great, as well!

Today was my first visit to see Dr Lee The wait time was very minimal. Dr Lee was very pleasant and personable. He was also very thorough in my exam and medical history as I am a new patient. I have SLE and Sjogrens with a few more issues and need to trust my Dr. I felt in very good hands with Dr Lee and looking forward to him taking good care of me. Also the staff was so patient and kind. It was a pleasure being there. I highly recommend Calif Eye Pros read more

Go ANYWHERE ELSE if you actually want to EVER get your glasses! They said it would take two weeks to get my glasses, which already was too long, but whatever. That was SIX WEEKS AGO, still no glasses! Everytime I finally get someone on the phone (no easy task, btw) they say "tomorrow". But then they push it back again. The office manager Katy spoke to me one time and promised I'd get them in two business days. That was a week and a half ago. She won't return my calls now. They refuse to offer any discount or any compensation for me. I brought them my own frames so I've been out my existing glasses for SIX WEEKS now with no end in sight. Do not do business with these people, they don't care about you. read more

My name is John Dugan and I have been wearing glasses since I was in the 7th grade. In the subsequent 55 years I have never had a worse experience purchasing glasses than I recently had with California Eye Pros. My exam had to be made twice and both times my prescription was incorrect. It actually took 3 months to get a pair of single vision glasses delivered to me and the prescription is still incorrect. The tech who serviced me apologized but stated that there was no remedy for me, and I would have to live with the glasses. In addition, I was informed that no refund would be made available to me. Over the years I've purchased glasses from LensCrafters, Americas Best, Visionworks and several others. California Eye pros are the worst I've ever encountered!! I hope my experience was an outlier, but I will never allow this group to treat my vision needs again!! read more

I saw Dr. Lee today about a cataract surgery that I had done elsewhere. I have seen a few Ophthalmologists and I love this doctor; I have the most respect for him. He is patient, clear in his explanation and speaks with a kind manor. He's not rushed or in a hurry to get out of the office. I felt in good hands with his opinion and reconditions. No better doctor in my opinion. read more

This review is only for the Optical department. I received a prescription from one of the doctors here. I then was directed to the Optical Department. They were busy but I was happy with the person I worked with, Karen, to select my frames and the type of lenses I wanted. Then crickets. The time for the glasses to be available passed. I heard nothing. I called for an update. "They should be in next week". No, they weren't. I called two more times today. "They are busy with patients". Left a message. No call back yet. I am extremely dissatisfied. You might be too. I finally talked to Katy, the office manager, who managed to get ahold of one of the opticians, Sonia, who checked on the specific status of my order per a computer system and then volunteered to call the lab to check on the actual status while I held on the phone. Sonia came back and said that the glasses would be in on Tuesday after "edging" or at the latest on Wednesday and that Karen (remember her from the first paragraph?) would call me when they came in. Sonia was very helpful - thank you, Sonia. We'll see. Also, it is not possible to make an appointment for the Optical Department which may explain the relatively large number of people waiting in the lobby each time I go here. Stay tuned. read more

I recommend you go somewhere else. I went there for an eye infection that was not and has not been correctly treated. I had to change my medical insurance so I can be referred to another ophthalmologist. read more

Dr Ulibarri is an excellent Doctor, but his staff has made errors in my prescriptions required for my Glaccoma! I made several calls to remind them of my required eye drops for my Glaccoma and was told that they would call me back as soon as they talked to my Doctor. I waited three days and no return call. Finally I got a call from the pharmacy notifying me that my prescription was ready. I was out of my daily required eye drops for almost one week! There was no need to contact my Doctor since I've been on the same medication for many years!! read more

I am 75 yrs old n went to c. Dr. Uliberri 2 yrs prior he was very nice. Went last Wed n he talked to me as if I were a child, asked me what I was doing there? What was wrong?Told me I could c 20/20 and nothing had changed. Well if that's the case why can't I c n why do I need glasses to read and use the computer!! I was having problems n thought I needed to consult my eye Dr or I certainly would not hv wasted my time but I know better than to go back there. I am a DV survivor n I don't need to be treated in that manor. I was given an appt to get glasses but after thinking about it I am going to cancel my appt because I won't be back! I guess he doesn't realize he's not the only dr in town! read more

The people at the front desk are friendly and relate well to people of all ages and with various vision challenges. Each time I have been there, including for cataract surgery, the experience has been pain free. I have been going to California eye professionals because of Karen. I don't remember her last name but she is one of the ladies that helps with the fitting of you glasses. She does many other things but she is a genius when it comes to helping me with my glasses. My eyes are extremely sensitive and she has the patience and professionalism to make sure I'm totally satisfied before I leave. I trust her opinion and suggestions. I do want to say that Sonia is also very nice and helpful. Thanks to both of them for making my annual eye glass changes not a nightmare. read more

I have been to the Temecula location for a number of years. Working out of town now, the weekday hours are not the most convenient, so I make an attempt to pickup on Saturdays. Not every Sat is open for business, so I was fortunate to be able to pop in today and pick up my Contact Order. There is one family in the waiting room and 1 lady in the optical section. Great, this will be quick... 10 minutes later, the lady working the dispensary is still counseling the other client on her apparent Macular Degenerative situation and begins working scenarios with her. During a pause, I asked politely if she would be able to pop back there and grab my order (that has been awaiting me since the end of Jan); I'm truly in a bit of a hurry. She invited me to have a seat in the lobby to which she would call on me when she was done playing Optometrist. No thank you. I cannot afford to wait out an additional 15 minutes for you to grab my boxes, in an empty setting. Please just cancel this order and I will go elsewhere; you didn't place the order correctly the first time around. read more

