Pre-Covid, I had been here once to get my glasses tightened and I found the place very clean, well-organized, and the staff friendly. I felt this was a good place for him to go. The call to make the appointment was super welcoming and easy. They also provided him with text updates of his upcoming appointment. When we arrived, there was hardly a wait as they were cognizant and respective of timeliness. He was impressed with the amount of new technology; gone are the days of the paper eye chart and eye drops to dilate your eyes - no more mindless waiting! It made the exam more thorough and precise. After the exam, it was time for the fun; picking out new frames! The staff was very helpful in selecting and opinionating on frames from a non-biased angle. After regular prescription glasses (including new sunglasses) were chosen, he was told they would be in and ready within 10-14 days. True to word, he got a call at the 10 day mark and then scheduled an appointment for sizing and pickup. This process was just as smooth; the staff make you feel very relaxed and comfortable that you're getting the best value overall, from beginning to end. If you love being a four-eyes, go check 'em out!

However, during my exam with Dr. Sirkin there was a few instances where she made me feel uncomfortable and I was in pain. I was having trouble keeping my eyes open during the eye pressure test. I told her I wanted to skip it and she kept insisting that I needed to do it. Then she wanted to put more numbing drops in my eyes and was holding my eye open with her two fingers. At this point I felt a sharp pain and told her that hurt but she would not back off which upset me. I again told her it hurt and that I thought it was her finger nail putting pressure on my skin. Needless to say when I patient says they are in pain or says no there should be no questions and the doctor should listen. Will never come back to this practice again.

I was helped by all the staff, especially a younger woman at this location who made me feel like a friend, as we talked about school and life. I found the right frames and was then sat down to talk about the price and different lenses. All of the staff gave me feedback on the different lenses and what would be best for my very strong prescription. This young woman broke down the price and the difference from each upgraded type of lense. I immediately said no there's no need, as all along I knew they were trying to help me find the best for me, not so I would simply spend more. I was directed to the right where the eye exams are done. I was not acknowledged so I just stood at the desk until someone appeared and asked what I needed. * Eye exam was done by a provider who was doing this remotely. As I wear hearing aids, I was not able to understand the provider and their questions, etc. One of the associates had to stand next to me during my eye exam to tell me what the provider was asking. This made me very uncomfortable and I honestly felt quite stupid not being able to understand the provider on my own. * They had a large selection of frames and good prices. * The person who took care of me marked the line on the lenses as to where the no line bifocals should be. One pair of glasses is ok but the other I literally see everything as blurry when I look straight out of them. If I tip my head down it tends to clear up a bit so I believe the line is not correctly placed. * When I picked up the first pair, they were just handed to me. When I asked about having them fit, she stated put them on which I did. She then stated looks good to me, you're all set. When I wore them to work the next day, I noticed the temple tips were actually pointing away from my head! I took them back a week later for adjustments but then they literally left dents in my head when I wore them all day. Took them back a third time and they seem to be okay. * I think the biggest issue for me is they would not put the two pair of glasses I bought through my insurance. I was told I would have to submit this on my own. Needless to say, it is a one and done with Stanton Optical. I will not be going back.

She went on to tell me that she was going to let me "look around " as if she was doing me a favor. She goes on to tell me "sorry these are licensed sunglasses and you can't do that" as I was taking a picture of them to send my boyfriend who was outside with our dog... she ran over and started literally walking me out of the store & handed me her business card ?? long story short I found the sunglasses on a website brand new, half off the price she had them there & ordered them 5 minutes after leaving the store.
