He provided all the information I needed and provided honest opinions about style options when it came down to deciding which frames I wanted. We've been getting my husband's glasses here for many years. All the employees are great- helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. But this time we were surprised to find out that his prescription can no longer be made for his sunglasses. Mick really did everything he could. He took the time and checked many different frames, several brands. In the end he is ordering plastic lenses to get us by while we find another store. He also refunded the warranty fee, as it couldn't be properly fulfilled. Mick went above and beyond expectation for customer service and satisfaction. As such, we will continue to use this LensCrafters for the indoor glasses. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at LensCrafters. After I selected my glasses, I asked the employees to look up the cost using my insurance so I could see what my out-of-pocket expense would be. I explained that I have two separate vision insurance plans, both of which LensCrafters accepts, and that I have used both there before without any issues. Even after I explained that, both employees refused to check my insurance or tell me the cost. They kept speaking over me, dismissed my questions, and moved on to help other customers instead. It was rude, frustrating, and very unprofessional. I was simply trying to understand the cost before making a purchase. I will never shop here again, and I will tell everyone I meet to avoid doing business here at all costs. Based on how I was treated, I would not recommend this LensCrafters location. read more

I was extremely sad to see that customer service went down from the previous years. The only real help I received was when I picked up my 3 week order. Went in for bew glasses and loved the new look. The new displays are beautiful, but they're only showing high-end, highly expensive Eyewear . No one, especially the young man, I inquired about on new frames, had never explained where to search for regular priced glasses. No help whatsoever. The representative only asked about my insurance, and that was that. It took approximately 3 weeks to get my glasses, and no one ever reached out when to pick them up. No worries. Had an eye exam in Feb of 2024 at this location and ordered a pair of progressive glasses and prescription progressive sunglasses. I wear glasses all the time so every time I update my Rx, it is very expensive. This was also only the second time getting a progressive, so this was new to me as well. I immediately came back in complaining about pain in my neck from working on the computer all day due to my reading portion being at the bottom of my view. They adjusted my nose pieces and told me to lower my monitors. Didn't give me any other options. Fast forward 10 months and I find out you can order single vision computer glasses that put an adjusted magnification in your center view for extended monitor use. IT CAN BE CALCULATED USING YOUR EXISTING RX. I called and was told they don't want to do this for me unless I come in for a new exam b/c "there could be changes". Well DUH there "could be changes" but my Rx is only 10 months old and doesn't expire until Feb of 2026. I explained to her that I wish I would have been given this option in Feb when I was complaining of neck pain and that if they change my Rx I'm going to have to order all new glasses which would end up costing about $1500 which is unnecessary. The girl just kept restating that there could have been changes since my last eye exam. I don't think I will ever go back to LensCrafters. The fact that they did not let me know about a solution for my problem and then, they refuse to honor a currently valid prescription makes me feel like they either a) really don't know what they're doing or b) are money grubbing or c) all of the above. They will also try and sell you an expensive progressive for computer use. You can buy SINGLE VISION for this. I'm getting some from Warby Parker right now using my Rx from Feb. read more

I have never been to an eye doctor before. I notified a change in my vision and was told by a friend to use LensCrafters because they were easy and had qualified professional doctors. I went in to this location and did the exam. Literally within 30 minutes I was informed that I should go to the ER because the doctor believed I had cancer in my eye. They were right! Early and accurate detection and I would never have expected a company so ubiquitous would have such knowledgeable doctors. They saved my eye, and I had garbage insurance but still only had to pay like $50. Please. If you have made it to this review and are debating it. Get the exam. It blows my mind to this day, but this place has legit interest in eye health and isn't just a place to sell cool frames. read more

Absolutely disappointed in Lenscrafters. First of all, the doctor didn't appear to know how to do her job. She didn't adjust the phoropter to fit me. So I had to keep moving my head around so my eye was in the middle and I could see everything without it looking like I was looking through a fish lens. Never in my life have I had to do this with any other optometrist. I knew my prescription was going to be wrong and of course as soon as I got my glasses (not through them) everything is warped. I have to go somewhere else that has a doctor that knows how to give an actual exam now to get a real prescription. Then I was charged $39 for the eye exam when my insurance pays for one free exam a year. This was my only exam this year, so why did I get charged the $39?!! Nobody could tell me. Also, I am supposed to get one free pair of glasses with my insurance but AFTER insurance getting glasses there was going to be an additional $450! No thank you! I'm not paying that much for cheap glasses because you throw a designer name on them. They wasted my free exam, and charged me extra on top of it, never going back. read more

The worst experience ever...wasted my entire weekend trying to get a new pair of glasses. I was a couple of minutes late for my appointment on Saturday so they turned me away. Made me a new appt. for Sunday which I checked in on time on the button and proceeded to wait for over an an hour to see the doctor. They were very rude and didn't seem to care when I called back a couple months after a year to get my glasses fixed because they got scratches in them. They told me I was gonna cost me another $600 for new lenses just the lenses and it was exactly one was week after the year and the person on the phone did want to not help me at all like it was a inconvenience that I bought classes from their store. I had an appointment at your location today as you were a preferred provider with my eye insurance. My exam went well and the young woman and dr that assisted me were great. When I came out to start looking at frames the young man was a bit rude and never helped finding frames or how to go about the process. So I looked on my own. Once I did find a pair he was somewhat interested in helping. He was trying to upsell me over and above and just wanted my money. When I had my copayment summary right in front of me that was way less. I asked why so much. He said that's what we charge. Finally gives a breakdown of things we never talked about nor he explained. Needless to say I walked out purchasing nothing as I felt I was completely being ripped off. I won't go back. He did not care when I said I was leaving and why. read more

