And the milkshakes for the kids? Adorable. They loved them. This is a great spot for families or a casual lunch. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because our order got mixed up a few times. Our waitress was super sweet, very kind but there was definitely a communication barrier that made things a little confusing. It caused a couple mistakes with our order, which was a bit frustrating. To be fair, someone eventually stepped in to help and got everything sorted out. Overall, still a solid experience. From fast food and chains to locally owned restaurants, American Dream Mall has dozens of places to eat. We have our favorites, like Yard House and House of Que. We have eaten at Around The Clock a few times and always enjoyed our food! It's conveniently located near the A entrance on the third level, across from Yard House and Big Snow. It's fairly spacious and also has seating just outside the restaurant if you want to look down and enjoy a view of the mall. The portions are huge. If you only plan to eat one meal at American Dream, this will fill you up. It gives classic NYC / NJ / Long Island diner vibes, but the menu isn't as extensive as you'll find at most diners. They do serve breakfast all day, which is nice. They also have craft cocktails, wine, and a few beers. The Santa Hot Chocolate with vodka and Irish cream looked delicious but we had a full day of shopping ahead so I drank water instead! Our food was phenomenal. And the portions were big! Maybe not as big as your typical diner, but very generous. The place is also known for hand dipped donuts and dessert milkshakes that we didn't try this time around. My son tried crab cakes for the first time and loved them. Three nice sized crab cakes and a portion of mac and cheese that could have been the main course. I had the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach. The garlic spinach was as good as I make it at home -- it's one of my favorite side dishes. My husband had grilled cheese with bacon and waffle fries and it was really good too! I was all set to give this place 4 stars ... until the server only stopped by once. My daughter got a milk refill but he didn't offer refills to anyone else. Then the waiter totally ghosted us. It wasn't that crowded... we had been seated immediately. Then we waited forever for the check (probably 15 - 20 minutes after we were done eating!) thinking he would check in and we could ask for the check. Nope. We finally had to flag him down as he delivered drinks to the table next to us and, even then, he went off to a "sidewalk" table first. No apologies or anything. I saw another woman dressed nicely who was running around, cleaning tables, even bent down to pick up food off the floor a child had dropped. She seemed to be the only person actually working! My husband said, "I hope she's an owner!" So I saw her as we were leaving and asked if she was the owner. I didn't get her name. I told her that we saw her hustling and appreciated it and the food was excellent!!! I said it seemed like she was the only person working and we thought she had to be an owner or manager! She laughed and said something like "yeah, that's how it is!" I'd consider going back for the quality of food but only if we weren't in a rush. (Which we weren't!) Solid Jersey diner feel in the middle of the big American Dream Mall. The booths were spacious and comfy. It wasn't too busy when we went, so there was no wait, and it was pretty quiet. I was intrigued by their donut-topped milkshakes, but they weren't as complex-looking as the menu photos. It was just a glass for the milkshake and a donut on top. I was expecting more with chocolate sauce, sprinkles, whipped cream, etc. For $16 I expected more pizzazz (it was extra for a shot of alcohol.) I will say the cup of joe (coffee gelato, hazelnut syrup, glazed donut) was super sweet and decadent. It was definitely designed to share. It was thick but the wide straw made it easy to share. The flavor combo is a little more unique so it definitely felt like a special treat. The donut was also fresh, warm, and soft. We were at AD enjoying some of their experiences and decided to try a new spot for lunch (we were tired of McBeast and Yard House). We are glad we went here! Great diner-ish food with very friendly service (she was always checking on us). Inside had the diner vibe (seats, tables, atmosphere). Kids shared a pulled pork sandwich and pancakes (interesting combo). I had the cobb salad with breaded chicken (I don't trust griled chicken at most spots). Wife had a salad as well. We were all pleased with our meals. We skipped the dessert but they have gelato, cakes, donut bar (make your own) and shakes. Overall a nice experience in a bustling mall. 6/22/25: To beat the heat, we came for lunch at Around The Clock. I previously made a reservation on Resy, just in case of any crowds. Have seen large crowds at this restaurant in the evening. We came to the hostess station. We were met with a nice smile and escorted to a table on the inside patio. Our wonderful server was Lea. She gave us menus and ice water. The menus had quite a range of food. Breakfast is served all day. I ordered the Chicken Avocado BLT with fries. My bf ordered a turkey sandwich. Both meals came out within about 10 to 15 minutes Apparently, there was a mixup with his order. Anyway, it was easily corrected. Overall, the meals were delicious. My bacon was very crispy (w/o even asking) and my fries were very warm. "Around The Clock" is definitely a NJ Diner I would highly recommend. All the employees were very helpful. The food lacked a bit of flavor and the tap water was absolutely horrid. You can pay for filtered water or unfiltered and I was absolutely shocked at how bad the unfiltered water was. Don't let the water stop you though it's a nice breakfast place if you are hungry. The service was good. The absolute worst service you will ever receive. You can get better service at a McDonalds honestly. Get seated and wait 15 minutes for someone to eventually come and ask "Did you need anything else?" The table is obviously empty and waiting to order. A total of 5 tables throughout the place and 3 servers behind the counter laughing and playing around? Food came out promptly and was ok but now I am seeing more servers walking around and actually providing service to other