Ogden's best kept secret!!! This place is sooooo good! Love it! The sauces can be tricky but, I just followed what was posted and I absolutely loved it! Can't wait to come back! read more

If you like mongolian bbq you'll be disappointed. They limit the meat and their selection of veggies is spartan. Ogden could use a good Mongolian but this place is like a 50's cafeteria converted to a Mongolian BBQ. You kinda feel like washing your hands AFTER you've eaten there. read more

Lee's is an Ogden institution with terrific Mongolian BBQ. It is one of those old standards that give you exactly what you expect. For those unfamiliar, a Mongolian BBQ is simply a bowl of vegetables and meat with a selection of sauces. Nothing is complex. You pick your veggies, your meat and then add the sauces you like. It's then cooked on a hot iron grill. The cool thing about the experience is you are effectively the cook. You define what tastes and textures you like. In all, it's an easy place to enjoy because you can create your own concoction. I also like that I get to define the size of my meal. If I am feeling really hungry, I can go for the AYCE or just do a small bowl on normal days. They also offer "egg rolls" which are unique to the restaurant. Fried up in an egg batter, they are light, crunchy and delicious. They have even recently started to serve crab and cheese wontons as well and they are very good. The food here is not amazing but it is definitely a great spot when you are in the mood. Lee's doesn't pretend to be fancy or provide anything more than the BBQ. I have been dining here for years and it is always the same and always delicious. Yes, the inside is dated but it is great where it counts! This is one of the reason's I continue to come back. When I am in the mood for Mongolian BBQ, I head to Lee's. read more

Worth the 45 min drive to Ogden fit this! Fantastic! I love the beef/pork combo, load up on pineapple and be sure to use all the spices. Douse liberally with garlic. Best Mongo BBQ in the west! read more

Lee's Mongolian BBQ - Mountains 'o food! - Mongolian Near Me - Ogden, Utah

I've been coming here for almost 27 years. I love the simplicity of the menu, the good food, and the sweet people who work here as well as the amazing owners. The egg rolls are more uniform in shape now, but still awesome. I miss the old pocket bread, but I still enjoy everything else. Mix up the sauces and try different mixes, you will love it! Use pineapple juice instead of the sweet sauce for a different kick. Great for groups or dates. You can even come in and pick up an order to go! read more

Lee's Mongolian BBQ - My pork BBQ. Pineapple juice instead of sweet sauce and a half scoop of curry. - Mongolian Near Me - Ogden, Utah

This place is an Ogden staple! I really enjoy all the vegetable and sauce selections they have available. The meat is great, but I do think it would be tastier if it was fresh instead of frozen. With that being said, it's still great food. Good drink selections and I also enjoy their soup. I can't do all you can eat, but that's just me. I opt for the one bowl only and that fills me up. read more

This place is such a rip. I mean, it's good for Mongolian BBQ - but once you've had one bowl, you've had the whole menu. But since this is an Ogden tradition - it has a cult following and the owner capitalizes on it. I can't justify spending $40+ on a meal for one adult and 2 small kids when I can do better just down the road for about half that. Single trips through the BBQ need to be less than $10. Kids 12 and under should be half that. All you can eat? $15? Fine. I never go through twice. read more

Great food. I love it. Downside. Not all kids like to go here. It's more for adults in my opinions. read more

It's amazing what happens when you take some thinly shaved meat, several lack luster ingredients and flavored oils and heat it up. So Tasty! read more

A great stir fry place, and fantastic egg rolls! If you like a good beer-battered fish you will love these egg rolls! I go here regularly, but this was the first time I've tried the egg rolls... They were amazing! read more

Comparable to hu hot, but they need more flavor options for and the meal is overpriced.

Let the run down neighborhood be a sign this is good stuff!! The inside is clean and the food is delicious. People that complain about the "lack of options" don't know how to do Mongolian right. The egg rolls aren't as good as they were 20+ years ago, but they are bigger. The lobster sauce is an acquired taste, go easy on it your first times. But ask for their sweet and sour sauce and put it in your bowl when back at the table! Coke and Pepsi products to suit all preferences Lee is almost always there and will gladly assist noobies. "The more meat the better the bowl." he usually says. Just pay the dollar for the AYCE and don't try to stack your bowl to the sky. If that dollar makes or breaks your budget and the amount of food you think you deserve in one bowl, just stick with your dollar menu at the fast food joint you deserve. read more

The atmosphere is nice and small and the music is themed. You get all the meats you get at most Mongolian restaurants. The wontons, sesame seed bread and egg drop soup were all great and the dipping sauce for the bread had a nice apple flavor--probably the highlight of the meal for me. If I could offer advice it would be to have more options as far as noodles and sauces and add ons like jalapeños and peanuts which both go well with Mongolian. Price was okay and size of the bowl was nice. read more

See all

Wayyyy overpriced. I'm a regular Mongolian goer and I've never seen it priced this high. $14.75 for a bowl? More if you want to go through the line more than once. And even more on the weekends! I'd maybe consider that price if it was a Saturday night but $14.75 was for a Monday night. And the food was good but not that good. There's very limited choices compared to other places around. Not impressed enough to pay that same price again. read more

