    My Vietnamese coffee addiction. :/
    Marianne C.

It's been a while since I last stopped in to get a sandwich here at Lee's. I usually get their #1 which is the combination banh mi. Same good taste but I think there are mom and pop banh mi places around especially in Garland that are better In my opinion. They also sell other Vietnamese rice cakes and treats that I haven't had the chance to try since I'm not very familiar with a lot of them. The line can get long here around lunch time but I didn't have that problem during this visit. Keep your receipt after paying to keep up with your order number. They usually call out the number in Vietnamese so sometimes it's hard to figure out. I just stand by the pick up area and kinda show them the number on my receipt when they are calling one out. This is extra important when they are dishing out one sandwich after another. Their signature coffee is the one that stand out the most. It creamy, sweet, and very strong. It's definitely the drink to try here.

I love coming here I always get the grilled pork bahn mi with the iced coffee. Super tasty and fresh ingredients for a very reasonable price! I usually just go through the drive through, but this restaurant is attached to a huge market full of goodies so I would definitely recommend going in to shop around before or after picking up a delicious sandwich at Lee's!

    #1 combination, Vietnamese ice coffee

The Lee's sandwiches are not very good in my opinion. There is a banh mi #1 in the same food court just a few steps away that is better with more variety and softer breads. I got the traditional combination #1 the bread hard and whole sandwich super drying, the ice coffee has very little coffee and mostly ice.

I've heard a lot of good things about the coffee here, but didn't find it "all-that". Overall, decent experience and not much to say! Hoping to try it again soon sometime for a better experience.

    #81 Bacon, Egg, and Cheese

Picky eater approved. Great for all of you who love breakfast anytime. I ordered the #81 Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. It comes on a fresh baguette, which was soft, flaky and delicious. I washed it down with a Thai Tea, no boba.

They have a selection of Vietnamese sandwiches and various snacks such as banh bao, banh bot loc, egg rolls, etc. Service is good. Lots of seats and TV showing soccer, Viet coffee selections and free wifi. They're located right by the Saigon mall entrance. Good ambiance for hanging out, chatting with friends and family and snacking/drinking coffee.

This location is suppperrrr busy specially on weekends.. the coffee is pretty delicious, sandwiches are nothing special. Parking at this location is crazy.

Sugar cane drink here is no good. In my personal opinion it tastes like sugar cane diluted with too much sugar and water....not pure sugar cane. Jumbo size here is the same as size large at Di 7 next door. Di 7 has what tastes like pure sugar cane drink. Will stay with Di 7 :)

I used to go to Lee's Sandwiches back at home in CA. I've lived in Texas since 2011 and had NO idea that I could get my Lee's Sandwiches fix here in the DFW! I live in North Arlington & we are spoiled with the classic Ba Le Banh Mi's here but 8 just HAD to see if this location lived up to my California childhood memories. It was a little bit of a drive, but the nostalgia was so worth it to me. Location: The restaurant name was a little bit hard for me to find, since it's located inside of an Asian shopping center. You will see it towards the left of the shopping strip. When we walked in from the parking lot entrance, there was a little bit of confusion on our part because there was multiple windows and the register area to order food was really crowded with pre packaged goodies. Follow the cute aisle starting from the mall entrance to your right (assuming you're also using the parking lot entrance) and you'll make it to the register without the confusion we had. Service: The servers behind the register were so nice and patient with us. Since I hadn't been in awhile, and my husband and mother in law has never been, we ordered very slow. They didn't rush us or get impatient. Granted, there was no line behind us, but I still loved the service enough to mention it. Food Quality: I'm going to be honest with you, I can't say the Banh Mi's here are better than Ba Le in Arlington because it just wouldn't be fair! The sandwiches at Lee's are different and deserves to be recognized for its own qualities. I love the thin Do Chua (pickled carrots/daikon slaw) on the sandwiches. I feel like this gave the sandwich a more uniform flavor in each bite. You get a little bit of meat, a little Do Chua, a little Mayo, cilantro, cucumber, and Paté every time. The bread was a little tougher than I remember, but the flavor of the meat really made up for it. We tried to Vegetarian, BBQ Pork, Grilled pork, and Combination. Their Vietnamese coffee is SOOOO good! I wish they didn't put so much ice, because the drink was gone in like 4 sips, but man, it was absolutely delicious. The Thai Tea was good too - a little on the sweeter side, but not overly sweet. They got it just right. Value: They had a buy 4 sandwiches get 1 free special. It seems to be a permanent special, so we took advantage of the deal. Each sandwich was roughly $4, but they are quite large, imo. They are worth the money and I think they were generous with the paté, which isn't always the case, so I was surprisingly delighted. Overall: I'm so pleased to finally be able to have Lee's Sandwiches again! I'll be returning regularly so my 9 month old son can enjoy his own memories of this childhood staple of mine. The quality is still there, and the service is still as quick as I remember.
