Terrific food, not greasy. It's become an annual tradition to order it as take out every Christmas. They have a large variety of Asian foods. My favorites are their beef lo mein, chicken cashew with green as red peppers, Singapore noodles, beef teriyaki sticks. Enjoy! read more

I've been going to this place since they opened years ago . Food & service were always great . Food is still good but service was awful on New Year's Eve . Bartender " Lee" is the worst person that I've ever encountered in a restaurant. At 9:40pm Lee Ignored me & my gf as we were standing at bar in front of two open seats ( she put two empty wine glasses & a brown bag full fortune cookies ) kitchen closes at 10pm we were told by the ladies working take out . I finally asked Lee " can you take care of us ?" She yelled " fine , as she grabbed two menus & slammed them down in front of us . Mind you the bar was full & many people were eating & drinking . So we never sat down we just told her how awful she was & we left . Then I went back in to speak to a manager , I told Lee to show her manager how she gave us menus & she slammed menus down in front of her manager. Then she told me " to go do another line " I said first of all , I ( we) do not do any drugs & I don't know this miserable bartender Lee from a hole in the wall . We are regular customers, who tip very well & are quick . I'm Beyond disgusted with this bartender Lee's attitude. read more

As we were sitting down the host told us the Sushi was the best in all of Warwick. I tried it. The very first bite had bones in it and pierced right into my gums. I told the waitress and she told be it was probably something crunchy. I handed her the bone and did not finished my food. I was fully charged. An hour later I was in the bathroom throwing up. Never again Lemonass. read more

Love Lemongrass! Crispy Thai chicken wings, great sushi and shrimp fried rice! Everything is always fresh and tastes amazing!

Lemongrass is always my go to and sometimes it is spot on and other times it is a miss. This most recent visit let me down some because I know how good it can be. The crispy wings lacked flavor and this is one of those items that keep me coming back. Sometimes they are encrusted with this salty goodness and this order seemed to lack seasoning. They were still good, but I was still a bit disappointed in them. I also got a wonton soup which is served with pea pods and green onion... both soooo delicious in that broth. Finally, I got the sizzling plate. It was so hot that I could hear it sizzling from across the restaurant. It was absolutely delicious however it was 80% onions and barely any meat. A bit of a let down since the proportions were so off. To wash it all down, we both got a Thai iced tea.. it took an exceptionally long time to get since she said they had to brew it fresh. It came with cream and simple syrup on the side which was unusual since normally it comes all mixed together for you. Once it was fixed to my liking it was delicious! Hit or miss on the level of deliciousness but compared to many others, this place keeps me coming back. read more

Upon a recent visit, service was nonexistent. All of the other tables had a flurry of activity, but our waitress was MIA. When the food was finally delivered, the nime chow had an old rank flavor, and my dining companion got sick later that night. I understand that places can have an off night, but this was fairly awful. read more

First time AMAZING sushi. Perfect pricing and taste fresh. Larger portions than most of the fancy places and I think the sushi is better here. Even though I didn't know it was a sushi restaurant considering the name lol it will be a frequent stop. Oh and the mai Tai is quite delicious as well! read more

Always great- whether it's sushi, traditional Chinese, or Thai food. Never have to wait on our takeout order. It's become our go-to spot. Parking can be tight but worth the circling of the lot. read more

Lemongrass is the first good Asian cuisine I've had in this state. It's fresh and the wide range of options makes it so approachable. I came on Christmas day, not expecting a lot because I have not been impressed with east coast Asian food thus far. Not only was their food amazing, but the fact that your staff was so sweet and amazing even on a crazy busy day will have me coming back, I literally want it again for lunch today but sadly I have no leftovers! read more

Lemongrass has been slipping the last two times we have been there. The food was not on par for years past and the service was just ok.

