I had made calls to several different places being told they were mostly booking 2-3 months ahead. As I just lost my glasses, and my last prescription was too out of date to use again I was in a huge hurry to order glasses for driving, etc. Wheatfield Eye Care fit me in only having to wait 1 day. I was examined by Brunilde Matuszak, O.D. She, and her husband Brian, are both on staff to do examinations at this shop they own. Brunilde was very thorough and patient, taking the time to compare different strengths as many times as was necessary to ensure I received the very best prescription. She also explained all she was doing as she went along, and made me feel very comfortable at all times. I received my order just a few days later and am just thrilled with them. I'm convinced it was Brunilde's thoroughness that has provided me with the best vision I've ever had. Thank You so much for making time to take care of me so promptly. I suggest anyone in the market for an eye exam, or eye glasses/contacts take the time to go see these folks. You'll be glad you did!

However, during my exam with Dr. Sirkin there was a few instances where she made me feel uncomfortable and I was in pain. I was having trouble keeping my eyes open during the eye pressure test. I told her I wanted to skip it and she kept insisting that I needed to do it. Then she wanted to put more numbing drops in my eyes and was holding my eye open with her two fingers. At this point I felt a sharp pain and told her that hurt but she would not back off which upset me. I again told her it hurt and that I thought it was her finger nail putting pressure on my skin. Needless to say when I patient says they are in pain or says no there should be no questions and the doctor should listen. Will never come back to this practice again.

Over a year ago went to Fichte for a routine eye exam . I was told that the time I would own…read morenothing and that my insurance would cover it . Six months later I got a bill for $255 is stating that my insurance did not cover that . I called and ended up speaking to an office manager and was told without any contingency that the bill was inaccurate that the bill was submitted the insurance and correctly and would be rectified . I was told that I would owe nothing and I should ignore any future bills . There was no contingency about hearing back for the insurance company . I was told that all they were an error and that I did indeed owe the $255 months later. I told them I'd be happy to pay the bill provided they can provide me recording made of the conversation where I was told that my payment was contingent upon insurance company approval . Instead of just being told to ignore future bills and that it was handled . 14 months later we are still going back and forth about this and they have no interest in providing the recording . I cannot stress how highly you should never deal with these lying money-grubbing bastards .

She was very nice, an testing went smoothly. Dr.Chaudhry was super thorough! I have worn glasses since I was about 1, and I don't ever recall having such a thorough exam. So thorough she found an issue I need to address with a Retina specialist! She took the time to explain the concerns, and proper treatment moving forward. Then there is Jason, he was the star of the visit. He was amazing in picking out frames, running cost through insurance, and just answering all questions and concerns we had! He was really a joy to work with! Very pleasant experience, glad took the plunge and switched!

I went to Stanton Optical on Labor Day as they had openings for an eye exam…read more * Entering the store, it is a bit confusing as to where you have to go. I was directed to the right where the eye exams are done. I was not acknowledged so I just stood at the desk until someone appeared and asked what I needed. * Eye exam was done by a provider who was doing this remotely. As I wear hearing aids, I was not able to understand the provider and their questions, etc. One of the associates had to stand next to me during my eye exam to tell me what the provider was asking. This made me very uncomfortable and I honestly felt quite stupid not being able to understand the provider on my own. * They had a large selection of frames and good prices. * The person who took care of me marked the line on the lenses as to where the no line bifocals should be. One pair of glasses is ok but the other I literally see everything as blurry when I look straight out of them. If I tip my head down it tends to clear up a bit so I believe the line is not correctly placed. * When I picked up the first pair, they were just handed to me. When I asked about having them fit, she stated put them on which I did. She then stated looks good to me, you're all set. When I wore them to work the next day, I noticed the temple tips were actually pointing away from my head! I took them back a week later for adjustments but then they literally left dents in my head when I wore them all day. Took them back a third time and they seem to be okay. * I think the biggest issue for me is they would not put the two pair of glasses I bought through my insurance. I was told I would have to submit this on my own. Needless to say, it is a one and done with Stanton Optical. I will not be going back.

