FOOD - delicious avocado toast, as always I have a hard time justifying anything more than $7 for an avocado toast, but it helped that this was yummy. It had avocado, radish, red onions, and goat cheese. It was yummy. SERVICE- Super sweet and welcoming staff. They were very nice people. AMBIANCE - Chill spot. Super cute space with lots of light, and felt quite warm in terms of feel. Very nice space and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Will definitely return, since we live around the corner.

I LOVE this coffee shop! It's your favorite cozy spot for super tasty drinks, yummy bites and amazing service! The owners are always around and always greet you with a smile and know your name- to me that says a lot

These bombolonis were a super tasty treat that hit the spot without being too big! they come in a variety of flavors.

I absolutely love the environment inside the restaurant. I love that it's not overly bright but light enough to see everything. I always breathe easier with all the green plants and it feels peaceful being surrounded by so many of them. I had to kill some time while waiting for my daughter who lives in Playa Del Oro, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to relax and treat myself to a teddy bear latte - upgraded to large and with oat milk. I also got the chia-misu pudding for a special treat and also with protein. Both of them were exactly what I wanted. They hit the mark, they had layered flavors and I love the different textures of the chia-misu - which did taste a lot like tiramisu. The total came to $24.30 for these two items (I did add a tip), which is more than I usually spend on coffee and a snack. To be honest, it surprised me. I truly appreciate the owner responding so quickly and explaining everything - it cleared up my confusion. In the end, it was worth it. I always prefer to support little coffee houses instead of corporate and would still consider going back for special treats.

Stopped in to grab a Matcha before hitting the airport. I was pleasantly surprised the flavor profile was really yummy and refreshing, it wasn't overly too sweet. It was a good consistency and not watery and the Matcha tasted good. It's a cute little coffee shop. And the barista was sweet.

Stopped by here on a Wednesday morning to kill time before an appointment. It's located right on the corner and easy to find. We parked for free in the garage around the corner. We both ordered Americanos and the coffee was delicious. I liked the vibe of this coffee shop; it was painted dark inside, with hanging plants, but sunlight coming in from the front windows. It wasn't crowded and there was good music playing, but we could still hear each other. The baristas were efficient and chill. Pastries up front that looked good as well. The customer bathroom could probably use more attention but at least it was there. I would return here if I was in the area again, recommend!

Dear Yelp Community, Visited for the first time. Really like the plants, corner location, and friendly staff. Avocado toast needs improvement. Continued well wishes. Sincerely, Anna

cute cafe. close to lmu. it was full of students (young looking people) and maybe those working remotely. Ordered the mango matcha latte. it's made with coconut milk, which is creamier than coconut water but not so thick as coconut cream. It's light and refreshing and hits the spot. service is friendly and fast.

Had the most amazing experience at point lume this morning! My matcha was so yummy and had the strawberry chia parfait and I absolutely inhaled it. I will be back

This place used to be Proper Coffee, but apparently they had to change the name due to Hotel June being next door and didn't like their "proper name" since that hotel is owned by Proper hotel group. The service was quick and friendly. My go-to is iced black coffee and it was very good and refreshing. The inside had wood decor and green landscaping. There were a handful of people working happily on their laptops. It's right next to LA Fitness, so it's always a nice stop after a workout.

This is a great place to work, study, or just relax near LAX. There is a lot of tables to sit at and plenty of outlets to charge your devices. They even have some regular USB and USB-C outlets! There are large floor to ceiling windows that face the street, which is really nice because it brings in a good amount of light and gives a nice street view. I got one of their seasonal drinks, the TeddyBear Latte (Iced), which was a good level of sweetness with honey and brown sugar. The staff was very friendly and helpful with their recommendations! Parking was relatively easy to find as well, as there is a large parking structure connected to the cafe and you can park there all day until 11 PM (that's what I was told).

It's clear that their kitchen and staff valued attention to detail, and was more than considerate of a luxe dining experience. I loved my farmers market margarita, and seed smoke mezcal cocktail, they were not overly boozy, but had been made with an even blend of flavor and dressed with complimentary ingredients. It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

The food has been enjoyable on my previous visits, which is why this last experience stood out. The food I ordered tasted great, and the beer and cocktails were excellent. Unfortunately, my friend's burger was served cold and wasn't cooked to his liking despite being specific about what condiments he could and could not consume. What disappointed me most was that our table felt rushed. From the time we sat down until the check was brought out, exactly one hour had passed. We were still enjoying ourselves and wanted to order another couple rounds of drinks, but the check arrived so quickly that it felt like we were being encouraged to wrap things up rather than continue our evening. I would've thought that was okay if the restaurant was busy, but it truly wasn't. Aside from our booth being in use, there were some people at the bar, another 2 booths occupied towards the kitchen side, and one table behind us at the corner in use, so it wasn't about them being busy. I'm hoping this was just a one-time experience because I've genuinely enjoyed my previous visits and would like to come back. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and I hope future visits feel a little more relaxed and allow guests to enjoy their time without feeling rushed to pay and leave.

I have been here a few times for dinner but this was first time for brunch. I made a reservation, was asked to confirmed reservation 3x, noted it was celebrating a birthday and gave no preference on seating. I arrived on time, but one of my group was parking. There were a few people milling around and I was greeted with "checking in?" No hello, no welcome, no mention of celebrating and told to let them know when entire party arrived. (This is becoming more common to be seated along with a $25 per person fee if I canceled less than 24hrs. I know restaurants are struggling but come on!) I watched as 'walk-ins' were given priority tables and when our party was complete, she was squeezing in a 3rd chair to a small cafe table right by the pass through door. No asking our preference. When she returned to seat us, I said "you're not putting us at that small table are you?" Her response - "yes...unless you want to sit inside." How was that not a conversation first? A professional would have said "I apologize, where would you prefer to sit? I see you made a reservation, are celebrating an event and we had some unexpected guests for seating options." Perhaps she was having a bad day, or was still reeling from a prior customer interaction but she was NOT up to the standards I equate with Manuela. Go for the food but don't think by making a reservation you get any special acknowledgement.
