I got the smores latte and it was rich and delicious with my yummy chocolate chip cookie (I'm always a sucker for a coffee & cookie combo), and this hit the spot. But really, the ambiance was just perfect today. Spring hit yesterday and it was clear through the bright sunshine that came through the cafe and I was so glad to see the plenty of outdoor seating available. I came with friends and we had a hard time determining if we should sit inside or out because both choices were equally great ones. I appreciated how open the space was, how kind the servers and staff were - even for it being a busy weekend morning, and still, how carefully prepared everything was upon arrival to our table. I was in the neighborhood and wanted to try a new spot. Cafe Cache's description on Yelp is true to form. It's tucked at the bottom of an apartment complex at the marina. They have indoor seating with tables and a counter near the kitchen. I picked the outdoor seating along the bench under an umbrella with a nice view of the marina. For a late breakfast, I snagged a S'more's Latte and a ham/cheese croissant. Both were exceptionally delicious. The staff made a great suggestion on the croissant pick since they have plenty of pastries and treats to choose from. Side story: I was finding my way there from the parking garage and got stuck at a patio door that needed an access key. There was a guy there who let me in as he could tell I was wandering. This is a very cute little cafe on the promenade behind the Amli apartments in Marina del Rey. My friend and I, and our playful pups went here today for a light breakfast. Service is very nice and friendly although a little slow! My friend had the regular coffee which she said was very good and I had the Creme Brulee Latte-a rich vanilla latte with cream and a torched sugar crust. The coffee was good although a little bit on the sweet side. The Ham and Cheese Croissant was pretty good, not the best, not the worst. This is definitely the new trendy spot on the Marina. Went a little later in the afternoon for a coffee and to get some work done, and was able to get a table. Have tried a few drinks here and they're very good. Haven't tried the food yet, but it looks delicious. It is French themed, and looks the part inside. Stopped in for my first time this morning for breakfast and overall had a great meal. I live walking distance from this location so it's extremely convenient for me and being that it is located on the harborside of the AMLI building, it really has some beautiful views if you choose to eat outside. It's basically a little French café that serves food and drinks. There are also tables inside, which is where we decided to sit for our first visit. I really like how the interior is laid out, there are paintings all over the wall and almost has kind of a coffeehouse kind of vibe. It's really tranquil and casual and I would say the only downside is that it is quite expensive, we spent about $75 for breakfast and with $10 lattes the pricing is a bit high, but I am sure a lot of that is due to the location. The staff was very friendly and everything that we ordered came out pretty quickly, even though it was quite busy. You basically order at the counter and they give you a number and then bring your food or drinks to you. Some people got it to go, but most people like us chose to eat in. For my breakfast, I chose the Croissant Benedict and really loved it. The croissant was very fresh and the eggs were cooked perfectly and overall, I just really liked it. We also ordered the Royal Scramble and the truffle butter that it came with was absolutely fantastic. It was a real big hit at the table and would be something I would definitely recommend. We also tried the Beignets and they are a bit different than the fluffy New Orleans version but we still really enjoyed them, especially with the homemade strawberry jam. We also tried the Crème Brûlée Lattes and thought they were great. Overall, I would say it's a great casual and quick option and I already want to come back soon to try more items. read more

Well That Lady and I were need of sustenance and a friend suggested we try this cafe. As it was Friday, sunny and Cafe Cache was within walking distance, we went forth. The Cache Cafe is on the Basin side of a large residential apartment complex. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly and a great staff. The menu is currently breakfast and lunch with crepes, omelets, sandwiches, quiche and beignets. The beignets are served with three sauces (chocolate, vanilla, and berry). There goes my diet. By the way, they make a killer French Dip with tasty Anjou sauce. Allegedly, they will soon be offering dinning (not soon enough for me). Parking can be testy depending on what is going on in the development, but allegedly should improve. Army, morning here with croissant and cafe con latte will risk you away to the quay in Marseilles. Exactly what the marina needed! Cafe Cache transports you from the marina straight to a charming cafe in France. The atmosphere feels cozy and inviting and the service matches the friendly feel of the cafe. I ordered the Bonjour crepe which had all the savory flavors I was hoping for. It comes with scrambled eggs, cheese and ham, making it perfect for breakfast or lunch. I also ordered the French Dipper short rib baguette which was absolutely amazing. The flavors of the short rib were incredible, and once you dip it in the jus dip, there's even more of a flavor explosion. I finished the meal off with an iced latte which was delicious. I can't recommend Cafe Cache enough and will become a regular without a doubt! read more

Food is decent, I've only had the breakfast crepe with eggs and it was pretty good. It's on the marina beautiful location. The service is just OK - they're super nice and I know they are new and trying their best, but they are really slow :( I've never waited less than 15 minutes for a coffee when they are busy. I wish they would prioritize the people that just stop for a coffee to go. There's a lot of people sitting down to eat, and idk how long they are waiting, but I'd love to be able to grab a coffee and be in and out. The coffee is really good though. read more

Returned from Brittany last night to discover this crepe cafe has opened. The crepes are authentic and up to the French/Brittany standard! I had the classic (savory ham, béchamel, cheese), a joy to see buckwheat flour used, rare in the US. Partner had the lemon. Both were excellent. Arrived at 3:30. Ordered a latte, mocha and ham and cheese croissant (already made in the bakery case). Took at least 30 minutes for coffees. Served 'take away' but we were sitting g at a table. Clearly they wanted us to leave as they close at 4 pm. Latte was horrid, too hot and then couldn't taste the coffee. I dumped it out. While we sat they put all the chairs in the tables to close. Not nice. Unwelcoming. Unfriendly staff. We live nearby and really wanted to live this new neighborhood place. Don't recommend. Hope they get their act together. read more

The coffee and food here are really good, but make sure you have plenty of time. Weekends can mean a 30-minute wait just for coffee, and weekdays are usually 10-15 minutes unless you're there right at opening. It's not a crowd issue, they're just consistently understaffed or underprepared. read more
