    - Spacious, bright, and spotless restaurant tucked into one of American Dream's many nooks; large open dining room with outdoor seating and a private party room in the back - Surprisingly quiet during Black Friday lunch; mall stayed calm in the afternoon and got crowded by early evening - Friendly, attentive staff with quick, efficient service - Tasty dishes: Sesame Salmon Salad--perfectly cooked salmon over fresh greens with a light sesame-ginger dressing; Mixed Berry Waffle--fluffy waffles stuffed and topped with sweet berries, whipped cream, and berry syrup--almost dessert-worthy (wish it were a bit bigger); Kids' Grilled Cheese--simple but good; fries were hot and crispy - Takes reservations--great for dodging the food court dinner rush!

From fast food and chains to locally owned restaurants, American Dream Mall has dozens of places to eat. We have our favorites, like Yard House and House of Que. We have eaten at Around The Clock a few times and always enjoyed our food! It's conveniently located near the A entrance on the third level, across from Yard House and Big Snow. It's fairly spacious and also has seating just outside the restaurant if you want to look down and enjoy a view of the mall. The portions are huge. If you only plan to eat one meal at American Dream, this will fill you up. It gives classic NYC / NJ / Long Island diner vibes, but the menu isn't as extensive as you'll find at most diners. They do serve breakfast all day, which is nice. They also have craft cocktails, wine, and a few beers. The Santa Hot Chocolate with vodka and Irish cream looked delicious but we had a full day of shopping ahead so I drank water instead! Our food was phenomenal. And the portions were big! Maybe not as big as your typical diner, but very generous. The place is also known for hand dipped donuts and dessert milkshakes that we didn't try this time around. My son tried crab cakes for the first time and loved them. Three nice sized crab cakes and a portion of mac and cheese that could have been the main course. I had the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach. The garlic spinach was as good as I make it at home -- it's one of my favorite side dishes. My husband had grilled cheese with bacon and waffle fries and it was really good too! I was all set to give this place 4 stars ... until the server only stopped by once. My daughter got a milk refill but he didn't offer refills to anyone else. Then the waiter totally ghosted us. It wasn't that crowded... we had been seated immediately. Then we waited forever for the check (probably 15 - 20 minutes after we were done eating!) thinking he would check in and we could ask for the check. Nope. We finally had to flag him down as he delivered drinks to the table next to us and, even then, he went off to a "sidewalk" table first. No apologies or anything. I saw another woman dressed nicely who was running around, cleaning tables, even bent down to pick up food off the floor a child had dropped. She seemed to be the only person actually working! My husband said, "I hope she's an owner!" So I saw her as we were leaving and asked if she was the owner. I didn't get her name. I told her that we saw her hustling and appreciated it and the food was excellent!!! I said it seemed like she was the only person working and we thought she had to be an owner or manager! She laughed and said something like "yeah, that's how it is!" I'd consider going back for the quality of food but only if we weren't in a rush. (Which we weren't!) The owner definitely needs some better help! It's nice to see people working hard to create something nice and I hope this restaurant lasts. It's truly a unique experience in the mall.

I have been here twice before walking over to MetLife Stadium. I have had the Greek omelet twice and have been very happy with how it tastes. The coffee is good. The toast is yum. The service from the host and wait staff has been on point. The place is welcoming and clean. I will continue to come here for breakfast before the game!

Solid Jersey diner feel in the middle of the big American Dream Mall. The booths were spacious and comfy. It wasn't too busy when we went, so there was no wait, and it was pretty quiet. I was intrigued by their donut-topped milkshakes, but they weren't as complex-looking as the menu photos. It was just a glass for the milkshake and a donut on top. I was expecting more with chocolate sauce, sprinkles, whipped cream, etc. For $16 I expected more pizzazz (it was extra for a shot of alcohol.) I will say the cup of joe (coffee gelato, hazelnut syrup, glazed donut) was super sweet and decadent. It was definitely designed to share. It was thick but the wide straw made it easy to share. The flavor combo is a little more unique so it definitely felt like a special treat. The donut was also fresh, warm, and soft. It had good nostalgic vibes to sit and enjoy a milkshake, and they have a long menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have everything from the staples you'd expect to fancy cocktails.

THE GOOD ---------------- + Food was fantastic!!! ++++ Mixed Berry "Stuffie" French Toast was refreshing with plenty of mixed berries (strawberries, blackberries and blueberries). There was more fruit than French Toast, so it wasn't very heavy or filling. ++++ Sesame Salmon Salad was pretty much your typical, ordinary salad with fresh greens, tomatoes, carrots and radish, but the salmon was cooked PERFECTLY and was tender. ++++ Kids Grilled Cheese was pretty much what you would expect. Won't blow you away, but was solid for a regular grilled cheese sammie. Toast was buttered on the outside. + Diner is huge inside with PLENTY of tables and seats. + Interior is well-lit, sleek and very clean. + Made a reservation for Saturday, 12PM, but wasn't very busy at all. Plenty of open tables available during our meal. + Service was excellent! ++++ Waitress was friendly and came back to check on us a few times. ++++ Food arrived very quickly. ++++ Busboys cleared our table very fast. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Location of the diner isn't the best as the diner is tucked away where all of the other sit down restaurants are located at Court A, Level 3. Seems a majority of the foot traffic is by Court C. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Nada.