If you are looking for great drinks, friendly and attentive service, crispy clean and pristine dining experience, sit at the bar if u can find a seat. Couple of TVs, always w the games on. The food is served quick, hot, and fresh. The kitchen puts out a solid consistent American-Chinese fair, that will be someone's "remember how good that food was", food if they ever move away from here. read more

Usually I love this restaurant. We ordered pad Thai , fried rice , general Taos combination and chicken and broccoli . Which were all OK. Not super great like it usually is. The game changer was the spider crab roll. This is a cooked roll, it smelled like low tide. It was as if they used crab that was sitting around before they closed before COVID . Won't be ordering sushi or Chinese from anywhere for awhile. read more

The service was wonderful and the food was great! However, they have this new robot that sits at the hostess stand. They put your menus in it and the robot brings you to your table. I would much prefer a human to do it and not have this machine take any jobs away. read more

Great Asian food! Huge menu with Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese options. Everything I've had here has been fantastic!

Very disappointed! I ordered dinner from a waitress then it was delivered by a robot. The meal on the dumb bot's tray was incorrect so I had to wait ten minutes to get a real waitress to fix my order. When I was leaving the restaurant the annoying robot came out of nowhere from behind. I almost slipped and fell because of the stupid thing. The people at the three tables near me were upset about the stupid robot delivering the food too. I usually order take out from this place 2-4 times a week but will not be returning. I did not go out to eat to interact with robots! read more

I feel really stupid. How many times have I passed Lemongrass without stepping foot inside? Far too many. But hurrah! That has now been corrected with a vengeance. We chose Lemongrass for our 13th anniversary dinner last night. It was HOT, I was not cooking, and we didn't want to drive very far. What to do? Well, of course I'm going to rely on my fellow Yelpers! Thanks to y'all, we had a marvelous dinner. First the boring details (aka...not the food). Lemongrass is located on Post Road adjacent to a small strip plaza and across the street from Cosmic. Parking is good and we were seated immediately by a very friendly hostess who turned out to be our server. Our booth was in the front, right next to the waitress station, but this was the quietest station I've ever seen, so no stress there. Decor is not typical "Chinese", in fact the prints on the walls almost looked...Italian? Anyway...it's soothing, low-key and welcoming. Now on to the really great stuff - food! We started with totally cheesy drinks - 2 Mai Tai's which were good. They came all decked out in classy cups with a half-naked lady embossed on the side and umbrellas up on top - yay! Next on to sushi. Now, I'm a wimp regarding sushi. I don't do raw. So California Rolls as usual and hubby got something he liked (I don't remember - he said it was good!). Mine was prepared correctly and came with all the usual accompaniments. Having skipped lunch, I basically inhaled mine...yummm. I was in the mood to try something a little different for my main dish. And I'm not afraid to ask questions! Our server definitely knew her stuff and pointed me in the right direction. My final selection (and it was tough - lots of great sounding options) was the Vietnamese Bee Bong with chicken. OMG (yes...I really did just use the dreaded "omg"!) this dish is so ridiculously delicious....light with lots of veggies and rice noodles. A peanut sauce is served on the side - be sure to add that in. The portion is more than enough for 2 meals. Hubby had the cashew chicken which also was very good. Mildly irksome was that rice has to be ordered separately. But the prices are so reasonable, I can forgive that easily. Lemongrass, you've caused me to write a gushing review. Are you happy? I am! read more

Just tired Lemongrass for the first time. Unfortunately I will definitely not be dining there again. First, I should clarify, I ordered take-out, so this review is not applicable to the restaurant itself, just the quality of the food. I ordered Chicken fingers, Unakyu Roll, and a salmon roll. Worst sushi I have ever eaten in my entire life. Seriously, Stop & Shop has better sushi than this place, it amazes me that they charge money for this garbage. That said, if I really had to assess the quality of Lemon Grass' food, I would say it's like Chinese fast food--low quality, mediocre taste, and temperature of the food was all wrong. The sushi was luke-warm and felt like it was sitting on a counter top for hours, had to throw most of it out. The chicken was soggy and tasted chewy (frozen chicken anyone?) If there was any suggestion I could give, DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE, THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE. read more

