Oh my goodness I have just found the most delicious place in Lancaster!!! I LOVE frozen custard and it is around 100 degrees F right now here so I decided to stop by and get a cooling treat! The shop is located a little way down the Blvd and looks so pretty amd welcoming from the outside! On entry I was greeted by friendly staff and I was told we are allowed two samples of Italian ice and two samples of the custard. Everything I tasted was too delicious I wanted it all. In the end I went with a scoop of strawberry shortcake and a scoop of cookies and cream. So perfectly smooth and custardy, and the flavors are phenomenal but the strawberry shortcake takes the cake, it's so delicious. Next time I'm Going to have to ask if they sell it by the pint!!! I got the same thing - melon and vanilla custard combo. My husband decided to change it up and got a mix of Italian ices - watermelon and melon, with swirl custard. They really encourage you to mix it up and try different flavors in your cup, which is nice. Walking in, the decor is cute and boutique like with a variety of candy and small unique gifts displayed. There's a cute white posh lounge area with a few tables to sit to enjoy your treats. I went here the other day after work. It was so good! I had never heard of Italian ice before and frozen custard wasn't a regular for me. So I was a little skeptical at first, but I trusted the other good yelp reviews and I'm glad I did! I got one of their frozen combos with chocolate custard, pistachio Italian ice and strawberry custard. It was a great combination and reminded me of Neapolitan ice cream. Some of the yelp pictures had me thinking the Italian ice was some sort of liquid between the two custards. It is not, its really just an icy form of ice cream and the custard is a thick form of ice cream. I think the flavors I got are probably the best, as well as the mocha flavor. I tried the cherry ice and it didn't really have any flavor and the mango was to fruity for me. The staff was friendly and had no problem letting me try the different flavors. Started with some delicious dough packed cookie dough followed by biscotti and then the loaded cookie. It was sooooo smooth. I mean it felt like satin was gliding across my tongue gently placing sugar kisses on every taste bud. Disappointing service unfortunately. The price didn't match the menu prices they have listed. They didn't have a lot of birthday cake ice cream left but they still sold me a scoop, which was very small.
