Always an amazing dining experience! Having worked in hospitality training for over 3 years, I am not the easiest to please when it comes to customer service. Here at Lee's, it just feels so easy. Even after just going there one time, the next time we went, they treated us like they've known us for years. Always made sure our needs were met without hovering. Aside from their absolutely delicious meals, they offer complementary mini starters that I feel are a great way to not feel like you're waiting too long on your meals. The box was huge and I loved everything but the chicken teriyaki. The chicken was very over cooked but everything else was fantastic. So much food and the price couldn't be beat at $13.95. I have frequented Lee's and ordered takeout and delivery many times and it went from a decent 3 stars to 1. I will never again order from Lee's. This is my review of my overall experience over the years. First, everytime I have ordered food for takeout or delivery, they ALWAYS leave out several items and when I call, they generally do not try to address it. A couple of times, they made up for it by giving me extra salads. Once, they even said they would come by my house to drop it off and they never did so they also lied about that. They didn't call back either. Second, they know that they are pretty much the only Korean restaurant west of Bergen County so they can be very mediocre and get away with it. Drive a bit further east, you will getter quality food for sure! Third, this all culminates to one of the rudest staff I have ever met in NJ and NYC. Lastly, they did something borderline dangerous that would possibly subject themselves to a lawsuit for food poisoning if they ever continue like this. As a sushi place, they have no sense of how important it is to manage deliveries related to raw fish. I placed an order of sashimi and sushi for delivery and it happened to be on a very very hot day. The driver had my order in his car and drove to different places and despite the a/c he had in his car, the sushi and sashimi got all warm and hot and any longer, it would have gotten bad fast. I had to call to get attention to it and then, my order got delivered. I had to refrigerate it for a bit, unsure whether it had gone bad. It didn't, fortunately! If the driver had taken longer, obviously, warm rotten raw fish would have been absolutely disgusting if not edible. After this, it will be a long time I can ever eat sushi and sashimi again and I won't ever be getting that from Lee's. I highly recommend they have better food management -- orders and delivery system -- and people management in place. I gave this place many chances despite the mistakes they made and the occasional rudeness. I prefer driving to Palisades Park to get better, cheaper quality food that is accompanied by superior service. read more

Amazing sushi restaurant! My boyfriend and I eat here very often, it's always fresh and delicious. The prices are great and the atmosphere is incredibly attractive and decor appropriate for each holiday--on mother's day the employees gave roses to the women who brought their children. overall, i would recommend this place to anyone who loves good sushi and even better service. You ever stumble in somewhere just because it's convenient with no preconceived notions? You know the type of place. Maybe it's near work or you're driving somewhere, get hungry and look for the closest place to eat. For the former reason I walked into Lee's Sushi last week and was pretty damn thrilled with the experience. The sushi was fresh, delicious and more than reasonable. Staff was polite and attentive. They offered me a small salad that I didn't order and after my meal gave me a mini bottle of what I guess was some sort of Asian digestive that was also pretty damn good, both on the house. Decor is typical Japanese suburban with tables, booths and a requisite sushi bar. I've eaten in a number of sushi places in the Wayne area, none of which have been memorable with one blaring exception. If you're in the area and looking for a really great place or even if you're not, it's worth the drive. Give Lee's a try. You'll be more than happy you did. read more

Been here a couple times lately just because they're one of the only sushi places in the area that don't close for a couple hours in the middle of the day. I definitely recommend eating in rather than taking out (at least my experience was better this way). The menu is large and they offer a large variety of rolls and other Japanese specialties. Getting a dinner box is definitely the best bang for your buck, but a lot of the rolls are really good as well. The spicy rice they bring out is one of my favorites. I just wish they had an ayce or some other special since the rolls can get pricy. read more

Food is usually half decent but overpriced for what it is. Most of my experience has been takeout given the times and the customer service for takeout orders is terrible. Food always takes longer than they say. Orders are often wrong/missing something and when you make them aware there is absolutely no accountability from the restaurant or any attempt to make the customer happy. They try to blame it on the customer or play dumb to not have to refund or provide credit. A little customer satisfaction could go a long way! Unfortunately there are just very limited options offering Asian food/Japanese/Korean in the area so eating here is more out of convenience and desperation. read more

Many people in my town were raving about this place, so I decided to give it a try, and now I'm kicking myself for not going sooner! The sushi I picked up was tasty and so fresh, and they were able to accommodate my request for brown rice--I was pleasantly surprised that it was the purple, whole-grain kind, the super healthy kind that I used to eat with my family. I'm not a fan of Asian food in general, but even for someone like me there were many delicious options in this place. I went for salmon teriyaki which was pretty good. The other family members tried a variety of rolls. I tasted shrimp tempura and liked it. The only annoying part was the really long wait time to be served. Ten percent discount for cash is a perk and the kids loved the Korean ice cream that came as a treat at the end. The food here was extremely fresh and a reasonably priced. We started our meal with Shumai and Edamame. We then got 3 specialty rolls Rainbow Roll, Fire Roll and Dancing Dragon roll. It was so much we didn't even finish it all. All in all our bill was $53 and we paid cash and received 10% off our bill. The waitress gave us complimentary rice and Mochi. I was searching for a New Sushi spot and found this great place thru Yelp! Walking in the door they have a great looking display of some samples of their food for someone who is unsure of what to order. Now the service was very friendly and the place was immaculate clean. My daughter who loves sushi ordered the spicy crab salad and I ordered the avocado salad. Both were delicious and looked great. I ordered the eel roll and spicy salmon roll and loved them. My daughter ordered the rainbow roll and said it was great. I also ordered the kimchee because it's something I love and it hit the spot! Update 8/6/17: Well, this place is out of the rotation. I tried calling today to place an order for pickup. I called 5 times with no answer. One time, it sounded like somebody picked up because I could hear background noise in the restaurant, so I waited for a minute but still nobody answered. My husband then showed up at the restaurant in person and waited at the host stand. After waiting a while, nobody ever acknowledged him. What a waste of time. I'm leaving two stars here because the food is good if you can get it. Original review: A coworker recommended this place to me, so my husband and I stopped in for dinner one Sunday. Out of all of the local sushi places we've tried, they can be split between (1) places I like, (2) places he likes that I'm sick of and (3) places we both dislike. Sooo, it was time for a change! We were seated near the door, which made for a chilly evening, but it was made tolerable with hot soup. Due to the freebies (seaweed and sushi rice) and sides (salad and/or miso soup) we were already starting to fill up by the time our sushi arrived! To no one's surprise, we ordered way too much. One roll each would have been plenty, as the fancy rolls are big! The nigiri was perfectly proportioned, with not too much rice or too small/big cuts of fish. We ordered a "special" roll, which came with a generous amount of fish. Yum! My spicy tuna roll was actually spicy--yay!! The service is quite slow, but since it's a BYOB, that's not the worst thing.
