Never answered the phone an I don't understand why they can't give me my prescription over the phone

When I went to go and purchase my lenses, the team there was great! And was advised by an employee to write a review so I will. This is my honest review... I got a text messages saying that my lenses were ready for pick up TEN minutes before they close. Now at that, I would figure that the more efficient thing to do would be to wait the next day to send out that notification or way prior in the day... not TEN MINUTES BEFORE THEY CLOSED. So I called and told the girl that I was barely sent that message and live down the street and would try to be there as fast as I can and in a rude tone she replied with "If you can get here before the gate closes then you can get them." I felt belittled to say the least. I spent about $200+ on a pair of lenses and would think they would have been more professional approach and give out notifications in a more timely manner. This is my last time having any services done at this location in fear of having the same situation happen again, with the same rude and unprofessional employee! read more

Best service and selection in Mesquite, TX! The staff is very knowledgeable about frames and lens craftsmanship. If you are older like me and need a good pair of glasses I highly recommend. Fast turn around as well. Only took 1 week to get my new glasses. Great scratch warranty as well. I can get new lenses for free if scratched wit him one year. Do be prepared to wait patiently if there is a line. The staff are thorough with fitting and explanation of options. Very pleased for over 3 years now! read more

worse experience ever came to purchase new lenses and frames. After being told I needed to pick which one of my insurances I wanted to use. I was told I couldn't use the $50 promo that was sent to me that specifically states combinable with insurance. I had to literally pull out my phone log in to my insurance site and show them my coverages and allowances because all they kept telling me was you can't get this you can't get that and that's not covered. I went on Tuesday to get my glasses repaired. The rubber bridge along nose fell off. They replaced both and for free. They were fast and efficient. Don't remember the young lady's name, but she deserves a shout out. I definitely will be back in upcoming year to get my lenses modified if needed. read more

Several weeks ago I went to LensCrafters at the Town East Mall in Mesquite, Texas. I had an unfortunate experience with one of the in-store reps. Her name was Natalie. She was at first very pleasant in assisting me with adding transition vantage to my lenses. At first when I asked for transition vantage she told me that they were only available in bi-focals and not single vision. Upon my insistence she asked a fellow co-worker who indicated that I could indeed get transition vantage on my single lens. Upon paying I asked for a detailed explanation of my bill. I noticed a charge for AF (anti-reflective) as well as the premium charge for Transition Vantage (TV). Natalie had stated that TV comes with an automatic Anti-reflective charge. Due to her explanation I was unsure as to why I was paying for a separate AF charge if AF was automatically included in the premium charge for TV. Instead of explaining she became very vocal and said "You're overthinking this, and I can't deal with it," I was shocked at her response. I indicated that as a paying customer I have a right to a thorough explanation of my bill. She again insisted that I was overthinking and exclaimed yet again "I'm not doing this. You are thinking too much about this." and then went to ask for another rep to assist me. I was very displeased to think that a representative would seek to treat me in such a condescending and disrespectful manner. She was rude and dismissive. The other rep that came to assist me was the opposite, she was very calm and respectful. She explained the charges in a way I understood. Natalie on the other had should not be working with customers if she is not patient enough to deal with persistent questions concerning a purchase. I've purchased my last 5 frames from LensCrafters and this experience has tarnished the reputation the company had with me. I filed an official complaint through a customer service representative as I was directed to do. I received and email from headquarters indicating that a case number was created and that I would hear from a store manager within 3 business days at most. After 4 business days and not receiving a response I again sent an email to headquarters regarding the situation. No one responded to the email. Out of frustration I called customer service and provided my case number along with the name of the initial agent who had sent me an email. I was given an apology and told that a store manager would be in touch. The store manager contacted me about a day later. As expected she was very apologetic and indicated that she would talk to the employee regarding the situation. I was told that the employee in question only worked on weekends and that the attitude displayed in my encounter with her was out of the norm. I appreciated the courteous way the manager dealt with the situation. I have been back to the store since and the manager asked that I contact costumer service to indicate that she addressed the situation since I had filed a formal complaint. While the issue has been resolved to my satisfaction I am reluctant to recommend anyone to conduct business at the Town East location. They are usually understaffed and you can generally anticipate an average wait time of 20 to 30 minutes to speak with a representative. Excellent customer service is not a part of their repertoire. The same can also be said of the Dr. Of Optometry located next door. I don't recommend either. I've since found that doing business with LensCrafters at the North Park Mall is a far superior experience in comparison to the subpar treatment of customers you can most often expect from the Town East location. read more

I do not know why it is that everywhere you go now you feel as it is an imposition that oyou walked thre their business, buut the short elderly woman is a real wacko! I just found an old pair of Prada frames, that started out as Sunglasses, I went somewhere and had them made into prescription out of them. this woman started throwing her hands in the air, telling me i have to be released from a dr before they would even consider putting them back as they started out. Worst place to go to. The PA ladies in the optometrist there hate kids. Didn't get chance to go to lense crafters but from what I saw in Google well they have bad ratings. So if you have kids don't go there cause they will be Rudd!! I just left didn't have time for there bs. There's plenty of other good places. read more

I wish there was a way to put negative stars on a review because I rec'd the worst customer service from Lenscafters that I ever had in my 30 + years of being a consumer and believe me I've encountered plenty. Forget the fact that the order took almost a month to get, and forget the fact that I cxld my order out of frustration and they sent it anyway, and forget the fact that the glasses I did receive did not have my bifocal prescription on it. Oh and also I have to pay an additional $200 for lenses I already paid them for. What really gets to me is the lack of empathy and help I rec'd from start to finish. I'm upset that even after that all I wanted was to cut some of my losses by getting a refund for the lenses and the warranty and they refused to do even that. Oh but here's the kicker, I can't even take advantage of the warranty they hijacked because in order to do that the glasses have to be in the same wrong condition that they shipped out. WOW!!! Needless to say they won't be getting anymore of my business and I strongly suggest they don't get yours either. read more

My family and I were camping today. We were on the paddle boats and my glasses fell off and into the deepest part of the lake. Not good!!! I couldn't find my backup pair and was in a panic. I would not recommend this lens crafter to anyone, management is disconnect. Glasses were to be ready Saturday morning, they never called us so we called them, only to find out that there machine was broken and they DIDNT know when it would be fixed. We suggested they take the prescription over to another store and said they couldn't. Called Sunday after 12, they informed us that the prescription had been taken to another store to be filled but they had no idea when they would be ready Maybe Tuesday, asked to speak to store manager or reginonal manager to no avail. Staff is very unprofessional I would have had better luck getting my glasses at McDonalds. read more

I had used lens crafters in the past and swore I would never go back. Yes I ate my words and went back I needed glasses and I hadn't been able to find any so I decided I had to get some quick so I went back. I found glasses within about 5 minutes and had to wait for the man to help me. He stared trying to place my order and their high tech equipment was down so he had to figure out how to do it the manual way. He got it and said your glasses should be ready in an hour. I left there went to social security office and everyone knows how long that takes. Finished there and went to 2 other stores when I got back over 2 hours later guess what my glasses still were not ready but a girl who had been there after me was told your glasses will be ready in 30 minutes and she was out of the store with her glasses and I was still waiting. At that point I was like now I know why I said I would never go back to them. I finally said I guess this is glasses in about a lifetime at this point amazingly the guy who makes the glasses picked mine up and finished them. So this is why I would suggest to everyone just go somewhere else because paying $500 for glasses they should be ready fast not by who is the young hot chic. read more
