The staff is friendly and considerate towards peanut/ tree-nut allergies. I've been going to this restaurant since it was formerly known as Kwong Dynasty and the food is still just as delicious. Their dining room makes for a cute date night, and their takeaway is pretty much the same quality you would get dining inside of their restaurant.

Really delicious food...nice atmosphere for family or date night. Nice selection of cocktails and desserts that you even took us by surprise. We will definitely return. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

Placed a take out order and for the most part the food was good. We had a shrimp tempura roll which was okay. A bit over fried bit not terrible. The Philadelphia roll was also good. The spicy Mayo wasn't spicy and was a bit sweet but otherwise rolls were good. We ordered shrimp & broccoli and we expected it to come in the brown sauce but it came in a clear sauce. Had no seasoning. The food was fresh and there was a lot of it which was nice. It was just very bland. The crab Rangoon was fried nicely! Too much cream cheese.

Went to place a to-go order and had a drink at their bar while I waited. The bartender was nice and enjoyed her service. The food was pretty good, and so was the drink. I would definitely be going again to try their scorpion bowl!

3 1/2 stars. Another day, another luncheon combination. I went with the Moo Goo Gai Pan lunch combo with white rice. As an often overlooked dish, Moo Goo Gai Pan is rich with vegies, and for protein it includes chicken (white meat) Although it is on the bland side, it is still flavorful and a staple in American Chinese Cuisine. Would I lie and say I wasn't envious of Brian & Mike's selection of the General Tso (white meat combo) no I wouldn't. Having had that dish from Kwong many of times I know what I was missing. They do such a great job with their General Tso. They are very much a gluten free friendly restaurant and have plenty of options for vegetarians. I highly recommend going to Kwong Dynasty. It's an awesome meal, it's always consistent. Enjoy ChineseFoodInRI.com

Definitely putting this on the list of places to go back to. Lunch specials are available daily and additional combination plates at a higher price are available all day. Interestingly, on these combos, rice is not a given, but you get two "side orders" from which you can use one for rice. Flexibility is good. -- Crispy Wontons: Small complimentary boat arrives before ordering as a welcoming gesture -- Hot and Sour Soup: A $6 small order gets you a pretty big bowl, filled with a thick, dark brown broth that's only slightly lumpy and is more than slightly spicy. If you like heat, this one's for you. If you like great quantity and variety of mushrooms and other floaties in your soup, maybe not-- limited in this aspect. Average to above average, depending on the above. -- Egg Roll: (on a combo) Interestingly crisp and bendy at the same time, with a moist interior of cabbage and little pork pellets that have the color and mouthfeel of #2 pencil erasers (don't ask). That said, quite tasty. I'm even going to say above average. -- Shrimp and Lobster Sauce (on a combo): HUGE props for the five pieces of fairly large and very nicely cooked shrimp hiding 'neath the surface in a separate bowl from the rice and app. At first glance, not much different looking from the soup. But there's ground pork sunk to the bottom (the sauce is much thinner than most) and LOTS of egg mixed in, so it's sort of a mishmash of Boston and New York styles for both flavor and texture while looking more like Boston. I'm not a fan of that much egg, or that thinness, but for those who are, this will be a treat-- especially given the portion size and the quality/quantity of shrimp. Above average for the right person. -- Pork Fried Rice: Slightly towards the dark end of the color spectrum and reasonably fresh and moist (aside from the pork nuggets) on a Sunday afternoon. No other add-ins (no onion, scallion, egg, bean sprouts). Mostly Rice-a-Roni flavor, with faint hints of the old time New England Chinese fried rice flavor. Average.

Han Palace is one of those places that you bring the family to every week, and they too have a die hard following in the community. And for good reason! You can find Keith there every day, always on the move. When I went, he was the one who took us to our table. I couldn't help by admire the art etched into the glass dividers in the restaurant, and the high backs to the booths allow you an intimate experience with your dining companion/s. While he was camera shy and didn't want to be in a photo (which I can respect) he was more than eager to share his thoughts on his crab rangoon! I mentioned he has quite the fan base for the appetizer and he shared with me that he workshopped his recipe for a bit before settling on what he serves today. For him, he doesn't like a strong fishy taste. Keith also freely shared his secret touches, white pepper and scallions. A note I will remember next time I make my own. When asked for a staff recommendation for what to have with our rangoon, the server suggested the General Tso's Chicken, one of their most popular dishes. Before long the food arrived and I was excited to see what the hype was all about. On first bite, what you immediately notice is these are GENEROUS on the filling. If you like a fat rangoon, this is going to be right up your alley. The taste is cream cheese forward, with the kani and scallions supporting characters to bring it all together. A small warning, be careful how you bite into these, the filling can squirt out!! Normally, I am the type to roll my eyes at ordering General Tso at a Chinese restaurant. It's like the Chicken Tikka Masala of Chinese food. However! I see why this is popular. The chicken was fresh, the slightly crispy texture holding up in the sauce. The sauce was tangy, just the right amount to evenly coat the chicken with some extra for the rice and a level of heat between mild and medium. The rice was a savory hearty base for the chicken. My quest for the best crab rangoon in Rhode Island brings me to the best places. I'm glad to have discovered this community icon, and look forward to my next visit!

My first trip was to Islander The inside of the Islander is gorgeous, ornate decorations tastefully spaced to create texture and visual appeal. The mother and daughter duo who served us were long time employees of the business. I was told that they had three generations of their family work as front of house staff there. Most of the employees were there for the long haul, a sign if thoughtful and caring ownership. A foreshadowing to when I met the owner later. We ordered the crab rangoon and our server mentioned she would send out a scallion pancake and some salt and pepper spicy wings for us to try. We didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive. The appetizers all looked beautiful and we couldn't wait to try them. The rangoon were delicious. Creamy, a nice proportion of kani with a hint of onion in the background. What I really liked about them was the purse shape. The fried edges had the kind of crispiness that shattered when you bit into it. The scallion pancakes were flaky and tasty. The wings were a good kind of heat, some spice but it never overwhelmed. The banana peppers added a little acidity that took it over the top. And when we thought that was all, two more dishes came out! The Islander fried rice and the Peking Beef. Both were great but my favorite of the two was the beef. The beef was so tender, the sauce was savory, meaty and loaded with veggies like baby bok choy, snow peas and baby corn. At this point, Simon the owner came by and spoke to our table. I had so many questions for him and he was kind enough to answer all of them. I couldn't thank him enough for his kindness and generosity. He was genuinely so sweet. He even sent us home with another order of rangoon and the house wings. I hadn't been to many restaurants in this part of Warwick but I highly recommend you make the trip to come and dine here.
