    Cheese Steak Panini
    Monica L.

Nice surprise. Good food at good price. What else? Menu is extensive and with all the must haves. Portions where huge. We ordered chicken rice soup, onion soup, cheesesteak panini, legends breakfast and chicken fingers for kids+1 coffee. All in all $50 pretax pre tip. A deal! Soups were ok Chicken fingers good, crunchy outside, not dry inside Panini was actually amazing (I expected as much since they asked me how I liked the steak cooked) Legends breakfast was also good, hubbie liked it! Service was ok, I wished they were a bit friendlier

Great neighborhood diner. Good breakfast menu. Enjoyed my eggs Benedict. Friendly waitresses. Plenty of parking. Only diner in area. Diner motif.

We came back...it did not disappoint. Steak, eggs, pancakes: we're all set for the long drive home.

If you want to know a typical American place you have to try this restaurant. They serve breakfast all day long. The French toast is delicious with a slight cinnamon flavor. And the pancakes are delicious. The waitress who served us was super friendly and gave us a great service.

Good food, big portions. Friendly service. I had a western omelette with cheddar. Very tasty. Good home fries and toast.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich Moist & tender. The chicken is crisp and the wrap is not to thick so you get the the meat quickly.

Great place. The food was great. The employees were kind and answered all my questions. Recommend this to anyone who loves the classics.

Holy shmoly, I love this place. I am not usually in this part of town, so I honestly was not sure…read morehow I would be received when I walked through the door. But the staff was incredibly welcoming right from the start, and that alone earns them five stars. You never know what to expect in a new neighborhood, but they set the tone immediately. The vibe of the restaurant is very comfortable. It is the kind of spot you walk into after a long day or a productive day and you just know you are about to eat something good. It feels like a family run place, even if it is not actually run by family. It has that warmth. You can tell it is an important part of the neighborhood. I even noticed pictures of community members on the wall, which says a lot. Now, the food. There is hot food, cold food, and plenty of items you can take home. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich, and let me tell you, it was the size of a skinny football. I am not exaggerating. It took me almost a day and a half to finish it. It tasted exceptional, and I actually had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting so I would not slip into a food coma. One tip, eat it while it is hot. That is when it is at its peak power. My friend agreed with me about the overall vibe and quality. If I am ever in the neighborhood again, I will gladly go out of my way just to try more of their dishes. You do not find spots like this easily. New York City has great food, but a place with this combination of warmth, quality, portion size, and charm is rare. In another city, this could easily be a reservation only spot packed every night. Here, it fits perfectly in the community. Great job to everyone there. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

It was 40 mins before closing on a Sunday, the complete staff still made us feel lived and welcomed. They went through the menu with us, they described anything that was needed. Let's get to the beautiful ambiance, we sat outside and had a nice romantic evening together. The food was beyond delicious. I got a chicken cutlet parm with vodka sauce on a huge hero. The flavor was on point, texture of vodka sauce was NOT overwhelming. The amount of mozzarella they put on it was perfect to where it had a nice even melt. My bride ordered an eggplant wrap drizzled with sweet balsamic glaze. Cant wait to have to go to NJ for something again just to enjoy this place one more time!

The restaurant sits on a busy route with…read moreeasy access in and out, and the parking lot is large enough to accommodate many vehicles. The interior is visually impressive: elegant table linens, comfortable leather chairs, and a dining room that looks polished and upscale. When we arrived, what appeared to be the owner was greeting guests at the entrance. Since he was welcoming everyone and dressed differently from the rest of the staff, we assumed he was the owner. It was a great touch and immediately raised our expectations. Unfortunately, the experience did not fully match that first impression. We started with drinks: a glass of wine for me and an Old Fashioned for my wife. As happens too often in restaurants, the stronger drink was automatically assumed to be mine, and the drinks were delivered incorrectly. It's a small detail, but one that reflects attention--or lack of it. Bread arrived quickly, followed soon after by the food. I ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce. The dish was acceptable, but nothing extraordinary. My wife ordered the house seafood salad, which was very good--fresh, flavorful, and easily the best dish we had that night. Our waiter spoke limited English. Once he realized we also spoke his language, the service became noticeably more relaxed and somewhat overly familiar. He immediately tried to guide us toward the most expensive items on the menu. When I declined coffee after dinner, he responded by saying something along the lines of: "Well, that's your choice, but the coffee here is very good," which felt unnecessary. We also had a small issue with the Old Fashioned garnish. The orange peel looked unusual, so we asked for the drink to be replaced. The waiter did replace it, though he first tried to explain that what we thought were worms were simply marks on the fruit peel. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu, which the waiter promoted heavily as the best dessert to try. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver. Instead of the classic layered presentation, it arrived more like a cup full of cream with a few pieces of soaked bread and very little coffee flavor. The issue was not just the dessert itself, but the expectations created when it was described. Bareli's is a beautiful restaurant with a great location and atmosphere, but the service details and execution didn't quite match the level suggested by the setting.

And the milkshakes for the kids? Adorable. They loved them. This is a great spot for families or a casual lunch. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because our order got mixed up a few times. Our waitress was super sweet, very kind but there was definitely a communication barrier that made things a little confusing. It caused a couple mistakes with our order, which was a bit frustrating. To be fair, someone eventually stepped in to help and got everything sorted out. Overall, still a solid experience. They were terribly understaffed, which really isn't their fault or than poor HR hiring. Our server took our order and brought out our drinks. The soda syrup needed to be changed. When the buser came out with our dishes, I informed him of this and he said he would ask our server to the table. He never came until I managed to flag him down after 10 minutes. I told him about the soda, he did not offer to either look into it or offer a fresh beverage. He completely misunderstood the order of UNTOASTED bread (the bread was toasted) slathered with mustard, the meat of sandwich was unheated (pastrami should be steamed) and the plate was missing both pickle coleslaw, which were stated in the menu.
