Visited today around 2:00. One group of four was after myself. I was a party of one. When ordering you pay upfront and I added a tip. After 30 minutes the party of four asked about their order. I was still sitting waiting for my salad. There was no rush in the kitchen. In the future I will just pay for order and leave tip on the table. read more

Wow! What an amazing meal! My big group had a little bit of everything- salmon, Mediterranean platter, chicken kabobs, pizza, and a couple of the desserts- it was all delicious! Employees aren't being trained properly. They aren't aware of what products are available. I ordered a pizza, I was told I could not substitute one topping for another. It was sweet sausage. I wanted spicy sausage. Cashier had no idea. Had to ask a manager for help. I also ordered a strawberry cheese danish which the cashier stated that they had. I sat down. And someone then came over to tell me they had ran out. Mind you...it's only 1:00pm. Lastly, I asked for a side of marinara sauce for my dry pizza. At first it was $1.00 extra. When the buss boy brought it, he said it was $2.95. Yes. $2.95 for a side of sauce. Prices are absurd. I'll never return. P.S. Someone needs to clean up front by the windows. Ate here again a couple of weeks ago (much to my dismay) it wasn't my choice. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. What annoyed our whole table is the waitress that kept coming over and trying to take our plates while we were eating! Seriously?! One of my co workers was like 'I think they're trying to get rid of us'. I was appalled by the waitress and how she could have no boundaries to make guests feel unwelcome. Two stars for the pleasant atmosphere only. After reading the menu a few times over i decided on the roast beef panini and a bowl of their house made potato soup. The descriptions of these items sounded very pleasant and delicious, however to my dismay upon recieving the food it was far less than Id expect for a $10 panini and $6 bowl of soup... the panini literally had only two slices of roast beef on each half (will post picture) which I found to be a huge rip off, not to mention it was overpowered by the rest of the panini.. maybe if they actually put a decent amount of roast beef on the sandwich it wouldnt be half bad... but definitely not worth $10. Next, the "bowl" of soup which was in all actuality a plate full of soup- and using the term 'full' is being generous. The first thing across my mind was "if this is a bowl of soup id hate to see the cup size portion they offer." Upon tasting the soup it was decent but fairly bland... I applied salt and pepper generously and it sufficed. All in all this place was a huge disappointment.. I would much rather deal with the cackling students at panera bread to get a decent meal compared to coming here again. Shame. read more

We love this place it so not your typical slop normally found in the Lancaster/Palmdale area, the ambiance is quite nice although it can get loud at times however it does not warrant a star loss. The menu is very well thought out and executed one of my favorites is their celery root salad so good! The BBQ Chicken Pizza is very good along with the Asian Chicken Salad and their Panini's are all so delicious, we always return here when we must make a trip to Lancaster and it brightens our day so much! read more

Well, it definitely sets itself apart from the other restaurants in Lancaster. Admittedly, there really isn't much to compete with in the area. What's near and delicious? Big Tuna (sushi), Chili's (popular), Don Cuco's (Mexican), Souplantation (mehh... )? They're too different to compare. Their take on Greek and Mediterranean cuisine is great. I especially love their pasta. So far, the Pink Campanille (perfect balance of spice and unique flavor) and Sacchetti "The Beggar's Purse" (the best pesto dish I've ever devoured) are my favorites. My experience with the staff was nothing to complain about. They weren't overly attentive nor were they neglectful. I thought it was a good separation of duty and affability. They had good awareness and may have even had a good sense of when they were needed. The heart-winner for me was their beer selection. I hear they have a good wine list, too. They won me over with Chimay and Duvel in their arsenal of adult beverages. read more

This is hands down the best quality and atmosphere for casual dining for lunch or dinner in the antelope valley. I'm here frequently as I work down the street an you just can't beat it. For lunch the Sicilian sausage sandwich, skinny crust gourmet pizzas, salads or wraps are phenomenal. A different specialty soup eah day of the week is a delicious small meal (culminating with the best clam chowder around on Fridays). What a lovely little cafe! Went in for coffee and dessert. The desserts were off the charts 5 star. Absolutely decadent. The best of the best. Yes, the best of the best. Their Orange Mocha Cake is hands down the best cake I have ever tasted......EVER. Orange layers with Mocha Frosting. And I have had lots and lots of cakes around the world. The flavors meld in your mouth as the light fluffly morsels surround your mouth alongside the vanilla ice cream drizzeled with caramel. And their triple berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream was freshly made - rich with flavors and the crust is perfect. Note: Will take about 10 minutes to come out after you order because they bake/warm it in the oven, NOT the microwave which is why it is so good! My Cafe Latte was perfecctly made and was as hot as hot can be which is the way it should be. I am only rating the "desserts", coffee - and the ambiance which were both excellent. read more