Lemongrass, how I love thee. If you have not been to Lemongrass, you are missing out my friend. I can't believe that after living in the area for almost 3 years, I have only just discovered this amazing place. In conversations with the amazing and super friendly staff I have learned this restaurant keeps expanding - which has to tell you something about the food. An order of the nime chow and chicken pad thai and I was completely sold. Top notch nime chow, some of the best I've had in the state. Rolled nicely with fresh sprouts, shrimp and basil. Top with the yummy peanut sauce and you are good to go. I seriously could eat an order by myself, but there is enough to share! Pad thai, again amazing! fresh, warm chicken, noodles, cabbage - just so good. Perfect portion, you will most likely have leftovers which will be delicious the next day. On a liquid note, the scorpion bowls are delicious! Pack a nice punch with nice fruity flavors. You just may find yourself at the bottom of bowl number 2 by evenings end. read more

I'm a little stunned at all the reviews raving about the Pad Thai here. I don't know what exactly I got but it was defiitely not Pad Thai. Not even close. It was more like some of the Vietnamese noodle dishes I've had, where the noodles come out and there's a separate bowl of sauce (that wasn't very pad-thai-tasting either) that you pour over the dish. And to add insult to injury, it didn't even come close taste-wise. You could tell from the color of the sauce that they used absolutely zero tamarind, which is one of the four key ingredients. Ditto for the fish sauce. Just.... no. Wrong, so very wrong. Based on a photo posted here by someone else, I wonder if maybe they just brought me the wrong dish. It was seriously that far out of the taste-universe even though everything else looked right. Although.... add a tiny little bowl to the picture posted here and that's what we got, so who knows. And even if that is the case? They went double-down on the mistake, because another person in our group ordered it as well and got the same not-pad-thai thing that I did. The service was fine, the interior was surprisingly pleasant considering it's in a strip mall, and everything appeared to be really clean. But... it's a restaurant. A restaurant's main job is to provide food, and frankly? My food was seriously not good. There were some other things on the menu that our party ordered that were reportedly really good (the wings, for example) but man. I can't get past the Pad Thai travesty. So sad, because normally I love it so.... :( read more

I don't post reviews unless I'm extremely pleased or extremely pissed. I came here tonight to celebrate my father's birthday. The food was great but the dessert was terrible. I had the chocolate cake which tasted a year old and was as dry as cardboard. The main reasons why I'm even spending my time on this is because: 1. It was my father's birthday 2. Our server (older Asian woman who spoke little English) was very unfriendly and rushed us the entire time. She even had the audacity to stand at the corner of our table and watch us finish. She pretended to smile and said, "Sorry, we're really busy tonight." 3. We had a party of 2 adults and 1 child! How hard could we have worked her? Our bill was over $100!!! She received an 18% gratuity!!! How rude!? We were not eating there for free or begging to eat there to be treated with such disrespect. I have NEVER been so pissed off at a server in my entire life! My poor dad didn't even finish his damn drink!!! read more

I'm a huge fan of Thai food and have not found a place that can recreate the flavors from Bangkok anywhere else in this state. Fans of Tom Yam soup extra-spicy will LOVE this place! Inside is nothing fancy : the staff is incredibly friendly, the food is fresh, and you'll never find an empty spot in front of the restaurant. They boast a menu full of a variety of asian dishes, at a very reasonable cost. Definitely worth taking a detour ... you'd never know it by the location :) read more

When they first opened it was very good, over the years they have gone down hill. Last night, we got take out from there, boneless spareribs combo. absolutely horrendous, they gave me about 10 small pieces of boneless rib, mostly fat, enough rice for an army. we are regulars at Han Palace, that will continue. never again step foot inside lemongrass. read more

ALERT this is not Thai food, precooked MSG loaded and tasteless. I have been here multiple time and every time was a horrible experience. I know a lot of people in the area who love this place..and they also don't know a thing about Thai food and what it's supposed to smell and taste like. I ordered dishes with chicken and always short changed with small dried little pieces over doused with glaze or batter. I asked for a glass of water I got tap water. You can taste the pipes. I needed something to wash down the over battered dried chicken. I did try this place multiple times before I gave this review. I don't eat sushi so I have no idea about that. If you like Crab Rangoon don't bother here. It is very small portion pocket then a lot of dough. Wasn't good blahh never again. I will say yes it is nice inside and some of the waitstaff is very nice. This place is a joke.. read more

