My crew loves Raku Sakura, I generally always order for takeout or delivery, but the inside is nice as well. As others have said the parking lot is tight, but generally finding parking is not an issue. We love the lobster hibachi and that is definitely our go to. Also like the duck roll appetizer and the sushi is always tasty as well. Raku Sakura will continue to be a spot in our rotation! read more

Haven't been here in a while. Learned they got rid of the 30% off sushi and adjusted the prices. Fast service, friendly and I got my rolls in a timely manner. It's just a little too dark in there during the afternoon. read more

Raku Sakura - 25. King Roll, eel & avocado and spicy salmon roll - Japanese Near Me - East Greenwich, Rhode Island

This review is from my experience on NYE! Raku is the best sushi--always. Lychee martini is STRONG. Heck yeah! The calamari is plain breaded, but VERY tender... so good with the spicy mayonnaise! We also had eel avocado roll to start, not pictured. Between myself and 2 others, the spread pictured was MORE than enough. I love the spicy bad girl roll & the sexy girl roll, lol. Hibachi vegetables with yum yum sauce to dip, are always a must!!! read more

We were in the area after a show and looking for something for dinner. Walked by and was excited to try Raku Sakura. Had my children with me so I really loved that there was a kids meal and that they came out first and fast. The staff was good, checked in on us enough but also gave us space to eat. The kids got the hibachi and it was a great portion size for them. Started with the Kani salad and it was delicious, a little more spicy than I was anticipating. The sushi rolls we got were fresh and tasty! If you are in town stop in! read more

The service and ambiance is always great! I have been going here for years as their lunch specials and dinners were always delicious. Highly recommend lunch specials during the day if you're looking for cheap eats with good portion at a good price. Emily and Sean are always welcoming . read more

A colleague recommended this place for lunch and I really enjoyed it! Serene atmosphere and very friendly, attentive staff. I went in around noon and there was no line at all. I ordered the sushi/ sashimi combo lunch with a miso soup. Everything tasted delicious. I thought it was a good deal for the amount of food I ordered. I'd like to come back to try some of their specialty rolls - this week, their special is a Hawi yi roll with lobster in the middle. read more

Worst pad Thai I've ever had. And not even sure what that "chicken" was, but it wasn't chicken. Absolutely disgusting.

We stopped for an early sushi dinner on a Saturday night. I was a bit nervous when we walked because the floors were a little sticky (hopefully just the cleaning solution that day wasn't right), but we ended up having a great, easy dinner. We were seated immediately and the service was quick the rest of the night. We got miso soup and 4 different sushi rolls to try, all of which were fresh and well done. The 30% off discount was an extra perk too! We will definitely return if we're in the area; it was some of the best (and most worth it for the price) sushi we've had in RI! read more

Our party of 2 walked in around 8pm on a Saturday night and were seated immediately in a both by the festively-decorated bar. The restaurant was still fairly lively at that point of the night but it started to quiet the longer we were there. Our waitress was very attentive and prompt as well. We started our meal with a bowl of hot and sour soup, which was very comforting. We ordered a shrimp hibachi meal, which came with fried rice, stir-fried vegetables and a creamy zesty sauce. Even though it wasn't cooked in front of us it retained that familiar hibachi taste and freshness, though the fried rice was a bit bland. We also ordered a variety of maki and rolls, which are always 30% off for some reason but I don't mind at all! The sushi was great value, I would recommend coming here to fulfill your sushi cravings. read more

Raku Sakura is so underrated. They're my fave sushi place in the state at the moment, & I'll explain why. Quality: Consistent, always. Whether dine-in or takeout. Price: So doable. Dinner doesn't break the bank. I haven't found another place that's this good @ this price point. Staff: So charming. They work hard & are so appreciative when you tip. So, tip! Location: Tough parking sometimes but other than that, it's ideal. If you want an outing in EG, they're smack in the middle of the action. But also, it's great if you're just swinging by for takeout because it's mid-state. Vibes: Sorta luxury lounge vibes inside. Dress up or stay casual & you'll still fit in. Choose your own adventure. Recommended special rolls: Mango Tango, Valentine's, & Fantastic. read more

This past Saturday I got takeout from Raku Sakura. I've gotten food from here numerous times and each and every time it's consistently delicious! In the past I've gotten Chicken Udon, a Hibachi plate, Chicken Hibachi fried rice or Sushi too. I've also only eaten in the restaurant a handful of times but I remember it being really nice in there, with cool vibes and a fun environment. The prices aren't expensive at all either. They have a section on their menu for Sushi that is consistently 30% or more. It's a great deal! The portions are very healthy sizes and again, the food is excellent. I feel like Raku Sakura is under appreciated. Is sort of a modern Japanese, Chinese fusion so-to-speak. Each an every time I've done takeout, the food is ready with 30 mins. Even at the busy times. So I'd say the service there is very quick and efficient! This past Saturday we did a takeout order of 4 dishes, called around 7, and the food was ready within 25 mins. Incredible! So what did I get this past Saturday? I got the Chicken Hibachi fried rice with a side of Hibachi sauce. Which, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Hibachi sauce!! First of all, it tastes incredible, and also it's a really nice touch to the Hibachi fried rice. Honestly, the sauce is good with almost anything from there! I've gotten the sauce with my Chicken Udon and it's also really tasty! It's a white/orange, semi-thick cream based sauce. The Hibachi fried rice also comes with a little side salad which I'm always super psyched for because I loveeeee the dressing! I'm, again, not sure what it is, but all I know is it tastes incredible! One thing tho is you don't get fortune cookies when you do takeout. I'm not sure if you get them if you eat in either as again, I've only eaten in the restaurant a handful of times. All in all, if you like modernized Japanese, Chinese food, I highly highly recommend you give Raku Sakura a shot! It's not too expensive and the portion sizes are very generous! It's on Main Street too, which is a fun place to walk around at night. read more