I'm not sure what prompted my glasses to fall apart at the gym, but they did. I walked into the store and was immediately greeted by Misha and his coworker whom I didn't get the name of. I explained my story and without hesitation, Misha and his coworker brought my glasses to the back and fixed it. You don't know how much you need something until you're without it! Went in with eye pain. The optometrist saw me, diagnosed the issue and followed up with me for several weeks until the issue with my eye resolved. In the meantime I had to wear glasses instead of contact lenses. The staff helped me pick out new frames and order glasses. My experience there was wonderful. My daughter came in for her yearly eye exam at LensCrafters at the Roseville Galleria Mall. We were told to wait for her contact prescription to be finalized, but she's currently at college on the OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY. As a supporting, loving mom, I told my daughter I could take care for her to help finalize and confirm her contact prescription. When I called the office staff, they were SUPER nice and understanding of the situation. They told me to come in whenever to handle such business. Props to them! However, when I visited LensCrafters in person, I was met with the opposite behavior than on the phone... My daughter is over 18, but I got the authorization to handle this particular situation for her - since, again, she's currently in college and is particularly busy (taking 21 credit hours!!!). When I requested to finalize the contact prescription to this middle-aged man, he RUDELY dismissed my actions and effort to do so. He was EXTREMELY ridiculous and overreacted about this situation. So not professional of him as a middle-aged man working as a REPRESENTATIVE of a successful business. read more

They refreshed the store format, but they don't spend the money on proper training for their people. They lose your records all the time, change the appointment on you when they want, and give you some bs reason on why they have to cancel on you after you get there. JOAQUIN did an excellent job, tightened and adjusted to face then cleaned them. I was done in 5 minutes. OUTSTANDING, can't say enough how nice they were. No charge. This store cares more about a sale and helping a customer out. I walked in and was not greeted. Only was looked at by the person that signs you I'm. I looked at the glasses then I found two pairs I liked and carried them in my hand. I then made eye contact with the person that signes you in three times until she came and asked me if I needed help. Of course I needed help then she signed me in. All the other associates were busy helping customers. Once one was free I heard him go up to her and he told her "who's next?" And she said he's next she pointed to me and said he just wants a quote. Then she pointed at the door where customer just came in and said that they are looking to buy contacts. The gentleman immediately went to the door and I was skipped. If you do go to this store say you're going to BUY something so you can be helped before anyone else. All the woman asked was my name she didn't even bother to ask what I was there for. 12 oaks mall in Novi Michigan. Both times that I bought eyeglasses at this location I was offered a protection plan which I declined only to find out that I was charged anyways. What a hassle to have to deal with. I'm thinking that they make their itemized bill so difficult to read that some customers may not realize that they were charged for something that they declined. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that the sales person receives compensation for selling protection plans. read more

I rushed down before the listed closing this evening because my dog broke my glasses. Online said they were open and they had my frames in stock. I called and even though no one answered the phone, the recording said nothing about being closed for construction. In fact, it advertised a sale on lenses which I thought was perfect in case mine couldn't be changed over to new frames. After having my husband drive me down from Grass Valley (I can't legally drive without glasses), we found a sign on the door saying they are closed for the next 4 days for remodeling. There were multiple people inside, any of them could have answered the phone to say this. They could have changed the online hours of the phone recording of the store to reflect the closed status. Then I would have known to bring my prescription so I could go to Costco instead. read more

Lens Crafters I visited LC on 01/04/23 and picked out some Ray-ban frames off the shelf (and by the way you only get what is on the shelf and handled by other people), not new frames. I was told 1-2 weeks for lenses and so I called on 01/13/23 and told the lenses were going to be there any day (no tracking provided to them, which is weird considering they ordering the lenses and should know this). So, then on 01/18/23 I called (no calls ever from LC) and they began to tell me that the lenses came in but they destroyed the frames by using some solution to clean the lenses. The girl there told me that they ordered new frames and lenses the same day that they ruined mine. Here we are 3 weeks in and no glasses still and no customer calls for updates or assurances. Then I get a call (FINALLY) on 01/23/23 from a guy that states they ruined my glasses and has to reorder them...WHAT!? I just went through all of this with 4 other people there the week prior, so why am I now starting over with someone new!? So, long story longer, they reordered "new frames" and "new lenses" on 01/22/23, NOT back on 01/18/23 or earlier as I was told. He then stated that they could give me loaner Ray-ban frames with my old lenses until the new set arrives. Okay, so now I have those and still waiting since 01/25/23 (now 4 weeks) with no original order and 6 different stories of what has happened from 3 different people. There is STILL no resolution to this as of 01/30/23, no calls from LC and no refund or customer satisfaction from this store. I do not suspect that this will ever be resolved and may not see my frames and lenses for 5-6 weeks. Stay away and go somewhere that will protect their customers purchases and train employees to give accurate information. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and will never go here again and neither should you. read more
