I am very excited for Petros to come to Playa Del Rey. We love their MB restaurant and were very excited to see the cafe and a food truck in our area. We went to get lunch at the food truck and the food was delicious! It is definitely one of the best tasting spots in Playa! They have bunch of outdoor tables overseeing the wetlands where you can eat. They are definitely just starting out here and I can't wait for them to expand and become one of the landmark places in the area.

Well, well, well.... Petros Kafe. Wooohoo!!! I'm still smackin my lips from the gyro I just wolfed down. Btw, they closed at 7 and not 8pm as the to-go menu shows, but nevertheless... i made it in time. Maybe weekdays they close at 7, and weekends it's 8. Not sure, but either way, get your butt over there and check it out. The FLAVUH, OMG.... THE FLAVUH!!! Btw: kudos to the penmanship on the chalkboard. Sometimes, its the little things that stand out

So excited to see a new coffee shop in Playa del Rey!! Right on Culver blvd, this will make a great new addition to the neighborhood. Cute coffee shop, so far it appears they have coffee, tea, matcha, cookies and pastries. The barista informed me they will have food in the future (the Petros catering food truck is parked outside) likely inspired by their Manhattan Beach restaurant menu. There is also lots of outdoor seating and a great view. Latte was great, I didn't try any food. Very friendly service, it was not crowded while I was there. Parking is only street parking or the paid lot further down Culver.

Outdoor premium Greek food!

I love the food and the cafe , amazing staff and wonderful outdoor setting. This is stage one of the build with a restaurant via premium food truck experience , and wonderful cafe for coffee type drinks and desserts (awesome desserts) . The quality of the meals is excellent

Dining area & wetlands

Nice little indoor cafe with coffee, pastries & dips, such as tzatziki. Outdoor food truck with Greek cuisine options & breakfast items all day. Plus an amazing view of the Ballona Wetlands. You order food, they bring it to your table. We look forward to the streak house opening soon.

Very cute design

The food is delicious, good service and super cute patio. Only got to try spanakopita and bougatsa and they were amazing! Loved the cappuccino too. Will be back for more!

Petros Kafe includes traditional Greek coffees and imported ingredients from Greece (feta, olive oil, honey, oregano) which are used in the food from the food truck and sold separately to use for your own cooking! The service was fast, the employees feel like family, and the location gives a great ambiance of a Greek island! I had a Freddo Kappuccino & the chicken souvlaki! The price is super affordable, I highly recommend to stop by!

Excellent food and coffee. Love the view too. There was a breakfast burrito, scramble and omelet available- not pictured in the menus I took photos of.

The most delicious gyro!!! I got to excited and took a bite before a picture

Best gyro in America! We were all over Greece last summer and had a gyro from a different place every day. This is the first time we have tried food at Petros and it did not disappoint! The gyro and fries were very authentic and the tzatziki sauce was perfect! Well done Petros! I hope more people begin to notice this spot.

Spanakopita and coffee

I had the BEST spanakopita and coffee today at Petros Kafe! The Kafe is clean, cute and the staff is also very friendly. I will be back again soon.

Gyros

Delicious gyros and sautéed shrimp. Really cute outdoor area with twinkle lights. Only issue is parking.

First proper freddo cappuccino I've found in LA

Amazing coffee and pastries!!! We went early so the food truck wasn't open yet but I can't wait to go back and try more!

There is a few spots for short term parking, mainly for you to pick up and go. Otherwise, if it's $4/hr for parking, increasing in 15 minute increments after the first hour of parking. 1 hr parking minimum. Done via AirGarage using a QR code. HOWEVER, if you do decide to sit and eat here, there is a QR code inside you can scan. It will automatically add a discount code to your check-in, giving you 1 hour free. Seating: there's about 9 or so small tables you can sit down inside, and a few more maybe outside. It can get crowded during peak so be prepared. Interior: No air conditioning; they had multiple fans running to keep things relatively cool inside. They have music playing; tyoical cafe music vibes after sitting here for 20 mins so if you want to have a conversation, won't be an issue unless its packed and your neighbors are loud. I did not see any electrical outlets you can use to charge a laptop or tablet, but the guy next to me seemed to be charging am ebike so I dunno... *Edit* there are outlets right undearneath the bench. Food and Drink: met expectations for me. Cool, refreshing. Tried the banana cream top latte and got the taste of banana as I drank it. The Rise and Shine was a great breakfast sandwich, even though I had it at 5pm. Did I mention they serve food all day? Definitely a nice spot for a cafe visit or grabbing something on the go, especially because their hours run later than a lot of other cafes in the area (and they don't rip you off on parking!)

Really cool and unique We got the croissant with avocado, ham, cheese and egg -- gorgeous! Also tried the bagel with bacon, egg and cheese, which was really good. The pastries were ok: we got the blueberry scone, which felt a little dry, and the cinnamon pastry, basically a remake of the usual cinnamon roll. It was good, although a little dry around the outside. The drinks were great! That little foam they add to the cold brews was divine and really adds a tasty touch without all those disgusting syrups. We grabbed our food and drinks and walked to the beach, which is a 2-minute walk away. Highly recommend doing this! There are quite a few tables inside and outside if you fancy staying, although no pets are allowed inside. The staff is super friendly, but prices do tend to be on the high end. We spent over $65 including tip for 2 lattes, 2 pastries and 2 sandwiches. Parking is on the street and free, although you might have to drive around the little streets nearby or use the public parking.