Lemongrass is a catch-all asian restaurant "specializing" in thai, japanese (sushi), and chinese food. Having tried the two former in one sitting, I feel that Lemongrass has strengths, and let's call them opportunities for improvement [a throw back to my years in management]. STRENGTH (4.5*): *Thai food - we ordered the nime chow (can the thai claim this appetizer found in the 'thai' section of the menu?). It arrived abundantly in two thick rolls with bowl-licking sauce. Seriously, there wasn't enough of the delicious nuoc mam juice served with crushed peanut topping to go around. Then, we ordered the pad thai with beef and believe me, it's big enough to share. Again with the sauces - delicious - and the beef was juicy and tasted ever fresh. The thai iced tea is a steal at $1.95, but I found it funny (or good hosting) that they bring you the cream and simple syrup for you to mix to desired consistency on your own. Now for the OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT (2*): *Sushi - Ehh is all I can muster. We ordered regular rolls and special rolls and I'm sorry to report that there's nothing special about the special rolls. At double the price with just two additional pieces, you're better off saving the cash and seriously considering doing sushi someplace else like my beloved Sakura. The fish itself lacked taste and a knowledgeable sushi chef - the rolls just didn't seem to be crafted with love or flavor. NEED MORE INTERACTION WITH BEFORE COMMENTING: *Cocktails - all of which are very resonably priced between $5.95-$6.95. *Chinese food - it might be awhile since my last bout of food poisoning from a hole in the wall in 2004. Would be a 3.5 but since they have cheap cocktails, I'm tipped in favor of the 4* rating. read more

I've been going for years. They have become quite busy. You might have to wait for a table or a seat at the bar in the evening. They seem to be having a rollicking good time in there. Nice people, and the food is good. Jackie the bartender is an angel. There are many, many new faces since the remodel. Some of the new waitstaff need breaking in. The last time I was there, my table was not set, and a young waiter poured tea, from an over filled pot, on my lap! If it was my first time there, I'd walk away with a poor impression but I know otherwise. The owner and his son are also good people. One will probably come by to check on your meal. They put a great deal into the remodel. I tease them that it looks like Jack's Galaxy with the acrylic columns at the bar and flashing lights and dry ice smoke in the sushi! I eat a couple Norwood rolls which are tuna and salmon to start off most of the time. Maki and sushi portions are generous. They have recently raised their prices though. Buggers! My beloved Norwood rolls too. I order a few dishes over and over; Rice noodle soup with beef. Throw in all the herbs and bean sprouts. Cantonese noodles with Chinese broccoli. I get chicken or shrimp. Lots of vegetables and wide noodles. Beef and broccoli, usually as a combo. Crispy pork served in a dark sweet sauce that is strangely addictive. Lemongrass chicken wings. They taste like chunky peanut butter and herbs. Also strangely addictive and very popular. Pad Thai, chicken or shrimp. Food is reasonably priced and I go a lot for the lunch combos. You get nice extras like soup and chicken wings. To be critical for a minute, I miss the pickled vegetables they used to put on the tables. It was mostly cabbage but it was sour and spicy and went well with that first beer. Aside from that, I think they do a good job. read more

Great place for that Asian food fix that comes upon me, often. The sushi is good, lunch specials with the usual fried rice and soup choice.. but the best ever is the crispy fish. It only comes as an entree but it's well worth it. You'll eat almost all of it guaranteed. Try the Thai Iced Tea too. Thumbs up. read more

As I age, I try to be a bit more adventurous in terms of cuisine. Hence, I have successfully made the transition from the basic, greasy spoon Cantonese menus of the likes of the Islander. Han Palace and Jade Dragon (Warwick take out options) to Thai. Seven Moons is too far to drive for take out... otherwise I would do so three nights a week.. so I had to find an acceptable alternative in Warwick proper. Lemongrass is the answer. Food is excellent, price fair but not cheap. They have smartly added a new bar (and sushi station) so I can pound a couple while I wait. These additions transform a rather bland, strip mall location into a comfortable dine-in option. But who's kidding whom, God made Asian food to take out... and Lemongrass is the best within shot for anyone in the Warwick, Cranston area. On a par with Jackie's Galaxy and you can get it home while its still hot. Recommended. read more