tables. Had a table behind us just walk out because nobody took their order (was there before me) The management needs to get a grip on their employees and re-train everyone especially the host. I've managed and worked in 5 restaurants while managing 3 at the same time together. This is something that would never happen or should ever happen. Saw the server twice throughout the place. Pleasantly surprised! I had read mixed reviews about this place but my experience was good. I came here to meet up with some friends and my one pregnant friend was craving pancakes so we chose this place based on the pancake pictures we saw online and yummm they were so good. We had the Nutella pancakes that comes with bananas, strawberries and whipped cream- delicious. We shared an order of avocado toast which was big enough for two , it comes with two slices of bread and avocado and one egg on each bread. We also shared the steak and eggs and the meat was very tasty. Overall we liked everything and enjoyed our meal. I will say the service was a little slow but if you're not in a rush this is a good place for breakfast. Ugh i was really excited to try this place! Not often u find a diner in a mall! First lets start with the good. The place is beautiful! I love the design and decor. Reminds me of a trendy south beach restaurant. A huge bar and lots of booths and tables. Our server was very nice but English was not her first language so it was a bit of a challenge with ordering . My mom asked for fried shrimp and she got steamed shrimp and the young lady didnt seem to know what she meant. I ordered breakfast and figured how bad could that be....well. I asked for my bacon well cooked and it came out practically raw! They did bring it back to cook it more. Also my hash browns and eggs just tasted strange, in bit sure what it was. My son had the ribs and he did like them. It was just not what i thought it would be unfortunately. Granted we arrived at the early end of the dinner shift on a holiday weekend without a reservation in a busy mall and we're informed of a 20 minute wait. We were seated after 25 minutes. They were terribly understaffed, which really isn't their fault or than poor HR hiring. Our server took our order and brought out our drinks. The soda syrup needed to be changed. When the buser came out with our dishes, I informed him of this and he said he would ask our server to the table. He never came until I managed to flag him down after 10 minutes. I told him about the soda, he did not offer to either look into it or offer a fresh beverage. He completely misunderstood the order of UNTOASTED bread (the bread was toasted) slathered with mustard, the meat of sandwich was unheated (pastrami should be steamed) and the plate was missing both pickle coleslaw, which were stated in the menu. read more

If you are looking for a yummy spot to eat at American Dream, don't come here. Pretty much everything here tastes like an at home frozen meal but worse. During my visit, I had a chicken wrap, which was super bland. I had a bite of my friend's fries and fried shrimp, which were once again very meh. This place looks like a really cool, upscale diner with plenty of seating, but even the service was disappointing. We visited on a day where a concert started after we were seated. Almost every other table was offered to move tables further from the sound, but we were not offered this. We couldn't even flag down our waiter most of the time. Experienced Around The Clock, for the first time, and it was very enjoyable. It is located directly across from the Yard House restaurant, has a large...and comfortable...seating area, and a full bar. ATC also has a cool half-moon seating area, extending from the restaurant, as you'll view in my pics. Our server, Miguel, was exceptional and tended to us like we were his only customers. Every item that we ordered was delicious. The Denver Omelet was large, fresh, and filling. The blueberry pancakes were delectable. Not only was it stacked to three levels, but it also had blueberry between each pancake. The side order of turkey bacon had the perfect crispness and salt. Around the Clock is a busy diner inside the American Dream Mall. The menu is made of typical diner food which is just what we were in the mood for. It was dinner time but I was in the mood for French Toast and my date wanted dinner. Perfect. Our server was sweet and attentive to us. For my dinner I ordered the peanut butter and banana French Toast. I ordered itnsoecualnwothout honey but added Nutella on the side. There was way too much peanut butter on each slice. I don't know how anyone could eat all of it. The Nutella was a nice added touch. My boyfriend ordered the hot open turkey sandwich which he really enjoyed. It was fresh turkey, not deli meat. That's the one thing he always asks when ordering that dish out. I tried his mashed potatoes and they were really good. We are probably never going to that mall again because it's nottt hbu big to write home about so we will probably not go back unfortunately. I came on a Saturday around 6pm and it was BUSY which was great to see! The restaurant is beautiful and the service was super fast, friendly and informative. I ordered the 'Mediterranean Pizza' which was olive oil, feta, olives & spinach. I did not really enjoy the crust... it was more of the cracker crust and very tough. But the flavor of the pizza and toppings was great! My husband had the 'Half and Half burger' which was 50% ground prime beef & 50% ground bacon with American, cheddar & chipotle mayo. This burger was... sad. Wendy's has bigger burgers than that. The burger was so small and so thin, he literally ate it in maybe 3 bites. He did enjoy the fries that came with it but he would never get this again I think we would come back based on the service, but we would definitely try different meals. The menu and our waitress did not mention chicken sandwich came with fries or we would have swapped for a salad. The chicken was okay, a bit chewy and not that hot. I ordered the pastrami on rye bread with mustard on the side. Pastrami sandwich came with tons of mustard on toasted bread! I did not ask for toasted bread! When we got the check waitress charged us for a 2 bowls of soup, not cups. I don't know how our waitress got our orders wrong. It was not busy and she wrote everything down.