It's been a while since we've been here mostly because it's not one of my husbands favorite places to go. Usually I have to drag him in. Tonight sealed the last nail in the coffin of this place for him. He ordered pizza and when it came out had no sauce. Of course we wouldn't have known it didn't come with sauce as there was no mention on the menu. So he ordered a side of marinara. Not only did they want to change me for it but it took about 20 minutes and want marinara( freshly made) When I asked about the lack of description on the menu I was told the pizzas that did come with sauce stated so.....ok. there was a handful of other complaints that I won't bore you with only to say this used to be one of my favorite places. Lemon leaf is tasty and is a gem for the antelope valley. The food is good. The lemon pizelle dessert is my favorite thing there. Food here is excellent and the desserts are some of the best I've ever had. The service has drastically improved in the last year. This is the most exceptional dining establishment in the AV. The Lemon Leaf is not fancy and you order at a register, but once you sit down at your table, get ready for amazing food and extremely friendly service. At lunch, they can get a little overwhelmed, but if you stop a waiter while he's jumping from table to table, he immediately provides whatever you need. LL has a nice short wine list and a few quality bottled beers. The ingredients used are very fresh. The cheesecake is amazing. Coffee excellent. I love it that the owner and head chef wanders around talking to people. She really cares about her restaurant, food quality, and happiness of her customers. This establishment is extremely clean. Maria Elena puts her heart and sole into her restaurant!!! She always makes me feel at home and if I'm being taken care of my the Greek or Italian grandmother I never had. Her food is always delicious and consistent with the highest quality ingredients! Her kitchen is amazing and the staff are well trained and put their passion for food into the final products. I am gluten free and she is always able to accommodate my requests. My kids have celebrated nearly every birthday and graduation since she first opened! Seriously the best restaurant in the AV!! Every time we eat somewhere different, we use Lemon Leaf as the comparison to see if the other place is worth going back too... usually the answer is no. I especially love their grilled salmon with garlic mashed potatoes- some of the best flavored and cooked salmon I've ever had, along with some tasty real potatoes. All of their pizzas are also delicious- thin crust with quality unique ingredients, I would say the best pizza in the AV! Also, their pasta selections are always fresh and tasty- my favorite is the chicken pesto. Ordering is done at the front counter, then you're given a number and can find a seat. Always friendly wait staff bring out your food, usually very quickly (15 minutes or less). There's also complimentary bread and butter, but you usually have to ask. read more

This is simply our favorite place to eat in the Antelope Valley. The owner/chef takes personal attention to quality very seriously. I have eaten here often and always been pleased with the food quality and service. Even on the busiest nights the food comes out hot, prepared well, and in a timely fashion. My wife loves the Caprese Pasta and I prefer the cream based pasta dishes. We regularly enjoy the Ensalada Mista as our salad offering. It is always super fresh and very flavorful. Lemon Leaf Cafe has a semi classy dining area, nothing too great though. A lot of the people in the cafe were.. smug. The whole time I was in the cafe I felt like checking on my car to make sure nobody broke into it. Once I was done eating at the damn place I walked out and BAM, some bum chick was sitting on the hood of my fucking car!!! Just hanging out with one of the employees that was on break.. I was pissed!! The set up is confusing, the whole ordering your food at the counter just totally throws me off. They have servers, I don't understand why they can't just take the orders. I believe the food is expensive for Lancaster dining and out of the few times I've been I've asked specifically no onions and ALWAYS get them. If I could live here I would. This place makes all I will ever need in life. I love how homey and down to earth this place is. It has adorable candy packages of pretty much every good candy ever made. Their coffee that is.to.die.for. Make sure to try their Caprese Pizza and end it with a Cheesecake- makes for pretty splendid dinner. Whenever I am up in Lancaster visiting family I try to go there every weekend. I used to dread having to go home for more than a couple of days until I found this place. Before the Lemon Leaf, all I had as options to eat at were...Shakey's and Panera...and Panera can get pretty boring if you eat it every other day The service is great, yeah there are some funny waitresses with too much personality for comfort according to some, but when you taste their pasta, all will be forgiven. I love the owner Mimi and the manager Helen, if you have any questions just ask to talk to them and they are always glad to step out from the kitchen to have a chat. This place epitomizes what a neighborhood restaurant should be. All the recipes are the owner's grandma's traditional Italian creations. I like to just drop by for some coffee if I don't have time for an all out meal because I love just supporting a place that really puts love into their food. I decided to bring an out of town friend to Lemon Leaf Cafe after seeing the reviews here. With my 2 small daughters and friend in attendance we found the overall restaurant to be very clean (Bathrooms too!), very well decorated (Love the hand painted mural!)and the staff were nicely attentive. We ordered the Mediterranean Platter as an appetizer. When it was placed on the table I was at first dissapointed because I thought there could have been more food on the dish for the $10 price. It turned out to be more than adequate for 2 adults and 2 rather picky children. We had the lemonade which was just the right ratio of sweet and tart and the refills were timely. The Caprese pizza was excellent, it has a very thin crust which I generally dislike, but in this case the pizza was perfect, not soggy, not greasy, not overcooked. We had the cheese cake (very good, very creamy) and this lemon tiramisu style thing that was incredible! As there are very few decent, much less really good restaurants in the Antelope Valley I think we'll be frequenting this one quite often. *BTW* as a Lancaster local for almost 10 years I am qualified to say that most places to eat here just suck. We've been eating here for about 2 years. It's the best restaurant in the Antelope Valley and one of the most inviting. The wall mural is fantastic and the vibe is of a local cafe (which it is!). We've tried several of the entrees, but after trying the Turkey Cranberry Cobb Salad I was hooked. The raspberry vinaigrette is great (must be the owner's own recipe). Hubs likes the Quatro Formaggio Pizza, but occasionally tries something else. The iced tea is always fresh and perfect. The only (small) problem in this foodie heaven is the service. Sometimes it's a little iffy. Iced tea doesn't get refilled and we have to flag someone down, or we have to ask for bread. Small inconvenience for the great food. The price might put some people off, but you're getting fresh, top quality food prepared to order and it's food you won't find anywhere else in the valley. If you want cheap, low quality food there are plenty of places for you, but this isn't one of them. read more