Loved my visit to the Temecula office. The office staff were very friendly and got me in and out pretty quickly. The only thing that took some time was picking out what kind of glasses I wanted! ;) They also even had super awesome packages going on with certain brands being $95 without* the anti-glare thing on the glasses--and $165 for the glasses with* the anti-glare thing. (Sorry, I don't know what else to call it other than "anti-glare thing). The doctor was really patient with me as well and overall, I'm very satisfied with my visit. I look forward to picking up my glasses next week! read more

Dr Uliberri took great care of my daughter after another office, (not affiliated with Cal Eye Pros )did surgery to remove scar tissue and she came out with no vision. Rudest and most disorganized front office staff ever! Spent a whole day waiting for a return phone call- never happened. Happened again when I needed authorization to see a specialist. When I made my appt, I wasn't told my eyes would be dilated and I would need a driver. I was forced to drive on the freeway with dilated pupils aftery appointment, which was terrifying and damgerous! When I called to suggest they alert patients that a driver is necessary, the young man lost his cool and angrily retorted, "I'm telling you now!" That's unacceptable. He missed the point entirely. I was also told my co-pay was $75, when it was only $35. My doctor, on the other hand, was warm and friendly, which didn't correlate with the office staff. At the end of my exam I was told I had dry macular degeneration in one eye and and wet macular degeneration in the other, a scary diagnosis. I was devastated. However, I did receive a referral to a retinal specialist who told me I only had dry macular degeneration in one eye and nothing in the other. read more

OK, so I gave this place a try because I had the absolute WORST customer service when I went to LoBue. I would say that initially I was a little worried. When I booked my appointment, the person I spoke to made me feel like all that they cared about was the bottom line $$$, not me or my concerns. I was called three times prior to my appointment regarding insurance, financial information. That was fine, it was just the approach that needs work. The lady asked if I had insurance and I told her that I did (for the third time). She stated that this was medical and not vision insurance and that I had no materials (glasses) coverage. I told her not to worry about it and that I would pay cash for what I need. Without knowing that I would even need glasses or anything for that matter, these people were constantly worried about my money. With all that said, I was examined by Dr. Wilson. He was kind, patient and to the point. He addressed all of my questions and gave me a thorough exam. I did not necessarily like the outcome, but hey, that is part of the aging process and definitely not his fault. I purchased a pair of glasses and the gal who helped me out was funny, kind and helpful. I spent alot of money, but I needed to. I am supposed to return in a year for an annual exam and will do so without hesitation. An overall great experience after a rocky start. read more

California Eye Professionals Med Grp at 41637 Margarita Road better take a long hard look at the people working their front desk. We are new to Temecula and chose them at random because they were close. The front desk took my wife's information and scheduled an appointment three weeks later. One day before, during confirmation, they told my wife her appointment was at a different time and after looking further onto their screens found that my social security number (required for the insurance) was attached to a different named person at the original time slot. Also overall my wife found one lady not too friendly with a somewhat smug attitude. Totally unacceptable for front desk people. With staff like this, you have to wonder how many customers they've lost over time. we definitely wont go back. Maybe they treated others better than us?? Who knows? read more

First thing to note about Cal Eye Pros of Temecula...they are not cheap. That being said...how many eyes do we have, and can one put a price on being able to see clearly? I think their charges were well worth the service they provided. I am giving them 5 stars for the following reasons: Very professional staff. Everyone I dealt with from the receptionist desk to the MD to the person who fitted my eyeglasses was very professional and very, very helpful...and they sincerely seemed to care about my needs. How odd in this day and age in my opinion. Of note to me was the person who fitted my glasses...Karen. Extremely helpful with my insurance information. Extremely qualified in fitting and choosing my glasses....(in my laymen's opinion)...and just seemed to be a really cool person. I went to them for an eye exam and new glasses. They provided GREAT service with a positive attitude. I think their kind and caring staff makes the difference. All around a great experience. Thanks Cal Eye Pros! James Alley read more

I'd give them minus 5 if I could. Poor scheduling the girl on the phone couldn't even give me the address just told me it was next to Olive Garden. Gave me a time but couldn't e mail me a confirmation so we ended up with a schedule conflict. No reminder phone call previous to the appointment. I recently tried to make an appointment with them because my regular Ophthalmologist retired. The first phone call was answered and and the receptionist immediately placed me on hold for 5+ minutes. I had to listen to their sales and marketing spiel repeatedly for five minutes so I gave up. I called back an hour later and after I told the person I wanted to schedule an exam the receptionist asked me if I wanted glasses. My response was "Maybe after my eyes are evaluated...". Again, I was put on hold for 5+ minutes and gave up. I don't have a good feel for this place so I'm going somewhere else. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Lee's at California Eye Pros for 4-5 years, never had a problem with a technician before this morning! Had an appointment for a VF (Visual Field) & OCT because I have glaucoma. The female technician named Ashley was extremely rude to me, acted super critical, and also in my opinion very unprofessional! She kept stopping and restarting the test, kept repositioning my head, forehead & chin on the machine, and also said the retina in my eye kept going off the fixation light inside the machine! That was the last straw! I said I have had it, I am done and not coming back! I told them I will find another ophthalmologist! When I got home, I called IEHP Member Services, told them what happened, and said I wanted to file a complaint on Ashley at California Eye Pros, they said o.k., and I will receive a letter in about a week stating what action was taken! read more
