A few years in, still doing well. Don't have to worry about termites due to this being aluminum.
Russ and Deb provided exceptional service when I came on search of building a patio cover because of the brutal heat in So Cal. I was clueless what to do and they both walked me through the process with ease and comfort. The patio cover was installed with Kevin and his worker, both recommended by Russ. They arrived on time, were respectful and finished the patio in half a day. All parties were honest and I truly felt I was getting the best materials and services this market had to offer. One of the best service experiences from start to finish ever. I absolutely love the patio.
Payless Patio did a great job helping us select the style, beam ends and color for replacing our wood slate cover. The cost was very reasonable. Their recommendations of removal and of installation contractors were helped us meet our budget while getting talented people to complete our project. Our cover exceeded our expectations.
Debby and Russ are amazing to work with! I had been searching and getting multiple bids on Alumawood patio covers but wasn't ready for the price that came with it. When we were ready eight months later, the company we called couldn't honor the prices previously quoted since prices for materials went up. This led me to more searching, and I found "Payless Patio". Their bid came in thousands of dollars less, and I was able to get more specialties. I got a bigger cover and LED lights added. They were still the lowest quote compared to five other quotes. But yet, I still hesitated and got one more quote before finally signing my contract with Payless Patio. I was essentially buying a kit and paying a contractor they work with to install it. I was nervous that my measurements weren't correct or that I would order the wrong thing, but Russ walked me through every step of it. I even went back and forth with a few emails late one night and Russ said I could call him if I still had questions and he'd answer the phone. It was 9pm!! I would not have called, but I appreciated and got comfort in knowing how willingness he was to help. A day after signing my contract, I realized there was a different style I liked and emailed Russ. Even though they had told me they would be on vacation, Debby responded and said she could still accommodate the change!! I ended up not making the change but the customer service was impeccable . Kevin and his crew came to do the install and they were wonderful! Very nice and answered any questions I had. Very pleased with the entire experience. Would definitely recommend!
What more can be said, that hasn't been said already? Russ (Payless Patio) and his installer, Kevin Carlson hit it out of the park! Take a look at this beauty! (before and after) Russ is super easy to work with and his prices are the best. He is very responsive and answered any and all of my questions. The process was super easy. And the installer, Kevin Carlson was great too. Again, super easy to work with and responsive, flexible, and punctual. He's been doing this for years and it shows! The installation went like clockwork. His team knows their stuff and knocked out the install in around 6 hours. I'm super happy with the outcome and having a patio covering again! Don't go anywhere else. Every other bid was thousands more!
i'm the kind of person that usually gets at least three quotes before having a service done. When I was reading the reviews for Payless Patio they were so good. I thought I would try them first. I called Debby on the phone and she was so helpful and answered all my questions and I did not feel pressured at all. My wife and I met with Debby and Russ and after our appointment I felt so good about it. I did not bother getting any other quotes. three weeks later our patio covered is installed and I could not be happier with the service and the price. In this day in age, it is so hard to find companies that provide great customer service and a great product. I would also like to thank Kevin and his crew who installed our Beautiful patio cover
From the very first phone call through final installation, Debby and Russ were a pleasure to work with. They have done so many of these covers, they could do the design work over the phone. They made it EASY and fun! Kevin, Charlie and Desi were great with the installation. My husband remarked, "It was like watching a skilled surgical team at work. They worked with precision and very few words. It was a pleasure to observe them". The entire cover was installed in one morning!! I have already recommended Payless Patio to several people.
