In the grand scheme of all things medical, to be honest, I'm a terrible patient. I'm the guy who walks through the door and everyone cringes, 'Oh geesh, he's back again!' Why am I like this, well, it's because all of my life, at least to this terrible age of 50, I've had incredible vision. Glasses were for everyone else and never for me! Tempus fugit and the ol' ocular fairy conks me on the head. Wham! I need glasses. Dr. Mike and the gang were oh so patient with me, and by patient I'm talking building a Stradivarius patient, discovering a new element for the periodic table patient, I was a nightmare client, patient, experiment gone wrong, whatever, I was bad! Nothing was right, the new style lens were too difficult and confusing (at least for me), my poor little brain just couldn't grasp the concept of needing help with visual acuity. They never gave up on me, they were so extremely patient, they truly went out of their way to get me the pair of glasses that I'd be happy with. I picked them up today and kudos to Lenhardt Optometric, they're great. Thank you! Sure, I have to get used to wearing them, but you know, they're really nice looking. Not the Buddy Holly glasses that grandpa wore or the thick plastic coke bottles my wonderful account leers at me through. I think I'll survive this getting old thing, at least a few more years and I'll know who to visit when a new prescription is due Oh, they also made new glasses for my daughter and she loves them. Her old prescription was too strong (from another optician) and she would develop headaches after wearing them an hour or more. Now she's good to go and hopefully her GPA will reflect a positive change, proving that actually being able to see a chalk board is beneficial. read more

Dr. Mike does an excellent job of blending friendliness and professionalism in a way that made me feel both welcome in his office and confident in his expertise. Instead of growing impatient with my time-consuming prescription needs, he acted as if he appreciated the challenge. Dr. Mike has me seeing better than I have been able to see, in many years. He simply will not give up until he feels that he has the best possible correction for you. Now, I see things with crystal clarity and sharply defined edges. Amazing! In my case, extreme chemical sensitivities made dilation a nightmare for me, with my normal sight not returning for close to a week after being dilated, so I was very glad when Dr. Mike felt that he could get enough information, about my eyes, using his retinal photograph device, which does not involve chemical dilation, Another unexpected benefit, which resulted from going to Dr. Mike, was that his assistant, Desiree, discovered that I was, in fact, covered for eye care, under my husband's policy. It was only because of Desiree's persistence in researching our coverage, that we found out that i am also covered, and therefore, we were saved quite a bit of money. This is the most helpful and friendly doctor's office I have ever visited. I am definitely a customer for life! From my first phone call to the office, I was greeted by a very friendly employee who was patient and very accommodating. Then, during my appointment, the staff was welcoming and processed my information in a timely manner. Next, Dr. Lenhardt was so thorough and very knowledgeable about which contacts I should choose as I was in the market to switch brands. He also has a great sense of humor. So that I could ensure that I was selecting the brand that was right for me, they gave me samples of two brands to try. Following my purchases, I was having some trouble submitting eye exam documents to a third party company. And as I thought I was bugging Desiree (the sweetest person on the planet) she assured me that I was no bother and that she would take care of everything. Although she said this was part of her job, she went above and beyond to help me!! As I have been extremely busy at work and was having trouble trying to find the time to complete the submission of the documents, Desiree's help was a much-needed relief. I agree that "Dr. Mike" is "super cool" and very friendly and nice as is his staff. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 family members who went to him were unable to wear their glasses or experienced headaches while wearing them. We were told repeatedly to go back if our glasses didn't work for us. I went back once because my glasses were crooked and when I left they were still at an angle. I have to admit that we didn't pursue our difficulties; however we've been to many optometrists and this is our first experience like this. read more

Best experience ever!! I originally went to another optometrist place in the morning but wasn't satisfied with their frame selection for the price range I had. I remember finding this optometrist office on yelp, so I called with no appointment to see if I could come in to pick out frames and have my prescription done here. They were great at fitting me in with no appointment. Once I arrived, the staff was very welcoming/friendly. Inside was very clean, organized, cozy and had lots of frames to choose from. I was then helped by Anne to choose the right frame for me. Anne was amazing at helping me pick the right frame that complimented the shape of my face. She was very patient, kind and knowledgeable. She was even able to price match the amount I would of paid at the other optometrist place. Which was so great of her because it saved me time and hassle of looking around at other places. I found Lenhardt Optometric group through a Groupon deal over 2-3 years ago and I still plan to keep seeing Dr. Mike as my optometrist. It's pretty tough out there looking for an affordable optometrist that understands how hard it is for people to receive health benefits and I am truly grateful to have the office serve me with great patient service. The staff makes my visit always enjoyable. I love the whole staff there. Tanya and Desiree for always recognizing my voice and name over the phone and greeting me with happy voices. They are super silly! hahaha and Anne for always readjusting my frames because I always end of sleeping on them... They have a wide variety of frames so I try to avoid going into the office because I know I would end up picking out new frames when I have 3-5 pairs of glasses at home already! I yelped local optometrists in my area due me being unsatisfied with my previous one and this place had the best reviews. Let me tell you folks, the hype is real!! Dr. Igne did my eye exam and she was so professional and sweet. When it came time to choosing my frames, I worked with Anne. She gave me her honest opinion on what looked best on me and educated me on the different types of AR coatings. I'm normally super cheap and just get the basics, however due to my job I'm on the computer all day. Anne suggested a special blue AR coating that filters out harmful blue lights so I thought I'd give it a try. I received my glasses about a week and half later. Everything was great minus the blue coating. Due to me driving a lower/smaller car I catch all sorts of lights from other cars when driving at night. When headlights hit my glasses at certain angles it would create blue dots in my lenses that felt like a blind spot. After giving it almost a week I called the office back to see if I could get the blue coatings off. I spoke to Audrey and she was very empathetic. She called the lab for me and ordered replacement lenses without the blue AR coatings. About 2-3 days after my call my replacement lenses were ready. Anne assisted me again with replacing the lenses, she was so kind and even allowed me to come 10 mins before they closed. This office is awesome and delivers top notch customer service. I'm very particular about the care I get for any aspect of my health and don't rate 5 stars easily. But I have never had a better exam than with Dr Mike. So thorough, personable, patient and very caring without being annoying. I've never felt so knowledgable about my eye health, what a great feeling. The staff is also great and make sure you understand all the billing aspects to the best glasses fittings, etc. I also brought in my 4 yr old for her first eye exam and was more than pleased at how Dr Mike made it enjoyable for her, not scary at all. This was the best eye exam I've ever had in 30+ years of of wearing glasses. Mike was so helpful and friendly. I'd never been told that saying two lenses were indistinguishable was helpful. Great eye exam, lots of communication, state-of-the-art equipment, worked with my insurance, fabulous fashionable frames selection, and nice contacts information.
