I kindly brought to her attention that the tray was dirty and I noticed that all of the other trays that they were pulling from were all used. She then swapped out my piece of cake and put it directly into a brown paper bag without a liner, (or anything). I have a greasy paper bag that is likely to tear if I don't hurry and remove my cake. I came in early this week to order a Spider-Man birthday cake. The lady that works the night shift was very helpful and took my order. My cake order was scheduled to be picked up at 3PM the following day. So next day comes and at 3:05PM I receive a voicemail from ONE missed call saying that the printer for the Spider-Man decoration ran out of ink. I am assuming the owner is the one who called me. He said "If you still want it I can give you $10 off. I get to the store and the owner wasn't there anymore so the young lady helped me and offered to draw spider webs on the cake and put a random toy that they had in stock. The toys they offered were cars, trucks, soccer players, etc. The theme was Spider-Man I obviously didn't want random soccer players on the cake. If they would have communicated with me earlier I could have had time to buy a cake topper and it wouldn't have been a big deal but the fact that they waited till the last minute is ridiculous. Luckily the young lady was able to help me salvage it and found a spider man toy. I'm overall very disappointed with the way my order was handled. The cake looked like it was rushed. I bought a chicken tamale and it's not made of cornmeal. It has a gelatin-like texture, like they made it with corn starch, not cornmeal. They told me it was wrapped in a banana leaf. It's thin and yellow, and doesn't cover the entire tamale. It's open from end to end and wrapped in foil. It's slimy looking because of the cheap owner. It's not fresh made the same day, but it's probably at least 3 days in the fridge. So it's not spoiled. The bakery items look great, but I don't know why the inventory is so full. I want to be positive because I bought a cake, and it looks okay. I had the cake. It's okay. It reminds me of vinegar cake. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I find this one very necessary. I called on 3/24/25 and asked if they could do a custom cake for me to pick up on 3/25/25. I went to place my order, left a picture of my beautiful cat, Luna. This was a very special day for me because it was my Luna's 17th birthday. I had wanted to honor her on birthday. You see, I lost her last year to Cancer. This was so important to me. I get there after 5:30 in the afternoon. The cake was not done. I have been emotional because of the day. Naturally, I cried. Apologies were thrown, but those apologies didn't do anything for me, what I needed was to see my Luna on that cake. So disappointing and heartbreaking. Been going here for the last couple years never had an issue until recently. When I walked in the Hispanic lady that's in her late 50s sold me a cake that was tres leches. This would be like the 15th time in the last couple of years I've bought this type of cake our family has a bunch of birthdays. I noticed when I ask her to write happy birthday she went to the back and came back out like as if she was questioning her self, before boxing the cake up and ringing me out. Once she told me if I wanted any writing I told just happy birthday she wrote "happy Bday" I wasn't happy but was in a rush so I got the cake and left. Later on that night I took the cake out of the fridge and we did the whole birthday song and I sliced and peace for my dad and mom who immediately said was this supposed to be tres leches I looked at the inside of the cake and it was completely dry and tasted like a two day old cake. I called the next morning and they never answer the phone but by some miracle the lady that sold me the cake answered. When I told her about the cake she said it's not tres leches and it's just wet with a bit on top with milk. I'm told her then why did she tell me it was a tres leches cake and she continued to repeat her self, she then said all the cake in the fridge are premade and come like that I told her it wasn't my first time buying cakes at the location and this is the first time I've gotten a bad dry old tasting cake that was supposed to be tres leches she tried to say maybe because I've pre ordered the other times I said nope not once have I done that I've walked in gotten my cakes and walked out this is the first time this has happened and she continue to argue repeating herself trying to convince me that that's how the cake is. She then said I could speak to the owner, but refused to give me the owners name. If the owner read this please pay more attention to the employees and the quality of your product. I understand businesses are struggling but false advertisement and putting peoples health in danger is a true concern one that a health inspector would agree. Also having an honest and very competent staff upfront would help. read more

TERRIBLE. I ordered a half sheet for my son's first birthday, farmer themed, as seen in the first picture. I ordered it marble bread, and half banana, half strawberry. The second picture is what I received. The inside was white bread, with a small thin layer of chocolate on some parts of the cake. And pure strawberries, no bananas. It was an hour before my sons party so i had no other choice but to take it, and I at least thought the inside of that cake would be what I bargained for. Ever since covid, they moved all their bread behind cases and now employees select the bread for you. Last visit I was really disappointed that all my mini conchas were hard as bricks, I'm sure it was day old bread that they were trying to get rid of. That was a waste of money down the drain and will not return. If they actually cared for their clientele, they would not do this. I've seen other bakeries that sell their day old bread in wrapped bags and sell all for $1 but here, they charge you full price for rocks. The service here is horrible. I've ordered through doordash 2 times and when I go pick up my order "it's not in the system" or "they haven't received it". The last time I went they told me the order never came through. They asked for the receipt and I showed them and yet they never respected my order. It was 2 dozens of the mini concha's. I asked if I showed them the receipt why can't I get my order? Their response was "if it's not in the system they won't respect it" a couple customers had the same issue and they said the same thing. If ordering through doordash is an issue why do they continue with the process. They can't even offer good customer service in respecting the receipt because it was definitely paid for. For this reason I will no longer support for their poor customer service and food quality. I gave them a second chance to see if there would be improvement and unfortunately there wasn't. read more

Apparently he didn't have enough money to buy the bread that he wanted which was $1.50 , the lady told him you don't have enough for that bread you only have enough for a concha which is 40 cents. The old man really wanted that bread but the cashier kept telling him that he only had enough for a smaller bread. My first time trying this place out and I'm so disappointed and frustrated with my experience. I wanted to get a birthday cake for my daughter's birthday so I came here to support our local bakery. My daughter picked out the design she wanted and we placed our order. She was really excited and happy for her cake. The day approached and it was time for us to pick up her cake. So we get to the place and asked the lady we were ready to pick up our order and gave her the receipt. The lady looked at us and said she had no cake orders that day. I visited this bakery today just to pick up Guatemalan bread, which I've done in the past. However, after entering and grabbing a pair of tongs, I realized there was none to be found! Not sure when they stopped selling it and couldn't even ask because there was no one attending the counter. I looked around for a couple of minutes, and still no one came. I put the tongs back and slowly backed out of there like your dog when he walks in on you in the bathroom stinking up the place. The Mexican bread is ok, but for me, the draw is gone.
