I switched to hear this year, was tired of my old place, service and quality was slipping. So those were two things I was really looking for coming here. They nailed both! Beautiful clean, well lit building. Was greeted upon entering. Was about 20 minutes early for my appointment, but soon as walked was greeted and a minute later Katie came out to do some pre testing. She was very nice, an testing went smoothly. Dr.Chaudhry was super thorough! I have worn glasses since I was about 1, and I don't ever recall having such a thorough exam. So thorough she found an issue I need to address with a Retina specialist! She took the time to explain the concerns, and proper treatment moving forward. Then there is Jason, he was the star of the visit. He was amazing in picking out frames, running cost through insurance, and just answering all questions and concerns we had! I had my annual eye exam back in early December 2021 and forgot to leave a review! This was a pretty easy location to get to with plenty of parking. The staff I interacted with were courteous and friendly! The eye exam went smoothly. The only negative I would say was the wait to get a new pair of frames fitted, but with places having a tough time finding people to work, I understood. I was told my frames would be ready within 10 days and they were ready in 7! Coming back in and getting the final adjustments was easy and they were very accommodating in letting me walk around and try to let the frames "settle" on my head. As long as my current vision plan remains, I have no problem coming back here for my annual eye exam and to pick up some new frames! read more

We normally visit the LensCrafters Eastern Hills location but they weren't answering their phones so assumed they were not open. The Maple Road location was open with all the pandemic protocols in place. Hand sanitizer available, distancing and masks on. An employee was fastidiously spraying and wiping counters. Plexiglass was up at the checkout area. It was very pleasant to visit this location and we received excellent customer care. Honey needed prescription sunglasses and it seemed like a good time to order some. Our optician worked very hard to get him into a decent looking pair to replace the aged cool Ray Bans with lenses popping out. She was careful to get the right progressive spot by using the computer measures spot and hand measuring for a truly custom fit. read more

I want to give a shout out to Jason at LensCrafters on Maple Road. I was trying to replace a broken sunglasses lens but one of the screw was kind of stripped. I went in to see if they could help me. Jason was able to take the stripped screw off, put the lens in, gave me a good screw, clean the lenses. Thank you, Jason! read more

I broke my glasses and had to use gorilla glue. Made an appointment at the new location near Michaels on NFB. Making the appointment was weird because there systems were down but the rest of the process was great. Eye exam, optometrist, eye glass coordinator (frank) pick up process were all so easy and seamless. The price was about $500 per pair but the designer frames, transition lenses and no line bifocal glasses make it worth the time & money. My new glasses fit great and I actually see better. I realized that due to the pandemic I had not had an eye exam. My eyes have not changed in over 10 years so I wasn't too concerned but I know that good eye health is important especially after all of this working from home from the computer for the last two years. I was able to browse the store on my own without feeling like somebody was following me around, which I know for sales that they consider that to be helpful, but I consider that to be a little pushy. I feel like I can find my own para glasses so I really liked the fact that they did not follow you around trying to show you every single pair that is on the wall hoping that you would find some thing. The tech was really good when I got my eyes checked and even tolerated my child hanging out in there with me because she didn't wanna wait out in the waiting room with dad. My only issue with the pre-screen is that they wanted to do a retinal scan which is not covered by insurance and me being in my 30s without a diagnosis of diabetes this is completely unnecessary. She did not ask me if I wanted it she just said OK and next we're going to do this test. And I stopped her because I knew that it wasn't necessary, and asked if it was covered by insurance with my annual visit. She then looked at me and told me that it didn't and that it was going to be $40. So I said no I did not want it. She kept saying that she was going to ask the optometrist if it was needed and then I could just have it done when the optometrist saw me. I still said no the optometrist said that it wasn't necessary given my age and my health. I did find an amazing pair of glasses that I really liked, I haven't gotten them yet just because I haven't been able to get back in and they apparently only hold a pair of frames for certain amount of time. And they cannot be ordered. I'm a little confused about that and I have to talk to them. So I hope I can get the glasses that I picked out and they don't just use the frames that are on the wall and once they're gone they're gone because that would stink. read more

I had been coming here for the last couple of years. I recently got a new job and before setting up my appointment I called ahead to make sure my new insurance was still accepted...they said it was. Today I went in for my exam and was quoted a price. I asked for the second time if that included my INSURANCE they lady who did my pre screening and said yes. I then said I thought my insurance covered my basic exam but not my special contact fitting. As I go to check out the man and I were taking and he asked me what insurance I had I told him the one I wrote down and showed him my card. He then tells me they don't accept that kind of insurance. After repeating the conversation the women and I had to him he went and talked to her (less than 5ft away from me) she tells him I must've misunderstood her because she told me that was with the AAA discount I have....I was NEVER asked about AAA and the man came back and apologized to me about 15 times for the miscommunication. I will never be going back to a lens crafters and plan on telling everyone I know what happened to me. Asking two different times and being lied to THEN blaming the patient because I "misunderstood". read more

So, I keep having conversations with medial personnel about how now that I am on my way to 40 (excuse me, I am still 2 months away from 36!) things are just basically falling apart. One of those things was apparently my eyes, because I am squinting something fierce and apparently shouldn't just "power through" my astigmatism any more. Well, I guess I could, but then I will get more forehead lines or something, and I don't have Botox coverage. Wth, aging? So, I went to my eye doctor and got a prescription. And then the wait was long and the selection was fairly limited to get glasses in the office, so I drove over to LensCrafters instead. While the overall strip mall it is located in has seen better days, this store is large and bright. Their selection was larger than my eye doctor's, and seemingly less expensive. I was helped immediately, and had my glasses back in 5 days. I was also offered a protection plan for $35 that covers the glasses for the cost of a copay ($25) should they break in the next year. They also offer that protection plan for children, which was not available for my child at another place, so we will be purchasing glasses for her to break...er, use carefully and deliberately, in the future. Overall, a solid experience with selection and staff. I was not seen by the eye doctor here, so I can't speak to that experience. But I will be shopping for glasses for myself and my children here in the future. read more
