3.5-4 Stars - overall had a good experience here. Both Lisa and Dr. O'Connor were pleasant and quick with the eye exam. Decent selection of glasses to choose from and the staff helping with your glasses were also kind and patient. I got an email a week after my appointment that said they were ready and I was able to walk in, have them fitted, and leave within 5-10 minutes. The only downside to my experience was the wait to start the eye exam. I think I was in the waiting room for about 20 mins before i was brought back. It was busy at 12:30 on a Thursday. Yesterday I had an eye appointment for vision and my experience lasted almost 2 1/2 hours. I was surrounded by nice people including the doctor. The office is fresh and looks nice. There's a nice information informational board on the wall. The waiting area was large and full. I am going to rate them with three stars because I think the actual service I got was very good. It came in two parts the assistant did all the test quickly. After the initial test I sat with my peers waiting for the doctor sign off at the end. I got there at 11:00am and left at 1:25. I sat while they were taking their lunches. I will not be going back. To wait for a hour and a half for a nice doctor to do his part is unfair. If I'm late I have to pay but if this office isn't timely I eat it. Well not again. read more

I have been waiting weeks for my contacts and glasses. Yesterday I go to pick up my glasses so I can at least see again and when I walk up to the people that fit the glasses, they start yelling at each other and at me because they gave my glasses to someone else and they have no idea who it was. So not only am I out glasses, my contacts are over two weeks late getting delivered and I'm not going to be able to see for when I start my new job this weekend. And when I call they are two busy to talk to me to tell me how they are going to fix this and make it right. I'm telling everyone to take their business elsewhere. They literally stole from me and now they won't make it right or even talk to me read more

Rude customer service. They misplaced my sons script and then acted annoyed as if I was bothering them when I called to see where my sons glasses were.They finally said they found it after insisting we never went to the appointment and proceeded to blame insurance and say they were the hold up. All while rushing me off of the phone and treating me like a nuisance. This will be our last visit and I will be posting more on social media to let my friends and family know about the bad service and rude customer service read more

I went in for my follow up appointment today with Dr Legarreta and I was Impressed by how the staff was efficient and friendly while trying to adhere to all of the precautions. They have given me constant reassurance and I am healing well. I definitely recommend them. read more

I reached out to the staff at Legarreta eye center and have been getting treated for a problem with my eye. I was so nervous with all of Covid 19 issues and the staff was so kind from the front desk to the technician and Dr. Legarreta. They were impeccable about keeping the office clean and sterile but the fact they took the time to be kind and thorough. I was so impressed and beyond pleased with my experience. I am fully recovered now and am planning to schedule my routine eye exam soon. read more

Doctor was odd but seemed to know his job. Tim at the optical place is the best and the girl LISA that works there is a total cow with an attitude problem. She is very rude and knows nothing about customer service. The first time I had an interaction with LISA I thought maybe she was just having a bad day and I tried being nice despite her stank attitude (a position no patron should be put in) but then another time I called and she was still rude!! Lisa gave me a pack of contacts that made my eyes burn as soon as I opened them and put them in for the first time and tried to argue with me about it as if she took my complaint personally or that it was my first time wearing them and I don't know to wash my hands. Complete idiot and they keep her working there so spend your time and money somewhere else. People like her should not work in a job dealing with people. I guess some places don't care about how their staff treat customers leading them to go elsewhere. I'm young so I have many years left to buy glasses and make appointments and none of them will be with a staff person like Lisa. She needs to keep her bad vibes to herself. read more

Back in the late 90's I had cataracts. I was only working part-time and didn't have insurance. I earned $5.00 a month too much to qualify for medicaid. Anyway someone suggested I make an appointment and have my eyes checked anyway. I had cataracts in both eyes. The doctor was all set to set up for surgery until I told him I had no insurance. Not even a wham bam thank you maam just a kick to the curb. Talk about feeling lower than whale ..... So anyway a few weeks later my daughter was watching Good Morning America. They had an eye doctor from Erie County on-Dr. Anthone. He was having a cataract clinic. I was able to have both eyes done at no charge. I was treated like a real person. Everyone was very nice and respectful. Thank you Dr. Legarreta for being so rude. read more

First impression was ok. I waited in the waiting room for about 35 minutes before being called back with the nurse to do some tests. I do not remember her name but she was very pleasant. She kept smiling and we cracked some jokes. Definitely a good employee. Then off to see the Dr. No wait time there she was waiting outside the door to come in an see me. The exam went well. No issues with my eyes at all she stated. So off to go pick out my glasses and contacts....This was the worst experience I have have had in a very long time. First of all. When I was told I was not able to order the frames I picked out (not my insurance frames, I got that no problem there) but asked if there was a pair that was similar for sale Chris look confused. Walked around a little bit then I said just let me see the ones my insurance offers. Not impressed (no fault of theirs) SO Ok what If if just put the lenses in these frames that i already own. Chris was not on board with that because the frames are a few years old and if they break while putting in the new lenses they are not responsible..Great. Ok not doing that. So i sucked it up and picked a pair of insurance frames. My eyes are bad so I ALWAYS get my lenses shaved down (I pay for that out of pocket). Chris again confused...looks at the insurance papers and said nope you cant pay for that the insurance wont let you. (called my insurance company and i absolutely could have paid for that out of pocket) Starting to get real irritated. I said forget it I don't want the frames or lenses. Lets talk contacts. I wear the night and days (for the last 5 years) again...ummmm well i will have to get approval from the dr. oh but im not going to do that today, Hopefully by Monday (Dr is in the office...why cant you go ask now?) So for the time being 2 week disposables it is. Sign this fitting fee agreement and then he went to get the contacts. Never had me put them in at the office. Did not recheck to make sure the curves of the eye were correct with the contacts they picked out (which is probably why they fall out way to easy) Fine off I go. Come Tuesday the following week I am not told that I am not cleared for Night and Days. According to the Dr my eyes are not fit for that (mind you we had a great exam with no concerns) and that she wrote me a scrip for allergy drops. I Never left with a script. I don,t have allergies. And they wont review this Chris just sounded confused again. So now I want a refund for the fitting fee. You didn't fit anything, He says come in Friday. Never heard anything from Tuesday to Friday. Fitting fee refund denied. Did they tell you. Umm nope sure didn't. Now I have been trying to call Sally for the past 3 days at the Williamsville office and she is never available. Mail box is full and not returning my phone call as I am leaving messages with the receptionist. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. I will never go back again. Back to my other Dr and paying for everything out of pocket. Extremely frustrated. Also they billed my insurance for the frames and lenses that I did not get. They said the bill was adjusted. I asked to receive a copy and have yet to receive that in the mail. read more

I have been going to the Lockport office for a number of years. Dr. Legaretta is very thorough as is his staff. Everyone is very kind and understanding, the office runs fairly on time with appointments. Of course there are times when something takes more time and if a patient has questions and concerns that cause their appointment to run longer. I would rather wait, knowing that if it was me that had questions and concerns they would be addressed. I would recommend them to anyone. read more