Understand that I am rating the Pad Thai and what they call golden wings. I am open that maybe other things may be better. With that said, as you can see in the picture....... Boiled shrimp, unseasoned, overcooked noodles, greasy fried wings with thick unseasoned batter. I will admit that I am particular when it comes to food but this is objectively below the standard I'm sure any of the people in the kitchen would be on with. I will try them again in the future and update my review, if this was truly a one off. read more

We had a great dinner here tonight. The sushi prices are AMAZING, while still giving you high-quality, fresh and delicious rolls! Pork gyoza were delicious and the accompanying sauce was yummy. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken with broccoli as well! read more

I'm not the biggest fan of real sushi (does cooked sushi even count?) so my order was basic: a roll of chicken tempura and shrimp nime chow. I did enjoy the chicken tempura, very similar to shrimp tempura. I probably would've enjoyed shrimp tempura a little more just because traditionally it's had more flavor and a bit more juicy. But all other fillings were standard. The nime chow was okay. I think I might've gotten imitation crab meat instead of shrimp since it was had more of the brighter red/orange color. The peanut sauce helped with the flavors. If you come here during lunch, like most places it's cheaper but it's still well priced for dinner time. There's a parking lot on the side and street parking which is super convenient. The food came out super quick and our waitress was kind. The inside is a bit dark but I kind of liked it that way. read more

Was excited to try this place after scouring Yelp for good sushi in EG. It was between this place or a non-Japanese named restaurant. Lunch rolls were very disappointing. Fish wasn't fresh and rolls tasted dry. We got a few common rolls (spicy tuna, tuna and avocado, salmon I think, and Philly roll) off their lunch menu. For what seemed like an authentic Japanese spot (had heard dinner takeout was good), I'm pretty shocked at how terrible the quality of the rolls were. They seemed dry and the fish was not very flavorful. The tuna pizza appetizer was something we were looking forward to trying, but again, it was dry and needed some extra sauce or something to give it a little more punch and moisture. The only good part of my meal was the hot and sour soup. I thought they nailed the flavor and consistency, with a decent amount of contents (mushrooms and maybe some bamboo shoots?). Will not be returning for lunch but willing try their rolls again maybe during dinner when hopefully fish is fresher. read more

For overall food and sushi, Raku is the best around Kent County and south in my opinion. I like Shayu, Kon is ok but overrated besides the Hibachi which is great. . I recommend any f the sushi and you have to try the Singapore Mei Fun. It's unreal. read more

Easy location. Easy seating. Fast service. Great drinks!!!! Fresh tasting fish! Dying to go back to try other items I didn't get to today.

This review is purely based on customer service. There was only one person at the bar who said nothing to me. This was the first red flag. Being the only black person there, I felt unwelcome. The person before me went and picked up their food without any issues. When I went to get my food a lady came running out from the back saying excuse me repeatedly. When I turned around to see what she wanted she asked me "are you picking up?" I replied and told her that I was picking up a takeout order which was already paid for online. She refused to give me the food and proceeded to argue with me about how I needed to show her proof that it was my food. When I challenged her on why the other customer was able to get their food she told me it was because he was "a regular." After I gave her the full name on the order she continued being rude to me, so I eventually left. read more

This is a local gem! From the drinks, to food, to service - we had a great experience. We started with the Crab Rangoon's and they were delicious - in my top faves. They were crispy, had the right amount of filling, and came with a tasty dipping sauce. The Buddha's Delight is a great vegetarian choice - it had plenty of vegetables and the tofu was cooked well. All three sushi rolls we ordered (spicy tuna, yam tempura, and spicy girl special roll) were all soooo good. The yam/sweet potato tempura roll came with avocado which was a nice addition. They also have a huge bar with plenty of seats & lots of tasty drinks to choose from. Great spot in East Greenwich! read more

Only one other time in my life have I ordered inedible Chinese food and this is the second. It's hard to believe how awful it was honestly and $67 in DoorDash poorer. Rubbery chicken, some pieces couldn't be chewed. Why is the chicken breaded in Thai Basil Chicken? The curry my wife ordered was the same, and the sauce was gluey. The sauce for the beef sticks tasted like flour. The only thing we ate were the egg rolls and beef sticks. They weren't great but the other dishes were so bad we spit out the first bite. read more

Came in here on Thursday night for some dinner and drinks. Ill just start out by saying the bar staff was excellent. Very attentive to everyone's needs. This was my first time here and loved everything about it. Food was excellent. We had the chicken fingers for an app which was really good. I had the Orange chicken dinner. I subbed white rice for upcharge of $1.50 which was fine. The orange chicken may have been the best I've ever had. I don't usually eat a full plate of food, but this time I took down the whole meal. I will definitely be back soon. Hopefully its as good next time! Price was very good for the area too. $13 for the chicken combo meal. read more

Our local sushi places are still closed for indoor dining (sorry, but takeout sushi just isn't the same) so we ventured out of town to Raku Sakura and we're so glad we did! Their speciality rolls were dynamite and is the bar I set for a good spot. The King roll was a standout but the incredible tuna and princess rolls were tasty as well. They were good sized and were very balanced in ratio. We also tried the duck roll appetizer which was yummy but we think we'd get another sushi roll next time! The customer service was very good and all the waitresses were lovely. The 30% off all rolls can't be beat either. Xie xie, Raku Sakura, we will be back. read more
