A yellow cocktail with ice cubes and a lemon slice garnish is positioned on a dark marble table. The drink has a salted rim and a black straw. In the background, there is a lit candle in a decorative holder and a glass of red wine, suggesting a bar or lounge setting with ambient lighting.

Stopped by for drinks on a Friday night around 9 pm. There was a crowd but it wasn't packed and there were a couple high tables and couch seating available. The guy at door said we could only sit for an hour. You're lucky I'm even sitting here at all having average $20 cocktails. Drinks were good, clever names and unique combination. Service was snooty. Good spot for a date. Moody atmosphere and good music.

This is by far my favorite cocktail bar in Hoboken. We come here all the time and the drinks are consistently incredible no matter what season (since their menu changes seasonally). The service is also impeccable. Special shoutout to Taj and Macarena for being the greatest bartenders and servers. The overall ambiance and vibe of this cocktail bar hits the spot every time. We tried a cocktail making class recently here as well and it was sooo much fun! We learned how to make drinks, learned about the history and drank and ate some small bites all for only $75. Definitely will do it again.

Coffee Caramel Crunch - A dessert is presented in a white bowl containing a glossy, dark spherical element, possibly a chocolate or mousse, surrounded by chocolate shavings. The bowl is placed on a dark marble table. In the background, there is a glass of water, a lit candle in a textured glass holder, and part of a person's arm and clothing are visible.

The vibe in here was trying to go for a speakeasy-backstage vibe but I thought the entire service and ambiance was off. First, there is no host greeting you at the front, you need to sort of flag down their attention to get seated. Then, there's no one attending to your menus or waters, you also needed to flag someone down to get that service. I would understand if this was a standing room type bar, but it's supposed to be a relaxed speakeasy type feel. The music the whole time was simply way too loud, you can barely hold a conversation without yelling the whole time. We ordered a dessert that was clearly premade, and the dishes that were set on our table were still wet with water from the dishwasher. The one saving grace is that the drink I got was pretty good, but at around $20 for a drink I expect better service and attentiveness. Disappointed to say the least as they are affiliated with Sirenetta and Sorellina which I've loved my experiences at.

Really like this place for drinks and the lobster biscuits. Seasonal cocktails. Low key evening vibe.

Could've used better shading at 5p on a sunny day, hard to see during the dinner depending on where you were seated. Live music that day which made it a bit harder to hear the conversations. Fruity drinks, and some drinks were out of stock on the menu, forced the guys to change things up. Water provided had stuff in it (not sure what, but they changed out all the glasses for us). Sushi was ok, the oysters a bit on the small side (East Coast?), with no cocktail sauce. Burrata on toast was good, though. Service was good, generally - small area for the server so she came back to us relatively frequently. Busy, too - we were lucky that we came early and could get a seat - later it was busy and no spare seats to be seen (folks waiting). Elevator is keyed by the doorman (since it's also a hotel).

However, they recently revamped the space, updating the decor to ensure that the W Hotel remains at the forefront of modernity. The small, linear bar was moved from one side of the room into the center and was now a larger, semi-circle to make it easier to converse with neighboring imbibers. The space maintained its lounge feel, with couches and comfortable chairs scattered around the bar. A main change was that, instead of the Living Room being visible to anyone that walked into the hotel lobby, it was now hidden behind a translucent wall of lights, only visible to those that entered. That change enabled the bar to be more exclusive, or "discreet", as we heard someone mention at the bar, haha. The place was reasonably crowded on the Friday evening, and we grabbed seats at the bar in order to be more social. To that end, we had some interesting conversations with both locals and hotel guest. Also, our bartender, Jose, was excellent! He was engaging to speak with and also crafted fantastic cocktails. The Espresso Martini he made for me had a very robust coffee flavor and just the perfect hint of sweetness; it was definitely up there on my list of top espresso cocktails. The bar had a list of really creative and unique drinks, and I had initially wanted to try the Kyoto Bridge with Haku vodka, sake, ceremonial matcha, and yuzu, but Jose had told me that he did not have the necessary sake for it. However, he assembled my martini with such perfection that I did not mind having a more basic drink on that visit; I could always go back to try the Kyoto Bridge and certainly will after such an enjoyable experience!