I came across Payless Patio after already receiving several quotes. I messaged Debby on an early Sunday morning and received a response within the hour. We spoke on the phone about different options including LED lights and an outlet, gave her the dimensions, and received a quote before hanging up. It was convenient not having to set up an in person appointment and they had the most competitive price overall (significantly less than other companies). Signed the contract and sent over my payment to order the material. Two weeks later, Kevin and his crew arrived on time for the install appointment and finished by 2:30pm! They did a beautiful job and I am so happy with our patio! It was such a pleasure to work with Debby, fast communication and amazing customer service from start to finish. Highly recommend Payless Patio!
We are so happy we found Payless patio! We had our 16'x41' Alumawood patio cover installed yesterday and we could not be happier! We found Russ & Debby to be honest, nice people, they had by far the best pricing, and very responsive to our questions. Kevin & his team installed it, they were punctual, professional and it was visible to us that they are pros at what they do!
First, Debby and Russ are the nicest people I've met in a very long time. Every single interaction was pleasant and they were both extremely helpful when it came to obtaining the look I was going for. As far as the patio itself, OMG it's gorgeous! The crew showed up at the expected time and was done installing before dusk. I'm extremely happy with the lighting and I thank Debby for convincing me that 8 lights would be best on such a large patio. Overall, the entire experience was great and the price is unmatched for such amazing quality and such a professional installation crew. Shouts out to Kevin Carlson and his team! Thank you again Debby and Russ! You have truly transformed our backyard into a place I now have to kick my neighbors out of! Lol
Russ and Debby, thank you guys so much! The 2 of you went above and beyond to help bring my patio cover to life! I talked to many different vendors and contractors regarding the alumawood cover, and it wasn't till I talked to you 2 that I was convinced to go this route. You were honest and forthcoming about this product regarding all the options and features. I knew exactly what I was getting with you. I purchased a DIY kit, solid alumawood patio cover from payless patio. I had researched and priced this cover all over southern California and had initially decided to go with payless patio because they were amongst the best priced I had found. The level of service i received from them tho was something i hadn't bargained for. They didn't try to pressure me into a different and more expensive cover, or sell me any feature I wasn't interested in. They explained everything I needed to do in detail and made the purchasing process nice and easy, was all completely done online and over the phone. They provided emails with installation instructions and all the details. I know why Russ and Debby have been in business together so long now. The service they provide is very rare anymore. When there was an issue with the warehouse being closed on the day I was suppose to pickup my patio cover, Russ went over to the warehouse to pick it up for me. Debby knew I had plans on installing it the next day, and together they made sure I had the cover ready to do just that. Russ went over all the parts and pieces with me and allowed me to call him during the installation process for help. Not only did he walk me thru the entire installation, but he never once let my call go to voicemail and never once complained that I called him too much. Excellent and professional service! Thanks again Russ and Debby.
Russ and company have done it again. This is the second patio cover I have bought from Russ and I am just as happy with this new cover as I was with the one at previous home. This is the place to buy your patio covers people! Kevin, the installer did an exceptional job with the install. Super happy!
Over 4 months ago, Russ and Debby helped us install our amazing patio cover and we are still VERY pleased with it! We remodeled the backyard but it felt incomplete until the cover was installed. And since then, it has made such a huge difference in the appeal. There's also so much more utility now that there's shade, fans to keep cool and keep the bugs away, and electrical to add lighting. In thinking back to the process, it was seamless! Russ and Debby are a good team...Russ helped us through the steps to ensure we got the right measurements down and was always quick to respond to questions or calls. After we ironed out the details, he drew up a contract, we paid for material and he placed the order. Not too long after, we got word that the product was in and Debby quickly got us booked for an install by Kevin and team. The guys installed professionally and were very clean. Russ and Debby checked in afterwards and we've been enjoying it ever since! If you're looking for a cover, don't bother getting the obligatory 2-3 bids - we've done that for you already and can confidently state that you won't find a better value than what you get with Payless Patio Covers!

