BUT, here goes: 1st time here, referred by a friend, and i think I'm going to switch nail shops until i can find something closer to home. Every nail saloon I've gone to, all the girls / employee's speak in their native tongue. Which I don't mind, but when they make it obvious they are talking about me or another customer, that I can't tolerate. These girls don't do that. They all seem very nice and made me feel very comfortable. They also do an amazing job on the nails. So, now coming a few years forward, I have found a location closer to home. Since I work at night, I usually do my pampering in the morning, so walking in and immediately getting a chair was no problem. I came in for a pedicure and gel manicure to get ready for my baby shower this coming weekend. I had a french manicure design I had looked up the night before and showed it to one of the ladies (sorry, forgot her name) and said she can do it. She needed the picture as reference while she was doing my nails, and she did an awesome job! I like the fact that she looked at both hands to make sure her work was nice and even before she had me stick my hand in the uv light for drying. Total price for the pedicure w/ callus removal, french gel manicure w/ design was $53, waaaayyy less than the $75 I've paid at another nail salon. The place also has nice decor - simple, elegant, and most especially, clean. Each nail tech had a drawer full of new nail files that they pull out and use for each new customer. I really like this place. They do a great job and don't pressure you to get extra services. If you get multiple services, like mani/pedi, you have the same person. It may take a little longer, but it's kind of cool that they get the full tip instead of splitting and their attention is completely on you. My new place! read more

This review is solely based on my experience with Thuy today and does not reflect on the entire staff as I have worked with countless nail technicians and the owner herself, Vivian. However in the future if you get Thuy I highly recommend you request another technician. I requested for Vivian or Antuan but since those two are specialists in acrylic they do not handle gel manicures which is what I got today. I requested my nails be trimmed shorter and shaped like a coffin but I had to keep asking her to file it since the ends were more rounded. At one point she was filing so hard she cut me on the side of my nail which made the remaining part of my manicure very painful. At the very end after she was done painting she even took nipers to the edge of my nail and cut off a piece of the side since she missed putting paint on that side and now my natural nail is permanently crooked. I cannot express how unprofessionally done my nails looked and after sitting there for almost 2 hours I just gave up and left with my jacked up manicure and all. When I showed Vivian she offered to fix it but she was with another client and I had no more time to spend in the salon. It's upsetting because I'm leaving for vacation and having a poorly done manicure is like a bad haircut, very disheartening spending money on a service you don't even like. All in all, ask for Vivian, Antuan, or Andy. But do not let this lady Thuy anywhere near your cuticles. read more

I had an appointment for a Mani and Pedi at 6pm. Here I am an hour later with my feet in cold water and nothing has been done. They said they were running behind which I completely understand. An hour behind is unacceptable. I love this place! I've tried other places but Lee's is the most professional. They are very friendly and are always asking if everything is ok. I had my full set done by Mike and pedi done by Kim. The work was great! The shape was exactly how I wanted it. Both technicians were very gentle. I will not go anywhere else. And when I paid Tommy made sure to ask if I was happy with all the services. Overall the service was ok. The staff doesn't speak much English. I was trying to ask them if they autoclave the instruments they use but I couldn't get a straight answer. But not only that it was my first time doing the S&S dip. When I noticed they don't cut the cuticle, I ask why my cuticles aren't being cleaned/cut. The tech explain to me, which I accepted the reason but later on she said I can cut it afterwards if you want. I was like ok. But when it came to paying my bill is $5 more than I expected. I book my appointments only with IVY and JP IVy's on vacation I explained I have ingrown toenails, so I need someone that's really good they recommended Lonnie, and the price was going to be $20 there is no such thing it starts at 25 & up! 9-13-16 I made an appointment for a pedi with Lonnie, oh that was a mistake from the moment I looked at nail polishes! She was rude, huffing and puffing like I was keeping her! Not to mention. I was 10 minutes early! I chose the polish, the water was barely warm, I said to Lonnie, this water is barely warm, she laughed and went about her business. Lonnie kept trying to up-sale , no thank you, over and over again! Than when she herd I scuba dive, gel is better, gel for you, no thank you,gel polish is better, no thank you, I will stick to what I chose, Lonnie said, you really need gel polish, I have tried it, it was horrible, chipped, never again! After I was finished ,my bill was $33.00 and it was Horrible! Lonnie didn't polish the nail completely, it looks as if I have re-growth after two weeks that's how bad the polish looks! Not to mention she didn't tell me she made me bleed! I will never go back they lost a good customer who tips well. Now I need to find someone to repolish my toes before my trip! I have a love hate with this salon. After my last visit, definitely won't be coming back. Clean salon, friendly staff and usually they are pretty quick. They line their foot baths with plastic liners, use fresh utensils out of a sterile bag but the quality of their products is terrible. I had a gel mani and pedi. I've been getting gel for such a long time and never have issues with chipping, fading or dirty nails. Everytime I've come here, I always get chipped,dirty nails within a week. This time my nails were completely stained with dirt not even 24 hours after my manicure. They don't take the gel off comfortably so I won't go back to have my nails re-done. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. ((First time here!!))After trying so many products on my nails, like gel, acrylics, etc. I have chosen my favorite being DIPPING POWDER. I have been getting dipping powder on my nails for about 3 years now. I didnt like hoe acrylic left my nails brittle and thin. It was do damaging. I went to Lee's about a week ago and i signed in with my name and service i needed and wanted. I was also asked by the woman at the front desk what service i would be getting. I clearly told her 2 times i wanted DIPPING POWDER and a pedicure. She then repeated my answer and asked, "full set? Or fill?" I was a bit confused but thought, " well yes, i need new dip. Not fill." So i said, "Yes i need this old powder off and get new one." Again she asked, "new set?" Anyway we proceeded to seat me and start my services. (The pedicure was great!) i chose my color and keep in mind that it was my first visit. Every salon does things differently so i didnt question why i was given a gel swatch of colors. The lady working on my nails began removing my old powder and filing it away. She didnt remove all of it. Usually when doing powder they apply a coat or 2 of a clear coat as a base to make your nail firm. So i thought my nail s had a good base and she didnt have to remove it completely. She starts putting a brush into the powder and again I believed they do things differently because i have never seen acrylic put on a nail without a tip/extension nail. She shapes and files and then i see she brings out a gel color! I then realize idk what the eff this woman even did. She added acrylic and was about to add gel! NONE OF WHAT I ASKED FOR NEVER DID I IMPLY! i am not a really confrontational person at businesses. I just never return. I ask for a clear polish and end of service. I go to pay and i tell the woman that i did not want this kind of service on my hands and i wanted DIP POWDER. She then says," i told her 2 times. Two times." And she turns to the lady and nods at her. I do not believe it was the manicurists fault. I told the front desk lady and she should've supervised better because she walked Around more than once. In the end she didnt even apologize and charged me for full services. $66 and for a clear coat of acrylic i doubt its $41 because a pedicure is $25! I was not asked if i wanted to fix them or come back. Now im hoping my nails dont get ruined by the acrylic. I grew them out for months! read more

