The staff at Corona Hardwood were absolutely amazing to work with. I'd had my eye on a particular flooring (Provenza Sweet Talker) for over a year and been back to look at it 3 different times. Two weeks ago I decided to go back in to purchase it, but wanted to be certain I liked the way it looked in my space. The associate was so kind and patient as I walked through a couple of other options. She allowed me to take some samples home with a deposit down, which was refundable if returned within the proper timeframe, and that made all the difference. I went back 2 days later to return the samples and purchase the material I initially fell in love with over a year ago. Upon arriving, they were in the middle of a team meeting, but quickly paused it to assist me with bringing the heavy samples back in and purchasing the materials I needed. On top of amazing customer service in-store, the delivery process was seamless and easy as well. Everyone who was there was very helpful and informative. It took me a while to choose floors for my house. It's such a big decision. I started with vinyl plank and Corona hardwood has lots of options. Sarah who worked there was very patient with me. I took tons of samples back and forth to home. And 3 months later still couldn't decide. Then changed my mind and decided to look at engineered wood. Again, it took a while and the team at Corona hardwood were so so patient. They went over each product, pros and cons of wood, thickness, oils, etc. They explained everything in great detail. I finally found a color and product I liked and at a great price. They even referred me to Sergio, who installed the floors beautifully. I'm super happy with my D&M floors, color Carmel. We spent a fortune on high end flooring at Corona Hardwood when remodeling our home. we have a living room that steps down therefore we needed several stair nose pieces. when our contractor went to install these trim pieces he found that the pieces they sold to us were 3 different widths! Corona hardwood promised to order new pieces for us and help install them but after many many phone calls and emails we are left with a very unsightly living room floor... as you can imagine this is horrifying considering the huge sum we spent on our flooring. to sum it up, we were sold a defective product, given the run around for several months, and eventually we were told that it wasn't their fault and that we were out of luck... buyer beware Updating this review to respond to corona hardwood's reply. Our contractor is licensed and has continued to do hundreds of thousands of dollars in work for my family and has always done excellent work. Yes my wife did cry historically when an employee came into our home and incorrectly claimed that the work done in our house was total crap. Do not do business with this firm. Several hours after placing an order for our house I was informed that our wood was not available in a single dye lot and they would send a sample of an alternative finish to our home to consider - as they agreed multiple dye lots were not recommended. When that alternative was not satisfactory I purchased other wood from a different vendor and notified Corona Hardwoods that I would like a refund of my deposit for the unfulfilled order. I was then notified by Ben the manager that my deposit was non-refundable because he could now (miraculously) find it from another vendor in San Diego - 20 minutes after I cancelled. When explained that I had already committed to another purchase (based upon their prior communication that it wasn't available he basically said too bad, I'm keeping your deposit. Having purchased wood from this store previously I was extraordinarily disappointed at his callousness, rudeness and lack of ethics. Horrible company with horrible leadership. Best Price - Low on Sympathy What could have been a great experience brought cloudy skies as Corona management only cared about my high dollar orders. When I needed help with the details to make my house complete it was not of concern to management as there was no money in it. Too bad! BLUF: Quick service however pointless when the product delivered cannot be used. I ordered standard sizing in a specific brand of Stairnose from Corona Hardwood, however their standard sizing is quite different from the rest of the Harwood Floor world. I can confidently say this because I spoke to 4 other vendors/distributors after receiving my order who also verified. I highly recommend that Corona Hardwood train their staff in knowledge of the product their attempting to sell, provide better communication in details of the product (don't assume, an easy phone call would have avoided all this), and really take a look at the "All Sales Are Final" approach especially when the problem stems from the the seller. Corona Hardwood didn't even budge when I attempted to resolve the issue. I wasn't asking for a refund, just for them to make the order in the correct sizing and maybe provide free shipping after I paid for the product in full. I definitely wouldn't conduct an online order from this company ever again. It just seems like all the honest companies are all slowly disappearing......very sad!!! read more

STAY AWAY! @CoronaHardwoods They were great during the sale but we are really disappointed in the way they are handling a return for a poorly designed product. Product just breaks too easily and the edges repeatedly snap off like crackers. I opened only 3 of 75 boxes, and they are charging me the full 25% restocking fee for a BAD PRODUCT. However, they would consider waiving the $1200 fee it I buy something else from them. (the manager told me it was the manufacturer Metroflor that charges the 25%. So now I don't belive them.) But the worse part is, instead of considering the product may be defective, they sent someone over that spent the entire time telling my contractor he didnt know what he was doing. That's insult to injury, and were not a bunch of idiots. My contractor is licensed and he's done 6 other houses for me and literally hundreds of high end homes. The returns manager had the same attitude and basically insulted us further saying its all our fault. Nice..... I dont care it you've sold hundreds of boxes of this stuff, THIS STUFF is not right, its substandard, and that's bad business and bad karma....... I'm not asking for special treatment but they certainly aren't on the side of the customer. @CoronaHardwood: See Steffen and Jay's reviews below of your company and then consider way you are treating customers. We chose this store specifically because of the good reviews and because the floor sales person emphasized the flexible policy of getting small increments in future and returns. This is not the case. We had a 10k order and the store will not take back extra flooring that is $250 dollars worth even though they still sell this material. I regret choosing this store. We also went to pick up material initially from the warehouse and only a portion of it was ready (it was all the way in city of industry) which delayed our installment. I cannot recommend. read more

I'm not sure where my contractor purchased our flooring in the end but I can say Corona Hardwood employees were excellent and always helpful when I was shopping to find a engineered hardwood flooring. They kept notes and checked out samples and were very very helpful. I do know their price was very competitive! I decided on Grand Pacific Oysters Pearl. I will post pictures of some of the boxed wood and how it looks installed as I had tons of trouble finding actual pictures of installed wood floors. One disappointment -the specs on corona hardwood website say this wood is random lengths 18"-72" in pieces. However the actual labels on the boxes say "up to 72". And inside there are only two lengths. Four boards that are 36" & the rest of box are "72. Not very random. So I'm hoping it won't look too patterned. This place is a joke. The owners responses are all out right lies in regards to how our account was handled. I am appalled and disgusted that he would lie but I guess not surprised. We were never given any of the options he stated below. They completely denied the return of the wood and said buyer be ware. We ordered our floors through them and they do not stand by there product quality control. We were pushed between them and Gallaher the distributor Corona uses. With each company not taking responsibility for there products faults. I would not use them as they do not take care of the customers. Only concern seems to be their bottom line. You can buy any floor they offer somewhere else for the same price and better service. Think twice about using them when you spend money on new floors. read more
