About a year and a half ago I returned to Gary's after moving back to Lewiston with a new script. I explained to Gary that I was going out of town for the Christmas holidays and really hoped I could get the new glasses since I was having difficulty with my current script. This was on a Wednesday and I was leaving on the following Monday. I picked up the new glasses on Saturday. Another time the lens fell out of the frame and the screw was lost. It was late in the day and I got to Gary's about 5 or 10 minutes after they had closed. The lights where still on so I knocked on the door. Gary let me in and fixed my glasses within 10 minutes. PLEASE TRY THEM OUT. YOU WON'T BE SORRY.

The office is set up to feel spacious and comfy which offsets the usual wait times, before and often, during appointments. They always have a great selection in their fairly large showroom and are more than patient when it comes to selecting eyewear. I would highly trust their opinion in styling my eyes with either new frames or contact lenses. Dr. Marchand has been my optomitrist my whole life and while I usually feel uncomfortable around doctors and in clinical environments, etc. . .I have never felt uncomfortable during a trip to the eye doctor. I called on Friday and spoke to Carl, who was very concerned for me & booked me for the next day, Saturday @ 10:30. I was so totally impressed with the complete team @ Cedarbrae Eye Doctors. The receptionists are so pleasant & helpful. Dr. Lorenz was so informative and explained everything in great detail to me. Thank god I had nothing to serious & the redness should be gone in a couple of weeks. (I popped a blood vessel in my eye by lifting a box that was too heavy). I brought my mom to see the optometrist because she really needs new prescription glasses…read more We filled in the intake form. After 35 mins, the assistant did some initial tests. At 55 mins, the optometrist saw her and did more tests like an eye chart. The optometrist is a pleasant person. I sat in the room with the optometrist. He did quite a thorough examination. He is good with seniors. My mom likes to talk a lot, and so does the optometrist.  The issue is that the appointment lasted a total of 2 hours instead of the usual 45 mins. As they both kept speaking and telling stories, the optometrist kept doing his work, so I thought it wasn't finished. At some point, I spoke up and said we are late for other appointments.  Then the optometrist said I should have spoken up earlier because he was done 30 mins prior! What?! Perhaps the things he was doing were optional. If it weren't for the extended talking and stories, I would have given a 5-star rating. There is no free WiFi. The place is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom. There is free parking in the strip mall parking lot. Review 2023-199
