UPDATE: I truly believe in factual reviews, not emotional ones. My review last January was as factual as possible with the information I had at the time. My experience at 524 W Greenwood Ave has been some of the most unnecessarily stressful of my 50 + years as a renter. I was a homeowner a few times during this time also I am very aware of the responsibilities of an owner and as a renter. Roberts client, and defacto mother/tenant have made it nearly impossible for Robert to have managed my tenancy properly. I want to believe, given the appropriate opportunity, I would have experienced a more favorable outcome. Robert, to my knowledge, has not been directly involved in the nefarious actions of his clients. The turning off of my heat and hot water on several occasions in the past month. The hiding of my trash cans. The theft of my mail and subsequent use of my bankcard by a family member. The constant harassment, verbal assaults, physical threats and finally lying regarding my exclusive use of a patio and then in retaliation, excluding it as a punishment. I believe Robert was acting in good faith regarding his client. However I have and continue to suffer greatly at the hands of his client. I can only close my eyes, click my heels together 3 times and repeat, "there's no place like home," and hope a house falls on top of his client. When I open my eyes I will be transported to the home of my dreams, on 3/2/2026, far, far away from this scary horrible place. I will pray for the next tenant! read more

We were tenants at one of there properties in Buena Park for over 5 years. When we left the owners were renovating the house. We were charged a ridiculous amount and owed more than what our deposit was. I felt very taken advantage of. Robert wasn't nice to me when I was alone, but nice when men were around. I spoke to the owner and they "lowered" the amount so we didn't owe anything but the remaining deposit. They charged us for a brand new sliding door when the door was in great condition. The bottom was cracked (but could have been fixed). I told them I would pay for that part, not a brand new door. Definitely looking into pursuing other avenues to get some of that deposit back. Just completed a year lease managed by Legends Property Management. My girlfriend and I were very pleased with the professionalism and management practices from Robert and the Legends Crew. Any issues that arose on the lease property were taken care of promptly and completed with a quality repair. Communication was great and there was never a time we felt, "Left in the dark." Unfortunately, we were unable to lease another property managed by Legends due to no properties available at the time of our lease expiration, but that was not their fault. From a Tenets Perspective: We had a very positive experience with Legends Property Management. They use a Portal for commications and to pay rent. It is the easiest most efficient system I've ever used. These guys have their act together! They were the most responsive property managers I've every dealt with in my life. The property was in perfect condition and when repairs needed to be completed we rarely waited longer than one day and most of the time we had someone out the same day. There isn't any company in this business that responds quicker. We spend 4 years at one of their properties in Irvine and they were a pleasure to work with throughout those 4 years. From move in to move out they were on the ball. I can't say enough how fortunate you will be to have them as your property manager. I wish they had the business in the new place we leased. I contacted the tenants of the house where work was to be performed, set up a time to write up a quote, and had a response from Robert quickly with the go ahead. LPM is responsible for the property next door per the renters, and in trying to talk to the owner before. We've called 4 times over the last 3 weeks with no return phone calls, so here we are. We also talked to the men that maintain the yard weekly...who had said they would trim the tree...and didn't...and then also said to call LPM. The neighbors palm trees are encroaching on our property that pose a danger, and are a nuisance. The palm tree needs to be maintained as the frawns are hanging way over on our side, and the stuff falling from it is difficult to clean up as it seeps into our freshly installed artificial turf. It's a mess, and takes us about 2 hours each week to clean. We tried many different ways to no avail. The only way which still took an hour was to vacuum in which it pulled up all the sand. We have to keep our new puppy away from that side, since he almost choked on one of the seed pods littering the lawn. There are also lots of rats running across the wall and yard that are typical with having Palms. The renters have laid traps for them as well, because it's been such a problem for them. The kids don't like to be out after dark, because they start coming over the fence to look for food and we see them everyday. It's honestly ridiculous to even have to call for something that should be maintained, and absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional to not get a call back to 4 of our attempts to have the situation rectified. Even the renters are having problems getting a response. If I can add pictures I will. We're hoping LPM simply calls us back, or asks their weekly maintenance men to trim the tree, or better yet, consider getting rid of them since they can't maintain them, and the rat problem is out of control. I first met Robert back in 2009 when interviewing potential Property Managers for our family home after my father's death, when he was with Kennedy Realty. He impressed me then with his attention to detail and knowledge about the process of preparing a home for rental. He guided me through legal and financial considerations, and was extremely helpful in finding reliable service providers (house cleaners, painters, carpet cleaners, plumbers and lawn service). I wanted to continue working with him when he started Legends. His expertise in finding and screening possible tenants became evident in 2012 when my first family of tenants moved on into their own home. I have had the pleasure of working with Legends Property Management for the past year. Robert has been very professional and knowledgeable in assisting with our rental property. Our calls have always been answered directly and immediately. Or in the event we have left a voice mail, our calls have been returned promptly, usually within an hour if not in a matter of minutes. Fiduciary duties are taken seriously. I feel that Robert tries to ensure both owners and tenants are treated fairly and respectfully. Attempts are made to resolve issues promptly to everyone's satisfaction. He does a very good job of mediating between owner and tenant. He tries to take care of repairs promptly and has been very good in communicating the status of repairs. He offers reasonable rates and tries to keep expenses down while still providing reliable property management and good quality repair services.
