I can't say enough good about Compare Carpets & Hardfloors. I wanted to replace flooring in our master bedroom which consisted of laminate and porcelain tile. I wanted all flooring to be laminate and had already selected the type of laminate I wanted to install. I decided to select Compare Carpets & Hardfloors and gave them the name of laminate. They are always friendly and often make great suggestions for what you might want/need. You can order from their showroom sample books or they also have a warehouse in the back with many carpet rolls if you need it fast. We have often found a carpet we liked a lot in the warehouse that was then scheduled to be installed within a few days. To top it off, their prices are reasonable. We purchased a house in September and had been talking to Mark for several weeks prior to our purchase to get pricing on floors we had seen in Anaheim. The price Mark was giving us was several dollars cheaper per square foot than we could find elsewhere. Mark was patient throughput our communication, as our floor installation start date kept getting pushed due to delays on our end. He was very flexible and supportive. Finally we were able to start installing 1800 square feet of walnut floors. Renee and Gabe were our installers. They were driving from far away, as we live in Banning, but were there early every day and put in a hards days work every day. They wore their masks, were polite and conscientious. We have had many other contractors in our home over the last several months but this team stands out. We have owned several homes and done several renovations and these guys know what they are doing and their prices are very competitive. We had our entire downstairs and the stairs done in November of 2019. I found it difficult to do a review immediately without *experiencing* our new floor. The porcelain tile planks (looks like wood) are gorgeous, as is the luxury vinyl planking on our stairs. Jay was an excellent estimator and contact through the whole process. Angel and Javier were our fantastic installers. They showed up daily (and even one Saturday!) when they said they would. They handled any (minor) issues immediately, quickly and efficiently. Taking just about 10 days to complete the project, they cleaned up everything at the end. All of them were patient while we were making our decision and answering our seemingly endless questions. I had no idea what was involved in removing carpet and installing hard flooring. It was fascinating to watch it happen. Give them a chance at your business! read more

Unfortunately the customer service is lacking at Compare Carpets in Norco and once we purchased the carpet we have had trouble communicating with Joel. I have called there 3 days in a row and no one calls me back. Joel seems to never be around. Our carpet 3 years later looks like crap. It is not the quality that was presented to us. We contracted with Compare Carpets to replace all the flooring in our new construction home - primarily wood flooring but also tile and carpet. I cannot say enough good things about them. It was a huge job and because we were working with several other contractors for other things in the house, the install dates kept having to be pushed on our end. I worked with Mike and he was very understanding throughout the process - even though I know having me continue to move dates must have been very frustrating! Mike was really accommodating, ordering me samples of tile and wood for me to take home. And, on top of all that, they were really affordable, coming in less than half of the crazy prices our builder wanted to install the exact same flooring. Now all this is great, but to me, the most important thing is the quality of the installation. Here is where I have never been more impressed with a flooring company. Every single installer was a true professional and seemed to really care about doing a quality job on our installation. We have had flooring done many times and I have never received this level of service from the installers. We had old carpet that the dogs used secretly (not so secretly) as their pee floor...yuck! the smell!! I talk to Rod in Norco and he suggested Vinyl flooring because it's doggie proof..the guy came over and put it in-was very professional and courteous. Best part? I caught one of my bad dogs peeing on the floor just on the surface and with one disinfectant wipe, it was all clean and fresh again!! they have a wide variety of flooring, many different composites of wood flooring or want to be wood flooring..but I was actually shopping for REAL hard wood flooring. Entered the shop, and was impressed with the variety of materials they have. Was greeted by a man and asked about wood flooring (my mistake) he took me to the engineered crap. I immediately realized my mistake and asked about real wood flooring to which he replied "we don't really work with real hard wood flooring here" I explained that my husband and I prefer real wood, this is for our home and asked if he could offer up ANY options for real wood? He walked me to a back office area and brought out a few pieces of real wood that were raw and unfinished. I explained that yes, that is what I was looking for and he said "it is very hard to install, they don't do it much, many people don't want to spend the money for real hard wood because of it's cost and he could direct me to another company down the road who would take good care of me". so I bailed, after saying thank you and scratching my head. Guess someone else will get my $ because REAL Hardwood flooring is what I want and what I am going to get. read more
