Do not buy glasses or frames here!! I paid over $1,000 for some frames and glasses. After only two wearings the frames were falling off of my face. And the lenses were just "off." I didn't feel like I could see very well out of them. I took them to my Optician, Schermer Associates, here in Sacramento. They told me that the frames are of "very poor quality." (at over $600). They said they could adjust them for me but the adjustment wouldn't "hold." They also told me that my prescription for lenses calles for Varilux lenses. Eye Chick put in much cheaper lenses and there is a difference. I was told the "channels' are different, whatever that means. What it means is that I can't see out of the glasses. There is no way the person who put in the lenses didn't know that and make a conscious choice to put in the cheaper lenses. Eye Chick will not stand behind their products. I asked for a refund and was simply told that they don't do that. So they have sold me a shoddy product at a very high price and won't stand behind it. I have a $1,000 pair of glasses that are useless to me. I have contacted my attorney and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Beware!! read more

My 16 year old daughter broke her glasses . We super glued them twice. March 2020 called her eye doctor and they were closed because of covid-19. They sent me her last prescription in snail mail . I called around and could not find anybody including Costco open . I live in loomis, I drove past eye chicks. I went in and she said Yes, we are open with safety precautions. I drive home and picked up my daughter and got back to eye chicks at 5:15 pm. She stayed open / stayed late to help us. She made several recommendations on frames that would help my daughter see better . She has a strong prescription. My daughter is a picky 16 year old who does not like to shop ! We got comfortable new frames ordered They came in one week later . They will adjust them anytime and it's close ! Excellent service and excellent product ! read more

A bright and creatively laid out shop with a wide array of stylish and some unusual frames. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. For about two minutes. The sales lady was uber extroverted and was in my face the entire rest of the time I was in the store. I'm a quiet and private person and prefer to shop without assistance unless I need it. None of the frames had price tags on them so if I tried on a pair I had to ask how much they cost. When doing so I wouldn't just get, "that pair is $550," but "that pair is $550 and it was made by [name of some famous designer] in Austria and all the stones are placed by hand," or another variation of explanation for the high cost. The emphasis on where and how the glasses were made was like a broken record. I'm not poor, but seriously, have them reproduced in Rocklin and cut the price back a couple hundred dollars. Having some personal space boundaries, I didn't appreciate having the sales lady reaching in and taking the glasses off my face and then grabbing a new pair to place over my ears instead of letting me put them on. "Those look great on you!" Why of course they do; you're getting a fat profit from selling them! Once I chose a pair (quite quickly due to all the pressure), I indicated that I wanted to take them to a large retailer to have them made with my prescription and they said they couldn't with these special frames, yadda, yadda. The total cost rang up to over a thousand dollars. Mic drop. For someone who loves gushing, pushy service and cute pricey frames from France or Bulgaria or wherever, this place is for you. An odd business. First, they operate with some truly unconventional business hours: Tuesday through Friday, 10-6. I take it that not being open on a Saturday and/or Sunday is to keep the riff-raff out. Considering the very high prices, it would seem that people who can afford such merchandise offered here would be working hard during the week to earn the money to thus blow at Eye Chicks. Anyway, they have some unique and interesting eye wear, no doubt. The peculiar part of this business is how they thrive on dominating you (the potential paying customer): Overwhelm you with stories about how great they are, how they are exclusive distributors for line x and line y, how drop-dead-sensational such-and-such line is, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Ad nauseum. Then they proceed to tell you what is best for you. You needn't look around the store: they won't let you. It is a tiny store and they keep you on a shockingly short leash like a disobedient dog. You like something over there? Well, if they decide that it won't look good on you, forget it, they'll almost rip it out of your hands (if you manage to get your hands on it before they catch you) and tell you that you won't/don't look good in that and reprimand you to come back to them. They never shut up! LOL. Control freaks, most certainly. While you're visiting (if you choose to, of course): They are incorrigible name droppers. As in "So-and-so (politician, local business/media person) wears this brand." Ooh, that is a reason to buy! Not. Their follow-up is dreadful. Bottom line: If you don't like what they want you to wear, forget it. You can ask them for all sorts of things, but if they don't want you wearing it, they'll ignore you or talk right over you. A strange and very confrontational operation here. If you are not going to buy what they have in stock when you visit, forget it. The situation is that simple. The most ironic part of our visit was the fact that just prior to stopping in to Eye Chicks, one of us deposited a $38,000.00 check (yes, you read that number right) at a nearby branch of our bank. Here we are, interested in another pair of glasses, cost being no significant obstacle, a wad of cash burning a whole in our pocket, and these two ladies soiling every opportunity for us to want to do business with them! Amazing, yes? Once they figured out that we might not buy anything during that visit, we were discarded like a nose booger being flicked away. They just walked away. No "Thank you for stopping by." or similar. No nothing. Just walked away and acted like we no longer existed while we stood in their store looking back at them. This could be such a more pleasant business to deal with were it not for the two eye chicks that own and run the place. If you like to be bossed around, listen to the owners tell you how brilliant they are, be told what looks good on you and what to wear, and spend astronomical amounts of money on eye wear, go here because you'll love it. This place is fabulous! Sandy helped me choose glasses that are "just right" for my face and personality. She spent as much time as I needed to make a decision -- even staying after hours to accommodate my schedule. I recommend making an appointment to be sure they can provide you with the one-on-one service that is so helpful. If you want a big selection of truly interesting and unique frames, this is definitely the place. I love wearing my new glasses -- it feels like I am putting on a favorite piece of jewelry!!
