Worst experience I've ever had ... aggressive after I asked the female nail tech to fix my nails... she did a Chop job and acted angry as if she was doing me a favor... took my money no problem tho. The eyebrow lady was extremely rude and nasty, when I asked about her services. It was my first time there. i changed my mind on the services that I originally stated, before she got started. She got upset. I tipped her, because that's my way of being blessing to mean and unkind people. I would never go to Lee's unless you are looking to get your eyebrows done by Lynn because she is the BEST! I went to get a full set and pedicure. The pedicure was fine but very basic for $35. No scrubs or lotions just some oil on your legs. But the work was decent and it was shellac so I was fine. Now the full set on the other hand came out TERRIBLY! The lady acted like he was rushing and it shows in her work. She cut me TWICE and all she did was keep saying "sorry" over and over. And the set doesn't look smooth AT ALL. Very clumpy and dented. The older man working the front desk, completely ruined my day. He has been there for at least 10 to 15 years and never been welcoming, kind or happy to see a customer in my opinion. I told him I would like a nail refill and POINTED at my nails and he let me sit there for an hour. I sat patiently then and went to check with him and he said they're closing in 30 minutes. He missed my appointment request because he has ear phones in because he doesn't want to be bothered while his watching a movie on his iPhone with the plexiglass in between him and the customer as an extra barrier, even though the pandemic has been over. He did not care that he caused this major inconvenience. The two eyebrow ladies are skilled. They give you the option of thick, medium, or thin and then they go to town. If you ever walk in and see a large crowd, it's usually because about 65% of the ladies need to get their brows arched. I like this place because it's quick and it's only $5 (cash only). They are the only shop I've been to who didn't make it look like I had singed my brows and tried to hide it. I usually go during a lunch hour and always leave with plenty of time to eat. I came here because it was close to my house and I needed my acrylic nails taken off. The nail tech first tried prying off my acrylics with an unused acrylic nail and without soaking or filing or anything. It was incredibly painful and I had to ask him twice to stop and take them off another way. After soaking, he used the dremel tool so aggressively that it went through my thumb nail and started bleeding. I also ended up with what I believe to be his blood on my other thumb nail. My acrylics were not even completely removed, there are still chunks of them on my natural nails as i type this. After removing most of my acrylics he haphazardly cut my nails and left them extremely sharp, uneven, and scraggly looking. They are cash only which isn't terrible but it is inconvenient. Overall, I have never had such a poor experience at a nail salon. read more

I've actually visited Lee's since the early 90's and it isn't at all what it used to be and that is saying it lightly. I believe Almeda Rd. deserves a much better nail salon and Lee's takes advantage of the fact they are the only nail salon in that area and the length of time they have been there. In my opinion, Lynn - the eyebrow specialist - is the only reason anyone should visit Lee's Nails. They don't accept anything but cash - that's a shady sign to me -, it is dark and the atmosphere isn't pleasant, the quality of the pedicure/manicure is horrific and something I could probably do myself, they don't have a vast array of colors, and I once had my eyelashes done there and I stopped the person after doing the 1st eye b/c it looked like a spider. I've been getting my eyebrows done by Lynn since I've graduated from Texas Southern University in 2008. Lynn, doesn't do anything else in the nail shop but eyebrows and she only charges $5 to make magic happen to your face. Five stars for Lynn's work and thats it! If you don't mind the agurments, confusion and wait to get your eyebrows done then Lynn is your eyebrow guru. The arguments and confusion doesn't take place until like 2pm - 7pm on week days when everyone is off from work or getting off from work. If I could give the establishment a seperate rating from Lynn's rating...I would give this place 2 stars. Only because I feel that...they need to establish a waiting system for customers to avoid confusion, aurgurments and fights and they need to update their establishment's decor and parking lot. Customers who have been waiting to see Lynn often get a little hostile when it comes to waiting too long to get their eyebrows hooked up. I've witnesse many altercations with women getting ready to duke it out because both ladies assumed they were next in line to see Lynn. Yeah, this nail shop is considered to be in the hood (I don't considered Almeda st. the hood) and yeah you will run into a few ratchet incidents but bet if you get your eyebrows done by Lynn you'll always want to go back.
