I brought my mom to see the optometrist because she really needs new prescription glasses…read more We filled in the intake form. After 35 mins, the assistant did some initial tests. At 55 mins, the optometrist saw her and did more tests like an eye chart. The optometrist is a pleasant person. I sat in the room with the optometrist. He did quite a thorough examination. He is good with seniors. My mom likes to talk a lot, and so does the optometrist.  The issue is that the appointment lasted a total of 2 hours instead of the usual 45 mins. As they both kept speaking and telling stories, the optometrist kept doing his work, so I thought it wasn't finished. At some point, I spoke up and said we are late for other appointments.  Then the optometrist said I should have spoken up earlier because he was done 30 mins prior! What?! Perhaps the things he was doing were optional. If it weren't for the extended talking and stories, I would have given a 5-star rating. There is no free WiFi. The place is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom. There is free parking in the strip mall parking lot. Review 2023-199

Took a year to save up then went to a fabulous new optomitrist who got everything right, no problem and pointed out my old glasses from Denbak did not match my prescription. I brought my elderly mother there, and they are very patient. We went there on 2023-09-01 to get new prescription glasses and lenses. They arrived 2 weeks later, and they did adjustments. They get the lens made off-site, but they have an in-house lab to cut the lens to fit a frame. It that way, they provide faster service. For whatever reason, they can never get it adjusted properly. She has been back there 5 times (it is now 2023-12-09). I don't know why she keeps needing adjustments. My mom also complains about getting dizzy. I suspect the transition line (she got a progressive lens) is too low for her. There is a little table for young children to sit and play. There is no free WiFi. The store is wheelchair accessible. Went back several times no satisfaction, (it is what it is) Returned to Ontario St where we were clients for a number of years before our move! Nicole and Micheline were like a tag team so Professional and very easy to explain my problem. They knew what the problem was and were ready to make my vision perfect again!! The glasses are *gorgeous* from all over the world and not the usual styles that you see everywhere. They carry really beautiful, unique glasses with only the best craftsmanship. Very fashion forward. Paul and Pat are both really nice and helpful and I didn't feel pressured at all. I'm in love with several pairs of glasses and will definitely be back!