I've eaten here a few times--once dine-in and a couple times takeout of vegetable lo mein. Their service is exemplary and the food is higher quality compared to other Asian/Chinese restaurants. Their vegetable lo mein is one of the best tasting that I've had, and it includes a decent amount of vegetables. I'm giving Lemongrass 4 stars rather than 5 because the portion sizes don't compare to other standout Asian restaurants, like Aspara in Providence. read more

Food is AWESOME! Im a gluten free girl so to have this many GF options for Chinese food I can rarely eat --Beer Teryaki!! Is a super treat!! Place was jammed...I sat at the bar (Tanya was my bartender-Super friendly) and just watched people come and go. Customer after customer shook the owners hand or joked with the takeout counter going in and out--people chatted with the bartender and waiters. This might be the happiest bunch of restaurant people Ive ever encountered. As a Talent Development Professional, I know that the nucleus of a business is the talent. So many companies focus more on customers than employees as such, employees are miserable and ultimately so will be the customers...But when you model what this owner does and clearly make your employees happy, your customers will be happy too!! read more

This is a pretty good Asian American restaurant. In some ways, I think it's the Warwick version of North Kingstown Seven Moons. A massive menu- seriously massive. There's Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine available. The place was packed. There was a line of people to the door waiting to order or pick up their take out orders. The bar was almost completely full. Yet, we only waited about 5 minutes for a table (even though we were not sure where the host/hostess station was located- kind of a confusing layout). It's nicely decorated and quite clean. Highlights from our dinner: lemon grass chicken, nime chow, beef bee bong, and crab rangoons. Is it the most authentic food? No. Is it good? Yes. Is it better than a lot of other places around town? Yes. Would I go back? Possibly, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to Asian cuisine. read more

If you like pan fried dumplings, get in your car right now and drive there. They make THE BEST in the state. The owner says they hand make them on site and it shows. The sauce served with them is a little vinegary and a little sweet - perfect. Last time I went there I ordered 2 plates of dumplings and nothing else, they are that good. The sweet crispy pork is really good too. The lunch combos during the week include a cup of soup and a couple chicken wings, a very good value. One of my favorites! read more

Lemongrass - Bar in front waiting area...cool place to hang when waiting for a table - Thai Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

Oh Lemongrass, how I love you! My dad and I have been coming here for years, and we've never been disappointed. Ever. Seriously though, I've tried practically the entire menu and I can't think of anything that wasn't pleasing to my palate. This isn't your typical greasy take-out Chinese place. It's actually good food that you won't regret eating the next day. I'd highly recommend the nime chow as an appetizer, and ask for some chili paste if you like to spice things up. The crispy chicken wings are crispy as promised, and if you're in the mood for some delicious, cold-healing soup go with the hot and sour Vietnamese soup. It's complete with pineapple, bits of chicken, ginger, lemongrass, tomatoes, and hot peppers. The orange flavored chicken is always good too. Now on to the real stuff: sushi Their sushi is always fresh and really some of the best sushi I've had. They just redid the whole restaurant and it's quite nice, and they put in a great sushi bar. The 'sexy lady roll' is a favorite. It's creative and super tasty! The 'hot stuff roll" is also really delicious. The wait staff are always so pleasant and wonderful. An awesome place you must go to!! read more

Best Asian restaurant in Warwick! I had a little bit of everything; Cantonese, sushi, Thai... I love to go here with friends because everyone can get what they'd like from the most exotic eater to the pickiest. It is also great if you yourself can not decide what to get. I usually get a sushi roll as an appetizer and Pad Thai for an entree. Where else can you go to get both dishes in one meal and have them both be delicious? The decor is beautiful and they seem to always be making upgrades. They have two sitting areas with beautiful table tops and a small bar. There are beautiful paintings on the wall, statues and plants placed about the restaurant and vines hanging from the ceiling. The prices are fair and they have the best nime chow I've ever had. My only complaint is that the last time I went there for dinner my waitress barely spoke English and I could not understand a word she was saying. A gentleman came to take our order but any time she came to check on us I could only figure out what she was trying to ask by her gestures. However, that is the only time I have had an experience like that and she was very friendly. read more
