I have always come here for their delicious Tamales and Pupusas but the last two times i don't know if they changed cooks or what it has have been so bad. First I got tamales that were still soggy no taste it was nasty. Through it all away! Waste of my money. i decided to give them another chance I went a Thursday Feb.12th on my lunch from work and once again the tamale was so gross no flavor dry meat and the papusa wasnt good either. They were always so good the best in town to me personally. I only go there for Tamales but now i will be going else where. It's a small place in town and you need to go visit and try Mexican and Central American food, now there is a new manager so the service is better, one of my favorite plates are Chilaquiles Rojas and pupusa and if you want a sweet treat them offer a lot of options, I recommend trying their strawberry mousse cake. read more

Definitely worth the drive. I'm a foodie person and willing to drive for great food. Came across Maribels on the way to work and saw great reviews and it was a must try because pupusa are my favorite. I ordered the pupusa and it was delicious, came with cabbage and salsa. I also ordered chicken flautas but no flavor to the chicken very bland, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. I would not order them again. The salsa wasn't spicy but flavorful. I stopped by to get some Guatemalan tamales and they were a bit smaller than pre-COVID but tasted the same, absolutely delicious. I also got a piece of bread pudding. Wow! I do have to admit it's like no other bread pudding you e ever had...it's so moist and tasty. They're open with COVID restrictions...you can only order and pickup. They had two other customers when I was there but we were all helped very timely. The menu is considerably sized down but the quality of food has not changed. read more

The sign on the door said they're "open". As soon as I stepped in, the person manning the store rudely said that they're closed, and she was taking off her apron and looking for her purse. When I pointed out that the sign said they're open, she almost yelled to say they're closed. I asked why since it was lunch time. She said there was no one there to help customers. I asked when it will be opened again. She said she doesn't know. I was getting ready to drive off when I saw her get in a waiting car outside. I guess she was the help that cannot be bothered. I should have listened to my instincts and walked out as soon as I walked in. The dining area was dark and felt uninviting. The looming images of a a woman amongst the menu made me feel uneasy and I don't understand the purpose of having unprofessional pictures posted in such a large format. The person behind the counter was cold and had no customer service skills. I no longer wanted to order after looking over the limited selection but decided to get a piece of piña colada cake since I had already made it that far. Terrible service from these people. My parents who are elderly, decided to go out for lunch at this place. My parents are extremely kind respectable people who did not deserve to get treated like crap. First of all, they came to eat at this restaurant at 4 pm and ordered to dine in. The employees failed to mention they were going to take 50 minutes to prepare their food. On top of that, they were forced to take it to go because of how long the food took to be prepared. The employees were extremely rude to my parents and my step brother who's 1 year old. I'm so glad I wasn't there because I would have raised hell. This establishment needs to respect their customers. I can't see how this place is still in business if they can't treat customers right and their food is mediocre at best. I will be having the city health inspector pay a visit to this place soon. We placed our order, which the young granddaughter took down in detail, but not ONE thing we ordered turned out on this cake. We ordered chocolate cake inside and white frosting on the outside, with vanilla pudding in the middle layer, Happy Birthday, etc on top. When we went to pick it up on our way to the party, this is what we got: It was decorated in red, white and blue 4th of July colors (it was July 3rd) there was no vanilla pudding in the middle and the birthday boy's name was MISSPELLED! To make matters worse, when we took it back in to be fixed, both the granddaughter and grandmother started making excuses and blamed it on us! We had to argue with them just to get it fixed!