Lee's is a total dive on the outside but the inside wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We walked in the door and they directed us to a table. We sat down to wait for a waitress to bring menu's. The owner came over because it was obvious we didn't know what we were doing. He walked us through the process. And here it is: Walk up to the bar, grab a bowl and choose your meat (beef, chicken, pork, etc.) then add your noddles & veggies. Then you come to the sauces. There's soy sauce, lobster sauce, sweet, vinegar, veg. oil, seseme oil, curry sauce, & garlic. Not knowing what I was doing I added a couple scoops. The owner came to help and showed me their suggested sauce mixture. I ended up adding about 15 scoops to the bowl and then I handed it off to the lady who cooked it on the grill. Within a minute she handed it back and I was enjoying my delicious Mongolian BBQ. The one and only waitress for the whole place brought our drinks and complimentary rice, egg drop soup, pocket bread (try stuffing it with your bbq) and cream cheese wantons. We also ordered egg rolls. DELICIOUS! As far as pricing, there are no menus but everything is written on blackboards. One time through the BBQ line is $9.45 and unlimited times through the line is $10.45. No brainer there. Except you do get full pretty fast. Soda is your standard $1.99 with unlimited refills. Egg rolls were 70 cents each. And they had a couple other sides you could order. So dinner for myself & my hubby came to $26. Not bad at all. Definitely worth it and we'll be going back soon! read more

I love this place I hear five years ago and ate again tonight it's as good as I remember the sauces and the choices make a delicious meal the bread is incredible read more

Delicious food! I've been here a couple of times. Lunch is a better value than dinner. I love all the toppings and the flavor is excellent. Pile it on as you go through - it cooks down. read more

Their food is absolutely amazing. I love going here and making a bowl of completely wonderful goodness

I really haven't found a 5 star Mongolian restaurant but this is by far better than the others and I've been going here for 20 years. The staff is friendly, there's many selections of food, and the sauces are done right. Nobody does the sauces right, but Lee's has that down. It would definitely be considered a hole in the wall sitting on Washington Blvd in Ogden, Ut but it's comfortable and for sure worth a shot! read more

I love going here for lunch, it is quick and easy. Simple food done well, another reviewer stated there was no way to make the food not bland and that is NOT true. There are many sauces available, including curry. If you think curry is bland then...... The egg rolls are awesome and the staff friendly. I did have to ask for a box since i had leftovers, but that is a very minor complaint. read more

This place is terrible and pricey. They serve shaved, frozen chicken. Read that again. Yep. Disgusting.

I'm not sure about other options in this area, but for the Mongolian grills I'm use to, this place has extremely limited options. No vegetarian protein offerings, not even eggs. And there was like 5 or 6 sauce options, with no extra seasonings. Everything was very bland. read more

Excellent food and friendly service! Enjoyed the atmosphere and the idea of making your own is fun. Price is reasonable. It was fun to find this dive so close to downtown. read more

My cohorts and I go here a lot for lunch because we rarely have to wait. I could eat about a million of those eggrolls yum! You always have leftovers and I love that plus it's nice to be able to literally choose everything in your food. Only 2 cons (why I knocked it down a star): For lunch they only have chicken and no other meat choices I added so much sauce that it was literally like soup and it was still on the bland side..you guys watering it down? Hasn't always been like that! read more

This place is terrible... I've been here twice and both times I was left regretting my decision. The server never asked us how everything was.. The veggies looked old, they didn't have a separate utensils each selections, they could've cleaned the counters better... It doesn't compare to the layton location. read more

Lee's Mongolian BBQ - This place is the worst! I only ate the rice. Definitely prefer the restaurant in layton over this place. Terrible! - Mongolian Near Me - Ogden, Utah

I love this place. It's an Ogden original. It's a "hole in the wall" joint that pleases. I like to mix meats in my bowl and go heavy on the veggies. There's almost an informal contest between regulars to see who can get food stacked the highest in their bowls. Don't worry about being messy when loading your bowl- they clean up constantly. Go with the recommended quantities on the sauces until you've been a few times. I go less on the oils and lobster sauce and more on the soy, curry, and garlic. Tips: if you want to try something more go with a side of fry bread and an egg roll. They're definitely not "healthy" but they are very good. Only reason this place didn't get 5 stars from me is that I wish there were more choice for things to add to your bowl. I've been to other similar restaurants that have much more variety- but then again those places lack the charm of Lee's. read more

Large quantities on take out Well priced and tasty. It's a good choice for a family movie night. Lots of food.

A jem in an unexpected location. The selection is limited but excellent. I really appreciate that the sauces and soups aren't overly salty like an average Mongolian grill. The service was great and for only $1 more it's all you can eat! read more

I've been going to Lee's since 1992, and have eaten at Mongolian BBQ in most states since then. I can say that Lee's is the best Mongolian BBQ EVAR. Follow the posted recipe for the liquid seasonings and you won't be disappointed. The egg rolls are puffy and amazing! EDIT: They changed their egg roll recipe and flat bread recipe. Big disappointment (minus one star for that). Talked to the owner about it and he said that it was to be more "healthy". At least the BBQ hasn't changed. read more

Wasn't to impressed. Went with a big group. We took up the whole back room. Lol. They were pretty good with such a big group. Nice place. Friendly staff. But I'd pass on the food next time. It was great food..The waitress was great, and answered all our questions.. quaint lil place. .

I loved this place. The food was amazing and the staff was great. How can you go wrong with all you can eat mongolian bbq?

The location is cramped and not kept well. The ventilation is so poor that they don't even let you add any sort of spice to your food for fear of it aggrevating the eyes of the chef. It ends up being bland and tasteless every time. They use the same shelf for raw and cooked product, so worrisome!! read more

Misunderstanding of their advertisement. They said on the ad that it's all you can eat but the lady prompted me that it's one time dish?! There were very few selections for veggies, and they were lacking a few sauces I've come to expect (citrus and peanut). The egg drop soup was nothing to write home about, and the pocket was just meh as well. Overall, very meh. I probably won't be back again. read more