6/22/25: To beat the heat, we came for lunch at Around The Clock. I previously made a reservation on Resy, just in case of any crowds. Have seen large crowds at this restaurant in the evening. We came to the hostess station. We were met with a nice smile and escorted to a table on the inside patio. Our wonderful server was Lea. She gave us menus and ice water. The menus had quite a range of food. Breakfast is served all day. I ordered the Chicken Avocado BLT with fries. My bf ordered a turkey sandwich. Both meals came out within about 10 to 15 minutes Apparently, there was a mixup with his order. Anyway, it was easily corrected. Overall, the meals were delicious. My bacon was very crispy (w/o even asking) and my fries were very warm. "Around The Clock" is definitely a NJ Diner I would highly recommend. All the employees were very helpful. Lots of parking available in the American Dream Mall. I would definitely return here.

The food lacked a bit of flavor and the tap water was absolutely horrid. You can pay for filtered water or unfiltered and I was absolutely shocked at how bad the unfiltered water was. Don't let the water stop you though it's a nice breakfast place if you are hungry. The service was good. The restaurant was pretty empty at the time that we arrived but was otherwise very cute.

located inside of American dream mall on the top level. It's an amazing diner with tons of options for food. Service was very nice and quick. Everything flowed very well even though this restaurant is in the middle of a mall you're not missing the superior experience or service because it's still there. Portion size for food was large and reasonably price. It was very clean and well kept.

It's just about that time to grab a bite to eat while visiting the American dream mall. We stopped by Around the clock located upstairs 3 floor. The hospitality was "on point " "cordial" Friendly " All the things! Jay, our service had the greatest personally. We took our order, even followed some of the dietary restrictions I have. I would recommend coming here for a bite to eat

Convenient location, friendly service. Great menu selections and fantastic food. Really enjoyed my breakfast - eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection, berry stuffed French toast was really delicious. Will definitely stop by again.

This is a pic of the shake from the website but there wasn't even chocolate on top..

Although the staff appeared to try to be friendly, there was definitely a language barrier. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak that had way too much bread but the meat, white cheese, peppers and onions were tasty. My husband and son ordered the fancy shakes that were supposed to have donuts on them. They informed us that there wasn't any more donuts and asked if we still wanted them. We still ordered them but they just looked and tasted like regular shakes and were almost $15 and they didn't even take anything off.

Pleasantly surprised! I had read mixed reviews about this place but my experience was good. I came here to meet up with some friends and my one pregnant friend was craving pancakes so we chose this place based on the pancake pictures we saw online and yummm they were so good. We had the Nutella pancakes that comes with bananas, strawberries and whipped cream- delicious. We shared an order of avocado toast which was big enough for two , it comes with two slices of bread and avocado and one egg on each bread. We also shared the steak and eggs and the meat was very tasty. Overall we liked everything and enjoyed our meal. I will say the service was a little slow but if you're not in a rush this is a good place for breakfast. Their menu is extensive and includes lunch items , so I'll be back to try that next time.

Ugh i was really excited to try this place! Not often u find a diner in a mall! First lets start with the good. The place is beautiful! I love the design and decor. Reminds me of a trendy south beach restaurant. A huge bar and lots of booths and tables. Our server was very nice but English was not her first language so it was a bit of a challenge with ordering . My mom asked for fried shrimp and she got steamed shrimp and the young lady didnt seem to know what she meant. I ordered breakfast and figured how bad could that be....well. I asked for my bacon well cooked and it came out practically raw! They did bring it back to cook it more. Also my hash browns and eggs just tasted strange, in bit sure what it was. My son had the ribs and he did like them. It was just not what i thought it would be unfortunately. I would like to try their donuts next time so maybe if i come back i will just go for dessert.