This is review is for my third visit for a pedicure at this place. A little background: The first visit was okay, although I was left a little battered from a scratchy leg massage. The polish was done very nicely. I tried a second time two weeks later and the pedicure was just okay. I noticed the pedicure took a lot less time than the previous visit. Today I returned and I was helped by "GINA". Gina was quite rough and I did not enjoy the leg massage or the callous removal where she rubbed my skin so rough it was bleeding and raw. She also cut the cuticle so deep that she made it bleed. After seeing the blood she poured acetone on the cuts causing burning and stinging pain. My feet are in terrible pain and I am going to go back to show the management my bloody feet and what a horrible job Gina did on my pedicure. read more

I went to them because my regular nail place was busy and I usually get a pedicure by my regular place takes about 45 min to do my pedicure they scrub all the dead skin and massage your feet for about $16 and I give them tip about $5 extra, well I was expecting the same experience at this place not only do they get you out in approximately 20 min they ask you if you want the deluxe treatment with scrub and it's $38, no I don't think so, so I just get a regular pedicure basically they just soaked you feet in water and cut your nails and clean the dead skin around the nail then put the nail polish on and it cost $18 and they were not that busy. I will say that the reason I gave them a 2 star is because they had nice color for nail polish. Now I appreciate my regular nail place won't go back to this place it's too commercial. read more

I'v had my nails done here twice now. First time i hated my gels right off the bat I knew they weren't being done correctly, I smiled and paid and left very unhappy. Big bubbles and a mile away from my cuticle and pealed off a few days later. (Anna) Second time I had another lady (Ivy) do my gels and I love them!!!!! But, the same lady (Anna) as last time did my toes. Burnt me with water, while she was scrubbing my feet she dropped the pumas stone ON THE FLOOR, picked it up, dunked it in my pedicure chair water to "rinse it off" THEN CONTINUED TO SCRUB MY FEET WITH THE SAME STONE!!! Also cut my nail super weird and short only on one side????? I feel like I'm going to get an ingrown toe nail now. Ivy had to fix my toes for me. Thank you Ivy for taking care of me!! I went here tonight after seeing the rave reviews online. My usual place closed early, so I decided to venture over. My "spa pedicure" was nothing worth raving about. I was actually concerned that the nail technician cut my cuticle so close that there is a significant scab where she nicked me as I type this review. I didn't see any difference between a pedicure that I give myself at home (no calice remover or even offer, no scrub) and a mediocre massage. I asked the nail tech to get me a color that matched (as the owner offered that they do this) and she used the same nail polish from my gel manicure. We will see how this holds up. I was one of the only ones there that they would not do the gel manicure with the pedicure, so I had to wait. My gel manicure was ok. The nail tech was slow, but not careful. After asking for her to put a second coat on, because you could see my nail bed underneath...it still looks light. Interested to find out how this holds up as well. Overall, for a "spa pedicure" & gel manicure I paid $43. For the 1 1/2 hrs I was there, I ended up getting really bored. Nothing on the TV worth watching (football at a nail shop, really?) and a nail tech who seemed unsure. Will be venturing back to my usual place, as they provide more in-depth service for the same price. Now back to nursing my wound from the pedicure. read more

Made an appointment but still had to wait 10 min when I got there because they where extremely busy, understandable since it was friday afternoon. I went a few weeks ago because my friend gave me a birthday gift card and I loved Ivy's work. I got gel manicure and she did a great job. My nails looked so natural and nice. The gel has lasted 3 weeks and still looks perfect. It's grown out but no chipping at all. I'm going back today for another gel manicure and I'm also getting my pedicure too.
