We love this place and truthfully, I have no idea how a restaurant like this exists here in Lancaster. Located right across from LPAC, this place has a great menu. It's served as a place to have a nice little lunch for myself and my better half, as well a great place to take my entire family for dinnner. We've never been disappointed with a meal here. My first impression of the Lemon Leaf is that it is very spacious. Many reviews voice that the price and portions are unreasonable; which a case can be made. I personally didn't mind the price and portions once I tasted the food. Out of the multiple dishes I tried the food was well prepared, simple and clean. I don't know if we caught them on an off night (Friday), but to start the place was understaffed. We had to ask to be seated after waiting 15 min, while 3 empty tables were open. We were then told to just pick a table, which we did. All of the available tables needed to be cleaned. We stood at our table waiting for someone to realize that the table needed to be cleaned before we sat down. Bad start. The food was not at all outstanding. I've been here twice. And I just don't see what the big deal is. I suppose if I worked downtown and I had to walk to lunch, then this would be a destination. I really don't have a problem eating at a place where you order at the counter and then they bring it to you. However, the staff here seems to not be happy about their jobs. The food was okay. The first time we took my mother and my inlaws. It didn't go over well with them. The menu isn't kid friendly at all. Both times we've gone at off hours and it takes forever just for someone to come out front to take our order. Then the food took forever. And it just wasn't all that -- for example, the bread was a little too hard, like it was too close to the heat lamp for too long. I'd rather just go to the Greenhouse for the order at the counter and they bring it to you experience. They may not have the same high falutin' menu at Greenhouse, but you can taste the pretentiousness in the air at the Lemon Leaf. It doesn't do much for the food. read more

Really cute little restaurant on the BLVD. The AV needs more restaurants like this one. It has a lot of character. The space is just right, not too big and not too small. Only thing I wish they had, is outdoor seating. They have a lot of choices for deserts and I wish I could try them all in one sitting without feeling like death is near because my arteries got clogged. But eventually I will try all those delicious pastries on display. I had the spicy pink campanelle pasta with grilled chicken. It was very delicious and indeed very spicy. Food is trash they just smother their pasta in oil and call it Italian. The pizza is horrible don't know how to cook a decent pizza. The owner brags about her menu that she made it but all their food is mid. The prices are extremely high for store bought food and desserts. They are lucky that pour d vino at the blvd closed cause that was real food and their chef and menu was the best. But lemon leaf is so whack and the owner is horrible. She doesn't have any help I only see this one poor girl with red and black hair hustling to serve food back and forth and the other waitress named Kat I believe. The girl Kat taking her time, talking so rudely to employees and customers and on her phone. Hopefully the show restaurant impossible can make a episode helping showing there is no hope for this restaurant. The reason behind my 3 stars is because this place is very expensive for not even great pasta. The serving size to me are too small for the price. Although the food does taste good I feel I could get better pasta in town for a better price. I think the only reason they charge more is because it's healthier then most places. read more

I like the Lemon Leaf.. I have tried all of their pasta's, the portabella stuffed triangella's the best thing on the menu, its simply our of the park good. The portion size is perfect. All in all, a great meal at a great price. It bothers me that people rate this place as "pricey", at $10-$20 per dinner entreee, it is actually quite reasonable, and the ingredients are all fresh. The only thing I am not wild about is the whole "order at the counter" thing they have going, but still, if you're looking for great food in Lancaster, this place should be at the top of your list. read more