    Definitely a big clock

Well, now. Finding truly authentic Venezuelan cuisine wasn't on my 2026 bingo card (as the cool…read morekids say), but I'm definitely stamping this square. Dios mio, what a meal! There was not a bad bite to be had. We might've cut the roofs of our mouths with the crisped-to-perfection Patacón, but I don't care--I think all sandwiches should be encased in fried plantain instead of bread. And the succulent pernil filling? Dios mio otra vez! Though, tbf, when is pernil ever a bad choice? Then there was the stuffed-to-the-brim Cachapa filled with carne mechada and Venezuelan cheese. It was enormous. Like, Jesus pulling from the neverending fish basket enormous. It never ended. We had to take it home. But before we did, I practically ate all of the arepa, which was the sweetest, bursting-with-corn-flavor arepa I've ever had outside of South America. It was so good, I practically cried with every bite. Tears of corny joy, mind you. We got an entree of grilled fish (Filete de Pescado a la Plancha), which came with a complimentary side--in our case, arroz amarillo cuz I gotta have my grains. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, meltingly tender on the inside. As with everything else, it was also way bigger than it had any right to be. Finally, we ended with what we THOUGHT would be a small item--the Arepa Arcoiris Llanero--but we were mistaken. It was stuffed so full of fresh avocado, shredded chicken, and various veggies that it had to be further encased in a paper wrapper for fear of the arepa wrap giving up on its job. We didn't make it more than a few bites before having to regretfully pack it home, but those few bites were chef's kiss. Venezuela has long been on my bucket list (who doesn't want to see Mount Roraima or Angel Falls?), but until I can get there, I'll be more than happy to "settle" for coming to this beautifully modern paradise of culinary delights. Throw in the huge portions and unbelievably low prices, and it's kind of a no-brainer to make the trip.

The service wasn't too bad, my cup ran empty every now and then but wasn't egregious. Let's talk presentation, the way drinks and food come out is clearly something the head of Maracaibo wanted to place extra detail on. Though the extra presentation is a bit gimmicky, it still got the job done for the most part. The sampler came in a giant Ferris wheel contraption. Not pictured, but my cocktail came with floating cotton candy. Nevertheless, the food was still incredible. The sampler is a must, not only for the presentation, but for the delicious eats that can push you out of your comfort zone. For first time Venezuelan eaters the amount of ways plantain could be prepped and served may be jarring, but I would encourage bravery and just try everything and anything you can on the sampler. Each bite was worth it! Let's talk main entrees, you won't be disappointed by the portions. If you enjoy plantain, definitely go for the patacon - if not, I'd suggest holding off as you may get your fill of it elsewhere. The skirt steak (churrasco) was cooked to my liking, went well in my patacon sandwich. It is massive, I couldn't eat it all - had to take some back. Onto the arepa bowl. Though the contents of the bowl instead could be something you may get elsewhere (like Chipotle for example), it's the addition of the arepa bowl blended with the flavors of everything else and the sauces they drizzle on top that completes this dish. It's unique and it screams for you to taste and pay attention. Overall - great foods, great ambiance, great people. Bit gimmicky but it is what it is.

I chose the burger with fries. The burger patty itself was OK, standard chain restaurant bland-ish ground beef, but it was topped off with four or five very small slices of very cold, very fatty and very tough brisket with nary a hint of smoked goodness which is the hallmark of any good barbecue. The service was still professional and friendly, but the food left something to be desired. Though it was a Thursday evening, the weather was not great, so it was not overly surprising that the restaurant was not very crowded. Because of that fact, the gracious hostess offered us our choice of a few different tables, from a larger booth to a two-top near the window. We opted for the booth that would give us a chance to look out into the restaurant AND to still see the Manhattan skyline. We decided to order some drinks, and I opted for an Espresso Martini, which was not typically something I would have gotten before dessert, but I wanted the extra caffeine! Plus, their version included a caramel cold foam, which enticingly made it extra creamy and delicious. In fact, it was definitely one of the best espresso martinis I had ever had. We were deciding to skip any starters, so we asked for some bread while we waited for our entrees. The plate of focaccia was decent and hit the spot, but we were charged $2 for it, which was not a big deal but also not appreciated. For my entree, I went with the Lobster Bouillabaisse. The broth was flavorful, but there was not much of it. In fact, the dish came with three sweet rolls to dip into the soup, but I could have lived with less given the limited amount of liquid in the bowl. The included blue prawns were good, but the Hokkaido scallops and lobster were chewy. There was also supposed to jumbo lump crab, which seemed to have been replaced by gritty clams. There were also leeks and Yukon potatoes that were sliced in small cylinders and looked fairly similar to each other. The potatoes were bland, cold, and under-cooked. Overall, it was not very impressive for $48. My companion's Prime Filet Mignon was of an unknown size on the menu, but arrived looking smaller than the typical 8-ounces. It was also over-cooked. He did like his mashed potatoes, though. For dessert, we decided to get the Apple and Pear Bread Pudding again, since that had been excellent last time and would hopefully be a redeeming feature of the meal, which it was. The sweet, caramelized brioche had been infused with cubes of fruit, baked, and drizzled with a sea salt caramel. We replaced the designated companion creme fraiche gelato with a scoop of passion fruit sorbet, which was less of an appropriate pairing, but more of an appealing variety to us. While Drift truly offered a stunning space with incredible service, they really could improve their culinary preparations.