DELICIOUS food (kudos to the chef). Good portions for the price. Food takes time cause it's bomb. #DontRushGreatness. Wonderful staff! Would love if open more hours to resume fun events ex: wine tasting open mic??? more chargers needed, clean bathroom. Parking lot small and tricky. Please be careful on that intersection. Traffic lights are meaningless to some. Beautiful decor ! And they change the menu :-) Go there it's lovely. Tell your crew but keep it classy. THATS IT! Phew. NOW GET COZY AND READ ON IF YOU HAVE THE TIME: The owner and her staff are so kind warm and welcoming! I've been coming here for what feels like a year? You walk in and feel instantly relaxed from the decor. Think ; vacation spot , "White Lotus" season 1 and 2 vibes. TIMING: The morning time is really popular from what I hear and there is sometimes a line. However go between 11-2:30 (closing time) and very calm 90% of the time. If/When there is a line people are so nice! No joke! Maybe because it's not a place you rush things. Everything is made fresh so some dishes take a bit of time. So I suggest going when you are not in a hurry. Or order to go. AMBIANCE: If you are a music lover, and enjoy international grooves, a French radio station or playlist is always on. Plus it's different styles of French music! There was rap, hip-hop, jazz, alternative. So while in line you'll probably find yourself tapping your feet. I really like the booths for the privacy. When it's busy those go QUICK. The basket chairs look glorious but I haven't tried them yet. Not sure if they are still up. But one day I'll nest in there...one day. NOW THE FOOD! The menu changes every so often which is exciting ! If you are minding your dollars and cents it's a bit pricey. HOWEVER, the food is great quality and from the dishes I've ordered the portions are a good size #WorthIt. I like their coffee and that they have milk alternatives. And I appreciate the menu is not overwhelming. If there are condiments they don't carry (due to the authenticity of the restaurant) they always recommend something comparable as a substitute. RECOMMENDATIONS: I dislike eating breakfast when it's not time for it. But when I come here? It's on! The goat cheese omelette is fluffy and delicious!! I add chicken to it que magnifique! (Hope that's right as I'm not using Ai in this moment . Apologies if it's wrong corrections welcome #respect) They had a juicy burger and it was so good they run out of it pretty often. The lox bagel has a decent amount of lox! The home fries aren't greasy (great with avocado for some reason) Bannana Bread is so tastes and moist! It feels more like a cake. I'd buy the whole basket but that would be unfair to "the OTHERS..." Just kidding lol. The lemon squares are about to be my new addiction too. But they keep it real sometimes popular dishes run out. And that's ok, it's a boutique spot. It's also a mini-rush when you order a dish that's finally available lol. ADVICE: PURPOSE: I'd come here for a smoothy after a workout. Breakfast with peers or a more relaxed business mtg. if you're in an ASL (Or any group/team) club like I was this is a great place to meet. The light is fantastic! They have their own wiFii. CLEANLINESS/KIDS? Their bathroom is clean. Place is spotless. You might see a table with dishes to be cleared but it's never overwhelming or a bunch of tables in that state so, chill! I'm not sure I've seen a lot of families with kids in there. And I'm not sure if I saw a changing table. I have a 4 year old so I look at things like that but I know they'd be very accommodating. DRAWBACKS?: I've only seen one outlet over a booth in the middle? So make sure you are charged up or have a looong chord. They also close pretty early when I'm there at 2:30pm. CREATIVE PLANS FROM STAFF: However, one of the baristas shared with me they used to be open longer. But due to Covid it's been slow. So they adjusted the hours. They have lots of ideas if things pick up. And I think in the past they did wine tasting with selections directly from France! I think they could have a fabulous open mic poetry night. Maybe even a small live band every so often. Game night classy style? hehe. If they allowed the tables to be moved I'd do an art premiere there! No joke #Ideas. YOU, yes you: Step one? Get more awesome people to adore this place like I do. So check it out! Enjoy the food and ambiance and the kindness. I'll see you at the open mic wish I could add a pic but maybe next time!

Everything was fresh, good portions and most importantly actually flavorful. The Seoul Bowl was the healthier option and still had plenty of flavor. The Po Boy sandwich was my fav.. not exactly "health food" but not overly heavy either. Just the right balance. I had never tried pea protein shrimp before so I was a little skeptical but it was surprisingly delicious and worked really well in the sandwich. We both like our food spicy and they were great about customizing it for us. They added jalapeños to my sandwich and gave us spicy mayo on the side which pretty much made the meal perfect for our taste. The grilled organic tempeh was the only thing I personally found a little bland but my wife really liked it so probably more of a preference thing than an issue with the dish. The Sunset Smoothie was thick, tasted great and was a very good portion.
