I can't tell you how many flooring stores I scoured before I found JR Flooring. I was feeling pretty defeated, but once I found this place, everything fell into place. I worked mostly with Yvette, but she was super helpful even after the 100th time of talking to me. The prices here are probably going to be the lowest you will find anywhere. They actually will price match any competitor, unlike the other stores in Miramar that say they would but "unfortunately are not able to" in the end. Tony and his install team have done 2 jobs for me now. My neighbor recommended them and they installed carpet upstairs about 5 years ago. The carpet that Tony recommended has held up well and the install is good- it looks the same as it did 5 years ago. I was very happy with their work and the price. I asked them back to do luxury vinyl plank downstairs last week and am again so pleased with their work! They finished the install in one long day. It was supposed to take 2 days but they asked if I'd like them to just stay longer to get it all done in one. I found J.R. Flooring Concepts by accident. I was heading to another store to look for wood floors, and saw their sign. I had previously been to many vendors looking for flooring. It was a happy accident that I discovered J.R. Flooring Concepts, since they don't do a lot of advertising. J.R. Flooring replaced my sixteen year old glued down maple flooring with engineered hickory flooring. The project was was for about 1,000 square feet of flooring in my kitchen, family room, hallways, entry, dining room and living room. The crew also replaced my baseboards. They came in after renovations were finished in my kitchen and before my painting crew. Tony and his employees are amazing. They worked efficiently with a great deal of attention to detail. They were respectful of my house, animals, and possessions and genuinely seemed to want me to be happy with the work that they performed. They were very flexible about scheduling the job, since we weren't sure when my kitchen renovations would actually be complete. They left my house clean each day, and were very prompt in the morning. My floors are absolutely gorgeous. One of my neighbors, who worked in the construction industry came to my house after the wood floors were installed. He guessed that I paid three times as much as I did for my floors because of the quality of the flooring and the artistry involved in the installation. I will definitely be back. Should be six stars. Things I love about Tony at J&R Flooring... 1) He really listens. I showed up 20 minutes before closing on a Friday. I had just found out that I needed new carpet in two bedrooms of a house I was listing for sale the following Monday. 2) He understands design, and he knows his product. I am an interior designer for very high end clients in L.A., and I was exhausted when I arrived at J&R. Frankly, I don't know much about products for projects with tight budgets, and being tired made me indecisive. He helped me pick out a great type / color of carpet for a good price. 3) He truly cares about customers. There was no time for him to go out to measure, and I didn't have a check with me for a deposit, but he trusted me, and finalized the order with the warehouse, just minutes before they closed. 4) Excellent installers. Cannot say enough good things about Tony and JR floors. I needed them because the hardwood floors in one room got completely ruined with moisture from the slab. The wood was discontinued, but we found some left over boxes at the factory and Tony helped me get them. Then his installer came out and scraped the wood up and all the glue, etc. The concrete was still wet underneath. Tony and the installer said we have to wait. And we did. They came back 4 different times (at no extra charge) to test the floors until it was finally dry enough. They just finished the install and replaced the baseboards, etc. and it looks great. Also, the installer had to sand and refinish a small section in another room that got sun damaged. It matches the rest of the floor perfectly. Tony is a very honest guy that knows his stuff, and his installers (actually 2 guys) are just great. I can't recommend them enough. read more