All kinds, broke a bunch, fixed a bunch, but I would rather a person that cared about the work, and was willing to learn than a egocentric repair person, with no touch or care in what they were doing. I had to go to Buffalo Eye Care to see an Ophthalmologist…read more When I called to try to make an appointment asap, they were able to accommodate me even though they said the Doctor was booked solid. I spoke with a receptionist at 11:30 am & had to be there by 1:00pm . I got there a little early . They have a nice big parking lot, so that was a plus. Inside is very spacious. They have two doors, one to go into the ophthalmology department, and one to go into the eye care store, where you buy your glasses. They have really cool lighting inside, and the whole office plus store just looks really nice. There were three receptionist working, which was very handy because someone else was there before me being taken care of already, so I got to get taken care of right away as well. I got called into the back in just a few minutes, took an eye test told the nurse or technician the problems that I was having with my eye, and thankfully, it's nothing she hasn't heard before. That was a big relief. Then I had to go see the ophthalmologist. It was a short wait. He was very nice, very talkative, explained everything I needed to know. Give me an eye exam, a real exam with the lights in the eyes and the machine and all that stuff. And was able to diagnose what was wrong with my eye. He told me what was going to happen eventually, what was happening now, and what I would have to do in the near future. Explain things very well and in easy terms, that anybody can understand, thank God. Lol. Everybody was so nice there. I had to deal with two receptionists, one nurse/technician and the ophthalmologist, and they were all so friendly and so nice. The whole place inside is very clean and decorated nicely. They seem to have a large variety of glasses, way more than a place that I go to now has. I have to go back in a month, and I do not regret having to go back because it was a good experience. I would definitely refer anybody I know to come here for your Eye Care needs.

They don't have automatic doors or a handicap button which makes getting a wheelchair in and out of two sets of double doors, extremely difficult, and no one has ever offered to help but will just sit and watch us struggle. Dr. Gulati says all the right stuff like hello and have a nice day but his delivery and flat and unbothered. The place inside is clean and quiet. Hoping I can leave a better review at his annual visit next year.

Dr. Llakatura is extremely thorough in giving eye exams, she's easy to talk to and will discuss any issues in a kind manner letting you know what your options are and how to proceed. The insurance can be hard to figure out but they deal with it for you and come up with the best suggestions to get the most for your money. They have deals like buy one get one quite often. I don't enjoy doing these kind of things but Visionworks makes it easy and comfortable....that helps a lot.

The biggest issue was the complete lack of transparency regarding the protection plan that was sold to me. When I purchased my glasses, I specifically asked what the protection plan covered because my primary concern was losing my glasses. I was clearly told that the plan covered both lost and damaged glasses, which is why I agreed to purchase it. When I later called after losing my glasses, I was informed that the plan does not cover lost glasses. That was the exact opposite of what I was told when making my purchase. When I called to discuss the issue, I spoke with Karen. While she never raised her voice, her tone and choice of words came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than listening to my concerns or acknowledging that there may have been a misunderstanding on the office's part, she repeatedly implied that I must have "misheard" or "misunderstood." It's frustrating to be told that the mistake was yours when you specifically asked questions to avoid this exact situation. My concerns didn't stop there. During my eye exam, I explained to the doctor that I had previously worn bifocal lenses and did not like them because they caused more problems than they solved. Despite sharing my past experience, I was strongly encouraged to get bifocals again. I trusted the doctor's recommendation, but unfortunately, I ended up with the same issues I had experienced before. I also expressed concerns about my family's eye history and my significant light sensitivity, which continues even while wearing these glasses, and I requested a referral to a specialist. Instead of feeling heard, I left feeling like my concerns were brushed aside. Patients know their own experiences, and those concerns deserve to be taken seriously. Overall, this experience left me feeling misled, dismissed, and unheard. Honest communication, respectful customer service, and listening to patients should be the standard at any medical practice. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
