We were seated quickly, and the menu had a lot of American and Mexican options. We ordered the waffle combo, strawberry waffles, and chorizo and eggs. The food was delicious and the portions were good-sized. My teen daughter, who's eaten waffles from a variety of restaurants over the years, said, "I think these are the best waffles I've ever had!" The servers were attentive and friendly, and the price was a good value for the amount and quality of food. We'd definitely go to Chelly's again.

I ordered the two slices of French toast with bacon and my husband had the sausage skillet special. My French toast was delicious. He said he really liked his food too. This place is a little hole in the wall spot, which I actually prefer over the big chain restaurants. You tend to get better service and I'd rather support a small business. We're from out of town so this was a prefect find for us and I'd recommend this place. I'd come back if we were in the area.

So I do know what that is suppose to be.

Our server was HUSTLING through the Sunday rush but was still so sweet and attentive, which deserves a shoutout. Service overall was quick and friendly. It's a little pricier, but portions are generous. The tortilla soup was substantial and SO tasty, plus it came with garlic bread... say less. Sweet potato fries were plentiful and delicious, and the Tim sandwich lived up to the hype from all those good reviews. Definitely a solid choice. Ranch is classic restaurant-style, and the chipotle mayo was actually really good. I love to dip, so naturally I had to sample the sauces. Priorities. The pastries were good too, and I was especially happy to see that they carry Bake Up's strawberry Pop-Tarts! The space is small and cozy, like a little neighborhood coffeehouse, and it shares the location with an optometry office. The service wasn't the best, though. I'll admit that I can be a little chatty, but these ladies didn't seem to have much of a sense of humor--it sometimes felt like I was talking to a wall. Still, the coffee was good, the pastries were tasty, and the strawberry Pop-Tart was a fun find!

Once we went inside, we met the owner, who was really nice and shared that the space was originally an optometry shop and that the coffee shop was his wife's passion project. I thought that was such a cute concept, and you can definitely see the optometry theme throughout the shop, from the aesthetic to the drink names, which have fun eyewear and eye-care puns. I ordered the Rose Matcha with almond milk. The matcha itself was okay and could have had a stronger flavor for my preference, but I really enjoyed the rose flavor, which came through nicely without being too overpowering. Additionally, the price was a little expensive for the amount plus milk alternative change. Overall, it was a cute and unique coffee shop with a fun concept, and I'm glad my friends convinced me to stop by.

The bowl was a definite favorite, loaded with fun toppings that gave it amazing flavor and texture (loved the cashew cream and squash!). The GF bread on the sandwich was pretty exceptional and the sauces were great, though the bread did get soggy fairly quickly.
