1 year ago went here and food was good boneless spar ribs was in sticky sauce was great and everything was good and did not get sick from MSG so was assuming they don't use it? But this past year went there and boneless spare ribs were dry and plain in styrofoam container and food we got was not as good as it used to be to be? Maybe new owners got cheap and cut corners? Not same quality of food as it was in past? And now probably use MSG which makes me very sick? So unless you don't use it all all I can't eat Chinese food again? I ordered Fu Ming for my family It was $90 and when they came to my house I was disappointed. The delivery girl handed me 1 little bag with only ONE combination plate. I try to tell the lady that I ordered more and she was lying to me saying thats all I ordered. I called and complained and then they told me it was at a different house and they told me to go to the house and grab my food from random people. I refused and told them I wanted it remade and then they told me they made it again in under 10 minutes. It usually takes them a hour or two to make our food so they definitely went back to the house to get in and bring it to ours. read more

We live in Scituate and have gone to the same local Chinese restaurants for years. While they are not bad, we decided to go outside our comfort zone and try a new (to us) place, a bit outside our area. We had passed a place on the Providence/Johnston line called Fu Ming. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was light and bright without being overwhelming. The dining area was very clean and well kept. Unlike many other places, it did not feel worn and unkept. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive and greeted us and asked for our drink order immediately. The menu contained typical Cantonese fare and seemed to have something for just about everyone. To me, the mark of a "great" Chinese restaurant is measured by the quality and taste of their egg rolls. We kept it light and ordered chicken chow mein, pork fried rice egg rolls and chicken fingers with brown gravy. It was our first time and we felt safe trying the basics. The egg roll was AMAZING! Very fresh, very tasty without a need to drown it in duck sauce, and most of all, it wasn't greasy. This was a great start! The rest of the food came out shortly after and was equally terrific. Very fresh, very flavorful and not greasy. There was also enough to make at least another full meal of all of it again. The owner and staff are extremely friendly, and have a long background in the business...and it shows. There is pride in their facility, their food and their service. Fu Ming's has become my favorite place for Chinese food in RI. The quality of food reminds me of when I was younger and restaurants used to care about the quality of their food. The general tsos is crunchy and the chicken isn't tough or tastes weird. Iykyk. The rice is dark and has a-lot of flavor. Everything is great from the lo mien, to the egg rolls. I was so worried when I found out Fu Ming was going to be under new management that it was going to be different or not as good and thank God it's remained the same. I was always treated so well when Mai owned the restaurant but the new owners are just as gracious. Everything that I love is still just as good as ever. Food and service is always exceptional. My son has turned me on to fu ming ! I ordered several times. I like the food. I have had better but it's good. I always order take out. I find it strange that I order food you can't use your credit card??? So when you order take out you can't put it on your credit card! My son always has to pay . It's a fresh mix of broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts, bok choy, beef, chicken, and shrimp in a savory brown sauce over a crispy bed of thin rice noodle. Several of my friends have been going to this place lately and all the food I've seen looks pretty good. We went in and ordered a scorpion bowl for two and an appetizer sampler. We love this place. The portions are large, I would say family size. They have the best pu pu platter for 2 that I have ever tried. The drinks are amazing and plentiful. You never get a drink and feel like they are holding back. :) If they are not in your delivery area they also do pick up and believe me it is worth the drive. I had really high hopes for this place after reading most of the ratings... but it failed to impress me. The rice had this incredibly odd chemical odor. My boyfriend and i attempted to eat it and ultimately it made us both unable to continue due to this extreme odor of a chemical smell in the rice. It also destroyed his lo mein and my chicken since it was all boxed together:/ super disappointing after spending over 65 bucks but what can you do. I'm so happy that this place opened! It's about time we had some good Chinese food in the area. The service was friendly and quick, and the inside has better natural lighting and a better setup than the previous restaurant that was here. The blue upholstered dining chairs they have are beautiful! Their scorpion bowl for two is large and VERY strong. They have a good-sized menu of Asian inspired cocktails that I'm sure are all just as delicious. We both ended up getting the #15 special combination plate because it had all of our favorite dishes on it. Everything was delicious! Beef teriyaki: super tender and juicy with nice flavor. Crab rangoon: good filling, crispy shell. General Tso's: fresh, all white meat chicken with light breading, and the sauce was really tasty. I would have liked it a bit more spicy though, and will definitely ask next time if they can take it up a notch. Pork fried rice: pretty standard, but good and tasted very fresh. For the portions we got, it was VERY fairly priced! It was an extremely generous amount of food that we couldn't eat all of in one sitting. I've had food to go three times now during this Covid crisis. Each time the food was absolutely great, with large portions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food is exactly what I was hoping for from a good Chinese style restaurant. My most recent order was their house fried rice, which is not dark but white rice with big chunks of vegetables and meats. As soon as I enter the parking lot someone came up and asked me what my water was and went right inside and brought it out for me! No waiting at all. Once I got home I did not get to it immediately so I decided to put some finishing touches to it in my own frypan. It came out perfect! In fact I enjoyed it for three more meals which shows just how large the portions are. I can be sometimes critical of restaurants but there's nothing wrong with this place so far at all. read more

Ordered two different combo plates for my hubby and I. We didn't like anything but the beef teriyaki and house wings. My combo plate came with pork fried rice, chicken fingers, and beef teriyaki. His came with pork fried rice, general tso's and crab rangoons. Had house wings which are like sticky wings for an app. The chicken fingers are weird here - the batter is crispy on the outside but when you bite into it seems like it is uncooked due to being extra batter-y if that makes sense?
