I spoke with a receptionist at 11:30 am & had to be there by 1:00pm . I got there a little early . They have a nice big parking lot, so that was a plus. Inside is very spacious. They have two doors, one to go into the ophthalmology department, and one to go into the eye care store, where you buy your glasses. They have really cool lighting inside, and the whole office plus store just looks really nice. There were three receptionist working, which was very handy because someone else was there before me being taken care of already, so I got to get taken care of right away as well. I got called into the back in just a few minutes, took an eye test told the nurse or technician the problems that I was having with my eye, and thankfully, it's nothing she hasn't heard before. That was a big relief. Then I had to go see the ophthalmologist. It was a short wait. He was very nice, very talkative, explained everything I needed to know. Give me an eye exam, a real exam with the lights in the eyes and the machine and all that stuff. And was able to diagnose what was wrong with my eye. He told me what was going to happen eventually, what was happening now, and what I would have to do in the near future. Explain things very well and in easy terms, that anybody can understand, thank God. Lol. Everybody was so nice there. I had to deal with two receptionists, one nurse/technician and the ophthalmologist, and they were all so friendly and so nice. The whole place inside is very clean and decorated nicely. They seem to have a large variety of glasses, way more than a place that I go to now has. I have to go back in a month, and I do not regret having to go back because it was a good experience. I would definitely refer anybody I know to come here for your Eye Care needs.

They don't have automatic doors or a handicap button which makes getting a wheelchair in and out of two sets of double doors, extremely difficult, and no one has ever offered to help but will just sit and watch us struggle. Dr. Gulati says all the right stuff like hello and have a nice day but his delivery and flat and unbothered. The place inside is clean and quiet. Hoping I can leave a better review at his annual visit next year.

When i first saw Dr Murphy he changed the way I see. I have an eye condition that causes me to see multiples. The solve for that is Scleral Lenses. They are very expensive and I got several pairs from Clarence Eye Center. For the first time in over 10 years, I was able to see clearly and only one of everything! He charges a $250 fitting fee for each eye, at least he did last time I last got lenses from him. This was to include the fitting fee for each eye including all scans to properly fit them as well as free follow ups for each eye to get the fit just right. The last pair I bought, on the last fitting, which should have been included, they billed my insurance for a routine eye exam. When i called to inquire they apologized but said they would not retract their claim from the insurance company. They offered me a "credit" for my next routine exam. I explained that I go to Fichte for routine eye exams and that I only see them for my lenses. They still refused to withdraw the claim. I could have at that point pushed to claim insurance fraud on them but since i just got resolved with my vision for what is usually a year or more i decided to not embarrass them with an insurance fraud claim. I figured that i would just find a new Scleral lense provider in the future even if I had to drive an hour to see them. Now, I am in the process of getting new lenses and my new provider reached out to them to get my records to get a baseline and not have to start from scratch and they have told my new provider that they cannot help them as they never did any scans of my eyes. That is a blatant lie since they needed to do the scans to fit me with the lenses. Moral of the story, Scleral Lenses are life changing, just don't go to Clarence Eye Center for them. Save yourself the headache and seek out a different provider.

I really look forward to our visits. Once I was done with Dr. Myers, I was able to get to the main shopping event...GLASSES! The selection here is very well curated and tailored towards their patients needs and current fashion trends. I met with Susan who as usual, knew exactly what looks good on me and led me through the inventory. We discussed high and low bridge and what suits my face-I didn't even know this was a thing. After my selections, I went over to Jonathan who always remembers me and of course, Tom and his candor made this one of the highlights of my year.

When she had to speak to the optician, Greg was stellar in his line of work with prisms as well as his mannerisms. Talk about knowing his stuff!!!! From the moment we walked in the door and greeted I had noticed a friendly and clean atmosphere. Mom has macular degeneration. Dr. Calhoun had nothing to offer. But what really prompted me to write this review is his total lack of class and empathy for the patient. The poor guy really didn't have much personality and wasn't really a nice guy. But, whatever if he can help. Yes, mom has trouble with her vision and that's why we were in his office. I asked if he felt her vision was going to get worse. Right in front of mom he shrugs his shoulders and says "She can't see anything anyway." Real class "doctor" to say something so crude in front of a lady in her 90s. I hate to contradict his statement, but I took her to a real low vision specialist. This gentleman told me that her retina still has good spots and that the brain looks for them. Well, Dr. Calhoun must have missed that class. So, if your mom needs a low visin specialist, take this guy off your list. He's rude and another doctor proved he really isn't all that good. If you have to go here, see Dr Schwach. I had to see him for a problem I was having & he got me in the same day. He explained everything, was a great guy and very good at helping out and putting me at ease. I would seriously recommend you stay away from Dr. Calhoun. He didn't seem to be that knowledgable and absolutely has no class. He should know better. Also, the office/front desk ladies aren't the most pleasant!!

Last year, my insurance changed, and I went to a large franchised business.And was unpleasantly surprised by the eye exam and the service... So even though my insurance doesn't pay as much, I am back at Doctor Riedel's, and was there today for a routine eye exam in which he explained all the changes in my eyes...What to notice and what to look for and what to report to him in changes that I might notice... He spent quite a bit of time on my exam.And I got the perfect prescription! The office staff is helpful, pleasant and also takes it's time with each patient. The atmosphere is pleasant, cozy and friendly... nice vibe here! I highly recommend this place for an accurate prescription with the pleasant nature of a small business.