This is my second time here. They have really great food. I had their latte But unfortunately their machine wasn't working today. I was really hoping to have it since It's the best latte I have ever had. Today I had a regular coffee which is good. I also ordered the minestrone soup and it is homemade!!! Amazing. I never thought I'd ever see this day come, but per myself and my Italian boyfriend, their fettuccine pasta is actually comparable to Chi Chi's! My boyfriend thinks it's better but my favorite will still be Chi Chi's hehe. Nevertheless this place is definitely a must!! One of my favorite restaurants in town to eat. It is dine in style but you pay first like at Panera. The salmon is excellent. I like all of their dishes. This review is based on the Antelope Valley Country Club location in Palmdale, not the Lancaster Blvd restaurant. I would bet that most of the solid reviews are based on the Lancaster Blvd location, not the new location at the Antelope Valley Country Club. I gave Lemon Leaf a single star only because zero or negative stars was not an option. When the AV Country Club decided to bring on the Lemon Leaf Restaurant from Lancaster Blvd, I thought this could be a great combination. The Lemon Leaf was probably my favorite restaurant on the "Boulevard," Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris's attempt at gentrifying downtown Lancaster. The Lemon Leaf may find its stride at the Antelope Valley Country Club at some point in the future, but I would steer clear for now. This review is based on three increasingly frustrating visits in 2021, the latest in early April 2021. If you were familiar with the menu at the restaurant at Lancaster Blvd; it remains largely the same, focused on Mediterranean-inspired dishes. What once was innovative several years ago seems less remarkable now, but most people will find something that on the menu that captures their interest. I was a regular at the Lancaster Blvd location and by the modest standards of Lancaster, the restaurant was a solid hit. Be prepared for small portions and highish prices (especially considering the Costco-sampler sized pasta side dishes, which was also the case at Lemon Leaf's Lockheed Cafeteria project). However, the food is not the problem. The problem is abysmal service, which we experienced on three separate visits, all on weekends when the restaurant, which to be fair, is still getting its sea legs at the new location and having been whipsawed by LA County's everchanging COVID protocols. You sit down at one of the 5 or so tables in the back overlooking the golf course and wait 10-15 minutes before your presence is acknowledged. Another period of time will pass before you are provided with menus, likely the result of having to prompt the waits-person. It is likely that people that arrive after you and sit at a table next to you will receive attention before you do. On our most recent attempt to dine, the waits-person provided two of the three people at our table with menus, then pocketed the third and walked off. Another waits-person will come after another 5 minutes and ask for the non-bar drink order, then disappear, never to be seen again. Getting a drink from the bar involves a whole different process and a different staff, equally disengaged and self-involved in abstract busyness definitely not geared to providing you a drink. 45 minutes after sitting down, someone might take your bar or food order, but we didn't stick around to find out. If you have your heart set on eating at a golf course, go to Cascades (3905 Club Rancho Dr, Palmdale, CA 93551). The food is at least as good, the service is bracingly efficient, and you won't leave with the feeling you spent the afternoon getting the run around at the DMV. read more

I love the Lemon Leaf. The food is consistently good and the wait staff is always friendly and helpful. We have needed a place like this in Lancaster for a long time. They serve everything from salads and sandwiches to pasta, wraps and pizzas. Also a good selection of wine and beer. It's great for lunch because it's quick, even when the line is long. It's true that they don't have full table service. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. But they are always happy to get you any additional items that you may need without making you go back to the counter. Check it out! And remember to save room for the desserts. Visted Lancaster this week for work and it was a pleasure to eat at Lemon Leaf. I am here with a group of co-workers and last night they came to Lemon Leaf (LL) and they loved it so much that they wanted to go back tonight. So, this time I joined them and I was very impressed. The food was delicious and fresh- hard to find in these parts. The service was spectacular and the owner/ chef Maria Elena was always on hand. Placed a to go order and half way through it realized half of what should have been in the salad was no where to be seen. I ordered the southwest chicken salad, with no jicama. Well I was lucked out of eating the grilled zucchini, grilled onions, corn and black beans. So DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!! We went with a group of gals for a Christmas get together. I got to choose the place this time and I chose the Lemon Leaf. I felt so embarrassed because the service was terrible. The girl attending our table seemed to be annoyed and in a bad mood the entire time. We constantly had to ask for refills. At one point we ended up giving up. The ladies weren't at all excited to return. It's too bad because the food is amazing. $25 for pasta, a side salad and water is ok to pay for since it's quality food.
