I have never had a more in depth, understanding and relatable doctor all while being humorous and making the experience enjoyable. To no surprise I knew I was going to need new glasses, and the staff all around the board was beyond helpful. I normally do not enjoy looking for new glasses as I feel pressure from the staff to spend more of fancy frames and the high end lenses as a huge up charge. I was helped by all the staff, especially a younger woman at this location who made me feel like a friend, as we talked about school and life. I found the right frames and was then sat down to talk about the price and different lenses. All of the staff gave me feedback on the different lenses and what would be best for my very strong prescription. This young woman broke down the price and the difference from each upgraded type of lense. I normally feel Pressure but at one point she even asked "would you like me to Step away for a moment so you can think about it?". I immediately said no there's no need, as all along I knew they were trying to help me find the best for me, not so I would simply spend more. I will be recommending this store to anyone as I have never had a more pleasurable experience!

Initial experience was superb. The young woman who took the measurements etc was one of the very good ones I had worked with in decades. When glasses came, I rec'd an email, picked up the glasses but this time the experience was poor. One lady promptly handed me the glasses. I had ordered transitional + progressive + high end glare protection (I have a serious glare issue). When asked if she checked if the transitional was done she replied yes. She did not bother to make sure the fit was good, saying as long as it is not falling off when you lower your head you should be fine. No attempt to make sure if the focus of the two lenses and the curvature of the glasses were correct. Well, I soon find out the transition was not done! Okay, Davis messed up! I return to have the glasses redone, but then once glasses got done no intimation comes! I called to check eventually as I had travel coming up. Yes they were done! I walk in, one other woman was getting checked out, 3 agents sitting in front of me, no one makes eye contact! No one asks why I was there! After being ignored for nearly 5-7 mins I found an elderly woman walked in and sought and got immediate help! I am asian. Rest were white. I felt strong racism in how I was treated, common in this era of America but unthinkable even in the deep south back from the 80s. When I spoke up eventually I was attended to without any apology of any sort. Glasses were again not fitted. But this time I had that very same inept woman from last time to check the transitional. She did and this time showed me. Never bothered to get the glasses fitted once again. Your service needs to get better if you wish to stay in business. You can't have a store which has one good front end person and the rest this crappy!!! Please learn to hire normal, polite, caring, decent people. The folks here seem like a species by themselves.

Kept apologizing for the run around that they were giving me. I tried to update my lenses, using my existing frames and with a straight face they wanted over $600 per pair. I had two pairs. Shameful and pathetic. Please resist the temptation to give this place your business. Corporatization has turned it into a den of thieves. I felt bad for the staff. They were all very pleasant and only doing what the corporate over-lords are making them do. DANGER, DANGER, DANGER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had five of my…read moreappointments canceled at the Niagara Falls Retina specialist office in the past year, usually because he's taking the day off and recently he's taking the week off. when they give you another appointment, it's usually months down the road, instead of fitting you in and moving other appointments around. I feel when you have a serious eye condition like AMD It should be watched closely. Not sure what's going on with him, but I finally had enough and scheduled with another doctor. Unless he has an illness of his own, I don't feel that his patients take priority over his own personal life.

Dr Paul Lee performed emergency surgery on me for retina detachment. Faced with sudden loss of…read morevision was certainly disconcerting and Dr Lee diagnosed my detachment and presented options and risks in a most thorough and professional manner. I opted for immediate injection of a gas bubble in the affected eye. This was followed by 3 sessions of laser surgery needed to weld the retina back in place. It as not comfortable to remain still in an upright position for a month as instructed by the good doctor, but I am sure glad I did! After 6 weeks and 3 surgeries my vision is returning to normal. I am indebted to Dr Lee for his demeanor, expertise and skillful treatments. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!

I really liked this provider at one time. I really tried not to give a bad review of Clarence Eye…read moreCenter and Dr Murphy but i could no longer hold off on this. When i first saw Dr Murphy he changed the way I see. I have an eye condition that causes me to see multiples. The solve for that is Scleral Lenses. They are very expensive and I got several pairs from Clarence Eye Center. For the first time in over 10 years, I was able to see clearly and only one of everything! He charges a $250 fitting fee for each eye, at least he did last time I last got lenses from him. This was to include the fitting fee for each eye including all scans to properly fit them as well as free follow ups for each eye to get the fit just right. The last pair I bought, on the last fitting, which should have been included, they billed my insurance for a routine eye exam. When i called to inquire they apologized but said they would not retract their claim from the insurance company. They offered me a "credit" for my next routine exam. I explained that I go to Fichte for routine eye exams and that I only see them for my lenses. They still refused to withdraw the claim. I could have at that point pushed to claim insurance fraud on them but since i just got resolved with my vision for what is usually a year or more i decided to not embarrass them with an insurance fraud claim. I figured that i would just find a new Scleral lense provider in the future even if I had to drive an hour to see them. Now, I am in the process of getting new lenses and my new provider reached out to them to get my records to get a baseline and not have to start from scratch and they have told my new provider that they cannot help them as they never did any scans of my eyes. That is a blatant lie since they needed to do the scans to fit me with the lenses. Moral of the story, Scleral Lenses are life changing, just don't go to Clarence Eye Center for them. Save yourself the headache and seek out a different provider.
