This is a REAL review! We came in contact with Freddie several months ago to start a project in our backyard (PATIO COVER), our initial meetings were amazing and he saw our vision . After meeting with several contractors we decided to move frwd with Freddie. He explained that demo would take a week may be two and that our construction process would take up to 7 weeks. I did anticipate a delay because that can be expected with any project or renovation. We signed our agreement on 9/17/2017. The demo started right away and within a couple days people started to now show up, we were given excuses that seemed valid and considered the situation as normal. Days would go on with excuses and random workers would show up each day, typically a few new faces each day. After 4 weeks of DEMO still happening we became really concerned and would voice our options to Freddy and would get reassurance that the situation was handled and it wouldn't be much longer. One day I get a knock on the door from a worker telling me that they are going to start work on our backyard (giving me a courtesy knock), I saw something fall out of his pocket and noticed it was a white bag with powder in it. After the worker walked away I walked out and picked the bag up and immediately knew it was drugs), I called regarding the situation, he assured me it was under control and I knew he felt horrible and didn't have any words to explain that situation. We are now 4+ weeks into the project and DEMO isn't even close to completed. After that situation happened we only had one worker at our house each day for 2 weeks and on some days the backyard with empty and not a person in sight. Within a couple more weeks they seem to have a consistent crew over working on demo daily. Fast frwd to the day we are suppose to get our patio cover installed . The alumawood company comes over and is parked in the street for a hour waiting on someone so it seems to appear. I get a knock on the door from the delivery company asking me for a check , I explained he must have me mixed up with Freddie because I already gave Freddie the money for the Materials as that was part of a payment in our contract that I already fulfilled. After shutting the door I get another knock from Freddies partner Victor saying he has Freddie on the phone. I find out from Freddie that he already spent the money for another project in Chino and needed me to advance the Final payment to him in order to pay the installers. I was very upset but knew I was in a corner and had no other option to pay the installers. After a drive to the bank and back home to pay with a Money Order , the installers came to put up the cover. The installation company was amazing and had our over up in 2 days. NOW THE FINAL TOUCHES..... Freddie referred us to a BBQ company he used many time that had started on our build in BBQ after signing the contract with Freddies company, it arrives a week after the install of the Patio Cover, and is missing pieces , not what we ordered, cracked, broke and all the above. Once again another issue. Freddies partner Victor who I have not mentioned for a reason referred us to another BBQ company that ended up making a great BBQ build out and did a fantastic rush job. Victor is Freddies partner and to be honest really should have his own company. Victor stepped in and pretty much took over. Keep in mind Freddie would never show up to our house during critical times of the DEMO and INSTALL process. Victor spent the next several weeks putting the final touches on the patio cover, paint, speakers, plumbing, electrical and much more. We ended up getting fined by our HOA for going over the 120 mark that they required the work to be done by. Before all final touches were completed Freddie asked for the remaining balance of the final fee (the patio installers portion was 80% of the final fee) after the installers were already paid. 7 weeks turned into 16 weeks. This experience makes me never want to do remodel work on my house again. read more
