I originally hadn't even considered an aluminum patio cover, but after visiting their website I requested an estimate. Like any responsible homeowner, I also requested two other estimates. One company never responded, another clearly gave me the "we don't want the job" price, and then there was Mr. Patio Cover. Their sales rep, Hayden, came out to my home, assessed the space, and clearly explained the pricing and available options. He was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I also received detailed documentation that explained the entire process step by step, which I really appreciated. We signed in June and the permit was issued in November. While the wait felt long, the timeline was clearly outlined in the paperwork (up to six months), and the delay was due to the permitting process--not the company. Mr. Patio Cover kept me informed throughout and communicated consistently and clearly the entire time. By the way thank you to Laura, Noah, and Alex. Before installation, a crew came out to handle some minor demo work. Once the permit was issued, installation was quickly scheduled. Gregory and his crew were fantastic--professional, efficient, and fast. Mr. Patio Cover even handled scheduling the inspections for me, which made the process completely stress-free. The patio cover went up quickly and included electrical for lighting and a fan, which turned out great. The final result is beautiful, and I couldn't be happier. I responded to an IG advertisement to see if they would provide a budget price for a freestanding 16'x16' louvered patio cover. Unfortunately a home visit is required and they wouldn't accommodate email correspondence. We'll go with the less pushy vendor we liked. read more

The quality of their subcontractor was excellent. Their customer service is horrible. I would recommend spending a bit extra for better quality of customer service with a different vendor. Its interesting how the owner states he is focused on customer service yet its the worst experience I have had with a vendor. He wouldn't even take my call and when I asked to be transferred to their customer service department they (Laura) said they didn't have any. See attached picture of their response to my Yelp post. Mr. Patio Cover just finished install of a 36' X 10' patio cover that replaced the same on our forever home. The patio cover they replaced was a wall mounted 2"x2" lattice type, causing the back of our home to be dark and need to be replaced due to water damage regularly. It was replaced with a roof mount solid aluminum type that lets all kind of light into our home! The experience from Hayden our in-home sales-guy, to the three-man installer team led by Gregorio was incredible. I found them all to be professional, informative and well-versed in their craft. I made it clear I would be comparing three quotes regardless. Later that weekend, while busy preparing my son for prom, I received an unsolicited text message from Eric with a video link. Given my schedule, watching a video was not feasible, nor was it a communication method I had consented to. Following this, I informed them I no longer wished to proceed with their services. Despite this, I received another follow-up message, from Eric, an hour later, prompting me to block two of their numbers to prevent further contact. First of all, to all the previous clients who posted reviews about Mr. Patio Cover, "THANK YOU" for raising awareness of your experiences. I believe you and didn't even get to where you were and I'm very glad that I declined to continue based on your horrible experiences, and your reviews corrobarate this unprofessional business behavior. I called to request a quote after seeing the local ad last Saturday. While looking at reviews on Yelp & Google shortly thereafter, I was not pleased with the childish responses of the Owner, Eric Engle, who publicly displayed himself disrespectfully to many of the responses of unsatisfied customers with legitimate complaints. I didn't want to have to deal with a business or person who doesn't listen to others and seems to think the customer is always wrong. On Monday I answered a callback from Mr. Patio Cover and spoke to an assistant and decided that I did not want to pursue a business relation and wanted to cancel the quote after seeing the reviews. The assistant stated "No problem, I'll pass this on to the owner Eric". Within 10 minutes, I received a call from "Patio Owner" who identified himself as Eric of Mr. Patio Cover. I'm not sure why he had to call me back after I clearly instructed his assistant that I was declining a quote, but he was clearly agitated on the phone from what I discovered from the legitimacy of his written responses. I igonored him and took another call and later discovered a voicemail from Eric from a 2nd callback from his phone number. Eric stated in the message that he would try to call me later. About an 1.5 hours later, I discovered a missed call that came in from yet another different number and thought it was another patio company. I called back and it turns out that the Owner Eric Engle answered the phone and decided to call me back again a 3rd time to harass me because he was too egotistic about me declining a quote or desperate for my business. After a minute of his strange stalking behavior I told him that I did not want to have a business relation with him or his company and hung up again. Strange way to do business. I just had my patio installed and I am very happy with how it turned out. This company isn't like others where there isn't much information and then you figure things out after the fact. Mr Patio Cover gave me a stack of information to review and made sure I fully understood everything, even if i didn't really care to know. They insisted i review everything and I did. Fast forward to demolition day, everything went smooth and then fast forward again to install day, and it was seamless. Everything was done exactly as discussed, per specifications, and there was always someone communicating with me through the entire process. This really was much better than i ever expected. This is the second project our family has contracted with this patio cover company. I was impressed with the consistent follow up, timely communications, clear directions to and fro were followed without encountering any major problems. The project was well coordinated, completed in less than one month from start to finish. The office listened and respected that I wanted to review the design plan with the salesperson so there would be no misunderstandings before signing the contract. That took a second visit to my home. They accommodated my request without any objection. Every contact I made with their personnel from sales, office administrators, on site workers was professional and better than expected. They are well trained, knowledgeable, experienced, courteous. Following the messy teardown, the crew made sure the entire area was cleaned up properly, not leaving any nails nor screws on patio. Similarly after the new patio install, the work area was left spotless. Both work crews were so hardworking and conscientious they hardly took any breaks for rest nor meals.