Best bang for your buck--no question! Not only are the prices incredibly reasonable, but the customer service and quality of work are truly exceptional. We worked closely with Debby through multiple calls to sort through quotes and bring our dream patio to life, and she was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make it happen--even taking calls and helping us finalize everything while she was on vacation! That level of dedication is rare. From initial outreach to materials to full installation, the entire process took just 3-4 weeks... wow. And the install itself? Done in ONE day. The contractor was efficient, professional, and left our backyard spotless like they were never even there. We are beyond impressed--not just with how smooth the process was, but with the final product. The patio is sturdy, functional, and looks incredible. It completely transformed our space. We're already excited to enjoy the energy savings this summer and can't wait to start hosting in our new backyard setup. Highly, highly recommend! read more

Debbie and Russ are very friendly and easy to talk to. They answered all of our questions. Their knowledge, experience, and helpfulness make the process very easy. We received quotes from a few different companies, but Payless Patio was very reasonably priced, and they made us feel comfortable about the whole process and gave us such a good vibe, we decided on them. Kevin, the contractor who installed, is also very professional, and he and his crew did an amazing, fast job. Highly recommend them for your patio needs! read more

From the first point of contact all the way to when the Patio was completed (& beyond!)....nothing but excellence from this company! We had several quotes prior to finding Payless Patio and they were by far the best quote! I mean 3-5K less the others and the communication was A+ throughout the entire process. I am so happy with my patio cover that I will refer them to everyone of my friends that need one (or an upgrade!). The initial process was so thorough and they were so professional.....also the reviews spoke for themselves! Take it from me that you won't be disappointed by Kevin & his crew, Russ or Debby...nothing but awesomeness from beginning to end! The pics speak for their work!!! read more

About a year ago, I starting "attempting" to build a patio cover for my home out of wood. This was after meeting with a local company that does aluminum patio covers. After meeting with them, I said to myself... "I can do this myself but I will make it out of wood". One year later, the cover never got finished and I had found that, No, I could not do it myself!!! With that, I then began researching aluminum "DIY" patio cover kits. I immediately came across Payless Patio and Russ. I submitted an online request for a quote utilizing his recommended methods and materials. Within 1 hour, I had received a response from Russ with a basic price recommendation for what I was looking to do. I had a lot of questions and even for a short period of time considered replacing an existing gazebo we had in our back yard utilizing the Alumawood material. The entire time, whether we were corresponding via email, text messages or phone calls, Russ was always there to answer my questions and provide me with the information that I was looking for in a quick and very helpful manner. Even though I was looking for a DIY kit, Russ never made me feel like I should be using a professional to do my job and was very supportive of assisting me with anything I needed to know to complete my DIY job with 100% success. Russ was also helpful in assisting me to determine the correct footing required for a free standing post that was required for my installation that I discovered during my layout process. When I finally settled upon the final product for my project, Russ was very quick at getting me the required contracts and purchase order in hand so that my order could be placed. Once the paperwork was completed, my order was submitted that same day to the factory... and this was even while he was travelling out of town for the weekend!!! I could not be more happy with the process leading up to my purchase and after completing the installation (which by the way is EXTREMELY simple using the instructions provided by Russ) with my new Alumawood patio cover. Even though it is a DIY kit... it looks completely professional and I have already received MANY compliments on it. Everyone that has seen it thinks that it was professionally installed. I could not have accomplished this without the great assistance of Russ and Payless Patio. If you are even remotely considering a DIY patio cover, you MUST talk to Russ first. He is first class and a real stand up guy if you need some help in getting started. read more

Amazing people to deal with, so helpful and so honest I had price several other companies that you see on line and even on yelp but I tell you all, do yourselves the biggest financial favor, call this company Other companies price for Alumiwood was $12,000 plus, one was as high as $18,000 I called Russ at Payless who gave me a price of $2200 plus $1000 install. I thought he had it wrong but when he emailed me the quote, it was exactly the same details. We ended up adding insulation, electrical and Russ helped us now make it architectural pleasing. Wow what a wonderful experience we have had designing and building our cover read more

The team at Payless Patio is one of the best. They delivered the project on time. I chose their services because of the work they did in one of my friend house. Payless Patio has a great working process : provide the measurement of the patio, send picture via email and get a phone call to get the quote and establish a timeline to deliver the project. It was great to work with the Payless patio team in deciding our design and the installation crew were efficient and did a great job. We are very happy with the results and feel we got a quality product and workmanship at a very fair price. read more

I am beyond thankful to Payless Patio for my new patio cover. I called and spoke to Debbie who directed me to their website. I gave her the measurements over the phone, selected the style that I wanted and she called me back within 15 minutes for a quote! We agreed on the price (much more reasonable than I had expected) and ordered my patio that same day. They came in to install it sooner than originally expected and were done in just a few hours. I cannot express just how happy I am with my new patio cover! Thanks Payless Patio! read more

Payless Patio is by far the best and affordable price for Amerimax Alumawood! They are Amerimax authorized dealer and the lowest price. Before Payless Patio other local businesses were quoting me $6,000 to $10,000 for a 12X35 Solid with 6 LED lighting. Then I called Payless Patio and Russ Clark gave me a quote for $3,800 installed 12X35 Solid with 6 LED lights. I was sold! Why the big price difference you ask? Because they are PAYLESS PATIO...literally you pay less! Kevin Carlson came and installed our patio cover with the help of his buddy, Charlie. They both did a great job! Very professional and precise! If you are in the market for Alumawood patio cover, give Payless Patio a call and I promise you will not be disappointed. read more
