Nadia Cakes is easily one of my favorite places for cupcakes, and honestly I consider them one of the best. It's not surprising they were winners of Cupcake Wars because their cupcakes actually live up to the hype. They have a great variety of flavors, but my personal favorites are cookies and cream, cookie dough, and their cannolis. I've tried cupcakes from plenty of other places, but they're often too dry, too sweet, or too plain for my liking. Nadia Cakes somehow gets the balance right every time. I also appreciate that they offer gluten-free, dairy-free, and keto cupcake options, plus dog treats, which is such a cute bonus. They're also excellent with custom orders. For my husband's 30th birthday, I ordered a custom Nacho Libre cake from them and it turned out beautifully. Even better, it tasted just as good as it looked. It was definitely pricey, but considering the quality, flavor, and detail of the work, I thought it was absolutely worth it. My only tiny wish is that they served hot drinks so people could enjoy coffee or tea with their treats. Thankfully, there's a Coffee Bean right next door, so that problem basically solves itself. Overall, Nadia Cakes is a solid 5/5 for me; delicious cupcakes, beautiful custom cakes, and consistent quality. read more

Happened to come across this bakery by chance, when looking for a cake spot that wasnt generic. It was last minute so we didnt get to put in an order anywhere. Walking in, you're warmly greeted by the associates and by the smell of pastries. There are plenty of cupcakes to choose from and there are several cake selections that are available too! Ended up getting a mini-cupcake and a cake, the former was an opportunity to taste one of their product. It was delicious! We had the cake later that evening, and while it was small in size, it made a big impression! Everyone who had it, including myself, enjoyed the moist and perfectly sweet strawberry and cream cake. And we got a kick of the cute decor that was inspired by a popular meme. I will definitely be visiting this amazing spot in the future! read more

This location has been around for a while. Great to see it still thriving in the community as a local staple. Located across the street from the mall. Customized cakes, cupcakes and desserts. A bit on the higher price range. We ordered a cake in advance for a birthday and asked for a Hawaiian theme but it was a bit sponge Bob ish. Nonetheless it was decorated well. They do use a lot of frosting so keep that in mind, it's gonna be super sweet. If you have something in mind bring a picture for reference. Flavors are customizable. In the photo is a cake I preordered in January for Valentine's Day. It is a gluten free and dairy free cake with pink vanilla frosting, chocolate cake layers, and fresh fruit and white frosting filling. What I rate highly on? The vintage style frosted decor and piping; the design. The edible glitter spray to finish it off and I liked the hand piped "Happy Valentine's Day". I think it is amazing the cake came out great with the challenges of gluten and dairy free. The flavor? The chocolate cake layers are great. Decadent would've been too much and thankfully it isn't. The filling is white frosting with a layer of fresh strawberries--I personally love it. The pink frosting is a bit too sweet for my taste, I know the mixture was to keep the cake's decor to last, but that was the only thing I could say is not my overall favorite. Have I tried other things in the store? Yes, I have. I have tried the gf & df cupcakes before picking up six cupcakes for my birthday lunch. And I have tried the brown butter chocolate chip cookie as well as the chocolate covered strawberries on the same day I picked up my cake. Brown butter chocolate chip cookie was divine. I shared the ones I bought, same opinions. The chocolate covered strawberries were excellent as well. The flavor of the chocolate was just right. Overall opinion? I will buy from here again. I like the idea there is variety in the gluten and dairy free department and they're willing to take on challenging orders like these (and I know it's challenging as without gluten the cake needs a substitute for binding and the cake-like crumb). I like to see the potential on what creativity can come of these ideas in mind like the ones in the gluten free shelf and the ones in the regular display case. read more

I came here on a mini-road trip with my book bestie purely we're big fans of Abby Jimenez books. Now we're big fans of Nadia Cakes! There was a young man behind the counter who was extremely patient and kind. We got there early so we didn't hold up any other customers, but with so many options it took us a bit to decide. Plus we shopped the collection of signed (by sticker) books by Abby! The chocolate chip cookie dough has a cookie dough filling in the middle- I wish it was the mixed in the frosting to give more of that flavor. When I found out that Abby Jimenez is a baker AND has a cupcake shop in palmdale, I knew I had to go! The girl at the counter was so friendly and helpful. Huge cupcake selection, good prices, and some of her books in paperback with signatures! I wish the signatures were on the books instead of a sticker but still so cool! The interior was pink and romantic and so cute. They were even willing to extra wrap up the cupcakes I bought so they could survive the trip home. I stopped by Nadia's Cakes for the first time and decided to try something I've never tried before--the Cannolis. I'm so glad I did! They were delicious! The shells were perfectly crisp, and the filling was smooth, creamy, and just the right level of sweetness. You can tell everything is made fresh and with a lot of love. The location is convenient and the ambiance is great. The shop itself is adorable, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Today I purchased 4 cupcakes, and I have tried 2 of them. I wanted to like the cupcakes but found it hard. The red velvet cupcake was very dry, and it didn't taste like any red velvet cake I've ever tasted. Then there's the carrot cupcake, there was so much lemon in the frosting that I didn't even bother trying to finish the cupcake. I was on my way to Coffee Bean when I stumbled upon this place. I'm a huge fan of Cupcake Wars and I saw a banner that stated they are a Cupcake War winner. So, I had to stop by to check it out for myself. I tried their cheesecake with raspberry compote which won them their title. I have to say it was quite tasty. I also tried the vanilla cupcake and the chocolate vanilla cupcakes. I loved the moistness and texture of the vanilla cupcake, but the icing was a tad too much. As for the chocolate vanilla, the cake part was a little more dry, but had a nice rich chocolate taste, but the vanilla icing got lost.
